Kristen Stewart Arriving At Vocal Studio

I guess you could call this a shameless attempt for me to get extra traffic to HYA, and you’d be right. I don’t really understand what all the fuss is about Twilight, I guess it’s the new Harry Potter. I was at lunch in Philly one day across the street from a rock venue/bar called The Khyber, and there was a queue of women (who all looked the same, which was weird) who had obviously been queuing for quite some time, some had self-made t-shirts for a band called 100 Monkeys, some people had monkey hats, someone even had an inflatable banana. I guess it was pretty obvious that my friends and I were confused as to 1) who were 100 Monkeys, and 2) why were people queuing up several hours before a gig to see them, as a group of people from the queue told us that they were waiting to see “Jackson from Twilight’s band.” Naturally, when he and the rest of the band arrived, I expected Beatle-mania, but things were actually pretty calm and no one tried to cut off a lock of his hair for their vampire-styled shrines.

Anyway, whilst I was learning the fascinating news that Robert Pattison was issuing Kristen Stewart an ultimatum to get serious about their relationship (I hate myself for writing that, and admitting I know about it), I noticed that Kristen was wearing a pretty cool tee in the accompanying shots, and whilst I was searching for the tee I found that Robert Pattison had been spotted in the same design (possibly even the same tee). Two birds, one stone, I love it!

The tee has ‘Delicious Vinyl’ written on it, which made this celebritee sleuthing really rather easy since I just had to Google it, but hey, I did find the tees..

chyler leigh

I have no idea who Chyler Leigh/Lexie Grey is because I don’t watch Grey’s Anatomy, but I do really like this photo, which was in a recent mail-out from Local Celebrity.

selena_gomez_casper_t-shirt-454x640 I dont know who Selena Gomez is, she does have good taste in tees though

I have no clue who Selena Gomez is, I was going to Google her name and find out why people should/would give a damn about her, but then I realised that I probably already know more about celebrities than a lot of people should, and that I’d just appreciate this picture for what it is, a girl wearing a cute tee with Casper the Friendly Gohst on it holding a massive ice cream, which we all know is a bit of a tease for him because ghosts can’t eat.

mia-watermelon-hoodie M.I.A: All she wants to do is drop a line on Karmaloop and take your mon-ey

I know, I know, that title is ridiculously long, but come on, as far as lines go, that’s about as clever as I can get.

I’m a big, big fan of M.I.A, by which I of course mean I own Kala and haven’t listened to anything else by her, so I thought I’d post this line of clothes even if I don’t think its all that great. Here’s the blurbery:

Featuring bomber jackets, leggings and bodysuits, the debut collection is clearly designed by none other than M.I.A featuring her signature bold colors and graphic prints. This collection is limited edition and can be seen in her new video “Real Pirates of the Caribbean.” The video features a toe-headed Okley Leslie, who models the pieces from the collection that can be found on the singer’s website and purchased from Karmaloop.

The whole range can be found here at Karmaloop.

I was just emptying out all the tee pics from my HYA folder (there was more than a thousand, and I only emptied it a month or two ago!), when I noticed that I’d got a load of celebrity pics on there again. Rather than Give them all individual posts, I thought I’d just do a big megapost, since you were probably feeling a bit clean after those last two charity posts anyway.

I’m not even going to attempt to find out where you can buy these tees. You know why? Because it is Friday, and I’ve owned one of these super-fast luge/snow sleds for four years and I think I might actually get to play on it for the first time. Of course, if you want to enlighten us all in the comments about a buying location then you are very welcome.

This is a long post, so click through to see the celebritees

image004mileycyrus Miley Cyrus in a t-shirt - Oh La La

Because I’m sure that you’re not sick of celebrity t-shirt posts, here’s Miley Cyrus wearing a t-shirt based on a show that came on TV mere months after she was born, and a series of books that were written well before Billy-Ray spawned his billionaire baby.

The tee can be found on Truffle Shuffle, the UKs leading tee site for making me reminisce about the 80s, for £24.99 by following this link.

I was wondering to myself who I should finish the big celebrity marathon with, and decided that Avril Lavigne was probably the best choice since I still had a few pictures of her left, and because she has been such a frequent subject of celebrity posts in the past.

The “Little Miss VIP” tee at the top is by Public Library, and I’ve managed to find it on sale, but its a Japanese site, so your mileage may vary. In the gallery there is also a few pics of Avril wearing a “Boys Like Girls” hoodie, they’re a band, so I guess you’d only buy that if you liked the band. There’s also two fairly non-descript grey hoodies with little stars on (one hoodie with red stars, the other with blue), which I doubt is anything really special and similar items can be found in a lot of high street shops, a t-shirt that I can’t quite make out the wording on, and lastly there is a black and white hoodie from her own clothing line, Abbey Dawn.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my sojourn into the world of celebrity blogging with a HYA slant, I enjoyed doing something a little bit different. Hopefully these posts will attract a whole new slew of readers who find the site through these celebrity posts, and then hopefully stick around for a little while and end up learning more about the wonderful world of independent clothing that is covered (… I still love that pun) on a daily basis here on Hide Your Arms.

hayden-panettiere-genius-04-427x640 Hayden Panettiere is a Genius

Wondering why there are so many celebrity posts on HYA today? Look here for an explanation.

Its a little sad that on my day of celebritees I’ve been able to find so few of the tees for you guys to buy if you so wished, but this one I definitely know the source of. This t-shirt, being oh-so kindly modeled by Hayden Panettiere, says “This Girl’s A Genius”, and is available from Local Celebrity.

Yeah, I bet you didn’t think that it looked anything like a chandelier from the 70s until you read the title, and it kinda doesn’t, but at the same time… it kinda does.

I think this is a really cool tee, which is why, once again, its disappointing that I can’t find a place for you guys to buy it, but where would you really start googling that kind of a design?

Wondering why there are so many celebrity posts on HYA today? Look here for an explanation.

I know I shouldn’t, I really know, that but I do think there is something about the micro-celebrity of The Hills ’stars’ Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag that is somewhat intriguing. They’re two people who have gained their fame, as I understand it, by pretending to be themselves on TV, and have then furthered that fame by turning up to events and staged photo opportunities. Incredible.

Also incredible. The director of the photoshoot that thought it was a great idea for Spencer and Heidi to show their support for Sarah Palin and John McCain by carrying around beer and a shotgun (what great role models for kids!). Whilst the very thought of Sarah Palin as Vice President scares the hell out of me, I must admit that Spencer’s “Palin for VP: God, Guns & Glory” tee is actually one of the best designed that I’ve seen supporting the Republican cause, which isn’t saying much to be perfectly honest.
