My old buddies at Bean Dip have dropped a few new tees, hoods and hats, so be sure to pop on over and check them out. Thinking about it, these guys make some real quality goods, I’ve got a white hoodie of theirs that’s a couple of years old now, gets worn often, and still looks good.

My buddies over at Bean Dip have got a big, big new line out, and it’s got loads of great looking tees in it, but I thought you guys might appreciate a hoodie post since that is one of the reasons why people come to this site, not just for tees. It’s a fairly simple design, but the colours and simplicity work well… and dammit if I don’t love the location for their photoshoot.

This is likely to be the last deals post of the year because I’m taking Mrs. HYA (we aren’t actually married, but saying ‘my girlfriend’ doesn’t sound quite as fun) to London for the weekend, and tomorrow is looking like it’s going to be a busy one in terms of non-fun non-tee related activity, and then there’s not much point posting next week because of Christmas jollity and friends coming back to the area for the festive season, though if something big comes up then I’ll try and let you know.

My favourite food blog, Serious Eats, have released a list of tees for foodies. Well, I wouldn’t call it a list because it’s only got 11 items on it, to me it’s not really a list unless you question the will to live whilst putting it together and then realising it probably wasn’t worth it since it wasn’t about Star Wars (me? bitter?).
PopJunkie and their weird lapdancing clip-art are going to keep their sale going until the end of the year, so no need to rush then!

As mentioned in the past, I don’t write like I’m ‘cool’ but even I’m willing to stick my neck out and call this t-shirt fresh. I actually have it in the orginial ‘monochrome print, black tee’ style, and it looks good like that (the tee is quite thick, running to normal size, with a plastisol print), but if that’s a bit normal for you then these new options will probably be of interest.

[This picture is just to prove that I do leave the house sometimes and don’t just blog about clothes] You’d have thought that Black Friday would have been the high point for sales, but I think my inbox has actually been seeing more hot sale action than ever before over the past week or so. If I wrote a post about every deal I think I’d still be writing about them after Christmas, so instead of that, what follows will be an orgy of savings.

It’s weird how I just stop writing about companies for months or years at a time even when I’m really big fans of theirs and still wear their clothing on a regular basis, I guess there’s just so many companies out there that its hard for me to keep tabs on everyone that I like.
Bean Dip, who were last mentioned on HYA in December 2007, have released a couple of new tees that very much differ in style. The first is their take on the iconic photograph of Muhammad Ali stood over Sonny Liston. In my second year at university we had that exact same image as a poster in the living room, and I’m sure a lot of other guys would have too, so I can imagine this being a pretty popular t-shirt. The second design is a bit of a departure for BD, they’ve taken a page from a comic book (or should I call them graphic novels now?) and put it onto a tee, which I think is a pretty cool idea, and it works really well as just a line drawing, rather than colouring everything in which might have made it look a little cheesy. Both are available in a vairety of colourways.
Although, BD, what’s the deal with the retro logo?
