Bunker Designs have had a bit of a makeover, the site of this Costa Rican company didn’t exactly suck before, but I really like it now, everything is nice and big and clear. Something else that is clear (that segue?), my love for the work of Aliadotony, a good proportion of my favourite tees are the result of his handiwork, so it’s hardly a surprise that I like this shirt, even i it is a bit of departure from his usual style. Bunker actually sent me a tee a while back and rather sinfully I haven’t reviewed yet (I have got the photos done though), but I can report that it is a high quality tee printed with nice, soft ink, which is everything you could hope for in a tee. There aren’t that many left in stock, so if you’re seeing this in a few weeks your luck may be out. Also, all their tees have gone from $22 to $15 at the moment, which is probably another reason why there aren’t many left.

Bunker Designs are a newish tee company that may or may not be a design contest. They certainly have things in place to be a design contest (submit and vote on designs, earn $5 per shirt sold if your design is printed), but it doesn’t seem to be promoted too much on their front page so perhaps it is a sideline and they also work with artists. Their initial 4 designs are by one of my favourite tee artists aliadotony, so clearly they know good design, which bodes well for the future. Of the bunch this is my favourite it’s a really strong, bold design with a great colour palette.

Two of the most prolific t-shirt design competition winners, rather predictably, have both won at another design competition, although both the tees are a bit of a departure from their usual styles, but I guess that when you’re submitting a design to a site called
Badashell things are going to change a bit.
Throughout the holiday season all tees at Badashell at just $14.95, which ain’t half bad.

When it was my birthday last month
Scribtee very kindly send me over a coupon to get one of their tees for free. I know that doesn’t seem like much of a difference for me, I get sent free tees pretty much every week, but its pretty rare that I get to choose them, in fact, I usually tell tee labels to pick their favourite design and send me that when they ask me to pick one. For some reason that makes me feel like I can do a more impartial review, and it helps me to get into the head of the company as well.
Since it was a birthday present I refuse to actually to a ‘proper’ review of this tee, but I will tell you that the quality is excellent, it arrived quickly, and aliadotony is one hell of a designer.

Aliadotony is rapidly becoming one of my favourite t-shirt designers, even if I on’t agree with him that
everyone can be an artist (something I’m a perfect example of).

The
Scribtee crew have dropped three designs, all of which are printed on American Apparel tees as usual;
one by Aliadotony (the grey one), one by Ninhol (the white one), and one by
Attilla “Ilja” from Berlin (the black face tattoo one). I’d say that my favourite of the bunch is Favela (the white one), all the pretty colours make me stop thinking about how crappier places they are to live!
