I thought we’d kick the week off with something simple that would be good at showing off a t-shirt design with a graphic on it. The way that the stripes run across the body and the sleeves, and the contrast hood lining and drawstring is pretty cool. A 100% nylon garment probably won’t be too nice when summer comes around though…

The Biker’s Jacket by Freshjive @ Karmaloop

Freshjive have been impressing me more and more recently, although I guess it might just be the case that I’ve just been taking more notice of them since picking up one of their beanies.

I’m not entirely sure whether this is an asymmetric zip, but it appears to be, and I like that, it just gives this jacket a little bit of extra interest and makes it stand out from the competition, and the unusual way that the over-sized lapel on the left (right for the wearer) seems to come from underneath the zip is a pretty cool idea too.

Now this, this looks pretty badass. Kinda looks like leather (actually ‘coated cotton’), has a rock ‘n roll side-zip, and a big flared collar that gives it a bit of a hard-boiled private detective vibe. Tying the straps at the bottom into a bow do bring back a sense of femininity to the occasion though!

Remember when I asked about a year ago in a poll whether you guys wanted to see more outerwear on the site, you said yes and I didn’t really up the output of outerwear? Well, here’s a little something to attempt to redress the balance.

It isn’t exactly an eccentric jacket, but the styling is really impressive, simple but well cut, with a few interesting details to keep you interested. Stocks seem pretty limited at the moment, but maybe they’ll get more in at some point.
