Two lovely new shirts from SockMonkee

by Andy on January 10, 2012

sockmonkee collection t-shirts

SockMonkee is always reliable to bring out a solid design, and luckily for us today we have two new designs from SM to enjoy. Of the two if you wanted me to pick a favourite I’d go with the ampersand, but I don’t want to take anything away from the character design because that’s pretty sweet too. Both tees are a very reasonable $18 and are available now from the SockMonkee store.

Daily Tees & News Roundup for November 1st

Zelda t-shirt

Zelda shirt from TeeFury today, nice style and colourway.

Another old design from Tilteed, they don’t seem to have released anything new for a while, I’ll drop them an e-mail to ask what is up.

It’s quite hard to tell from the image above, but the skull in this shirt is made of kisses, thus the name ‘Long Kiss Goodnight.’

This tee from Shirt.Woot is surprisingly Anglo-centric, I didn’t know Americans knew the Guy Fawkes story.

Great Gremlins shirt from RIPT today.

OtherTees have a Portal gun sketch up for the next few days.

As someone who enjoys killing time with Angry Birds, I can appreciate this 24tee shirt.

Once again Barbie is a slut at Loviu.

I feel like the Mario image is a little bit awkward on this Catch of the Day Tee shirt, but I do still like the design overall, and I’m not sure how I’d prefer Mario to look, so it’s a bit of an unfair comment.

Japanese -inspired design from Shirt Punch. Man, I’d love to go back to Japan on another holiday.

Ugmonk have released a premium wooden ampersand (that holds itself to a stainless steel base with a super strong magnet) priced at $299 that makes me wish I knew how to use the very expensive CNC that we have in our workshop (for my other job). As someone who has been around wood for his entire life I feel that it is a bit pricey, but then I’m looking at it as a product rather than art, and with it being a limited first run of 15 pieces I can see how that has pushed up the price.

Neighborhood have released a new expensive t-shirt.

Today only you can get 20% off your order at Glamour Kills with the coupon code TRICKORTREAT.

New blogger on HYA Goodfibres have cut the price of their shirts to £15 until November 7th.

PalmerCash have 20 new shirts in stock, presumably these are two of them.

Storenvy are giving away two signed copies of the Thread’s Not Dead book. IATT have all the details, be sure to enter before November 4th.

Wrongwroks have had a big release in their webstore, not many tees so I didn’t think I should give them their own post.

And lastly, your daily reading for t-shirt store owners from Mashable, “How to Time Your Facebook Posts to Reach the Most Fans“.

I think I like the concept of this tee more than the execution, the ammo portion just look a bit bleurgh to me, which is my way of saying I don’t particularly care for it and have no good way of describing it.

Ampersandwich by Simplebits

by Andy on January 10, 2010

If there was one character that defined typography tees last year, it was the ampersand. It was everywhere, and I don’t really have a problem with that because as far as characters go, it is interesting, you’re never going to see ‘l’ as the hot new character, are you?

Sandwiches are always popular, I was just thinking a couple of days ago that I really like cooking (I made my own pastrami a few days ago), but I’d never be able to own a restaurant because I don’t think I’m clever or good enough for that class of food, but I bet I could run a great sandwich shop, because I love sandwiches, and the state of the British sandwich industry often disappoints me, especially compared to the glorious sandwiches I had in Philly (a city renowned for it’s ability to put meat between bread).

So, a tee which combines two popular things = good.

Hey Andy,

Wanted to let you know about the new Ugmonk hoody ($52) that I just released. It based on Ugmonk’s best-seller “And Then I Woke Up” and is printed on zinc* AA zip-up fleece. I have also added an extra touch with custom Ugmonk woven hem tags.

Thanks in advance!

I know some of you don’t like tags, but that one on the bottom hem is so hot (/paris).

We are proud to present our brand new Fall Line! We’ve been working for months
and months are so glad to finally release it! We hope you love it as much as we
do. We’ve got 7 new T-Shirts (including our first V-Neck!), 1 new hoodie and 2

our favorite designs from the past.

Also, we made a special Snakes & Suits shirt that we are giving away for

It’s limited to 100 and will never be printed again. Yes, it is a surprise as

And Then I Woke Up by Ugmonk

by Andy on October 17, 2008

Don’t get all pissy because I’m jumping on the popular trend of ampersand tees, at least this one tries something different by putting the “the I woke up” text within the character and actually has a bit of a concept to it rather than “hey, ampersands are cool nowadays, why don’t we put one of them on a t-shirt?”

Costiness=$21 Buy it at Ugmonk

*Ugmonk have also released the popular ‘lowercase‘ design on a black tee.
