american flag t-shirts

If you gave me the concept of ‘a t-shirt with the American flag printed all over it’, I’d probably expect to be disappointed, and then start quoting a famous song from Team America: World Police. However, I think it’s actually pretty cool, the distressed aspect of the print certainly does help it, if it were a regular print I probably wouldn’t have written this post, but as is I think there’s something kind of fun about it and it could work as part of an outfit. Me liking a t-shirt with an all-over flag print on it? Maybe I’ve spent too much time in the sun.

live free or die America t-shirt white pine patriot

When I saw that this company was called “White Pine Patriot” I was a little worried that I’d be looking at at white supremacist clothing line (I know they exist but obviously won’t be linking to any), but I am almost entirely, completely, 100% sure that these guys just love ‘Merica and God. As usual, I’m not on board with religious shirts, they aren’t for me, but I know that there are a lot of people out there that are religious (at least five at the last count), and are totally comfortable letting people know about it in t-shirt form.

I really like the imagery of this shirt (it’s a style that runs through the whole collection), clearly it’s a style that is very appropriate for this kind of design, and printing it with discharge inks on a tri-blend is going to result in a shirt that should be softer than butter (at room temperature, it’s soft is the general point I’m trying to get across here.

space invaders t-shirt

You’d be the best dressed person at a Tea Party rally wearing this shirt! Am I the only person that sees a political angle to this shirt, it robably wasn’t Headline Shirts intention, but nevertheless I can be seen that way if you wish… or it can just be a cool tee.

stars and stripes t-shirt

I’m not the most patriotic Brit (and yes, I know this is a mightily American shirt), but red, white and blue is a pretty sweet colourway, and this tee does a lot of nice work with those colours.

Made in China T-shirt

made in china t-shirt

I think it’s funny how years ago Americans knew lots of their stuff was made in China, and that was fine, but now that the Chinese economy is a lot bigger all of a sudden stuff being from China is scary. Funnily enough, this tee is actually printed on an American Apparel t-shirt, which as we all know is famously made in downtown LA by massaged Mexicans*.

Soft Touch Reviews: Ban T-Shirts

August 30, 2006

Ahhhh, political t-shirts, my favourite. If people have the ideas and knowledge to back up their wearing of a politically orientated shirt, then I’m totally cool with them, but otherwise, I declare open season on phonies, and yes, I am talking to you, Hollywood (I presume that at least one A-lister reads the blog). And [...]

Not a t-shirt blog: Zenorschnitzel

August 11, 2006

I don’t know when this blog was taken over by Mr. Listy McListerson, but here goes anyway.1. Zenorschnitzel is a great name. 2. The owner isn’t a tee artist, she’s an architect fresh out of college, but don’t all designers love putting things on soft soft cotton? 3. Firing a shotgun at a t-shirt sounds [...]
