Happy T-shirt Day!

PICT1439

I’d hoped to do a really big post or posts relating to T-shirt day, but with me working full-time at the moment doing manly things (digging, mixing concrete, laying pipes, cutting slate & breaking stuff with a sledgehammer) I haven’t been able to find any time for it. I felt it would be remiss of me not to give it at least a mention though.I thought it would be fitting to post a picture of that yellow tee from Bean Dip clothing, since they were the first people to ever send me a t-shirt sample for review, and it was when people started sending me tees and companies started e-mailing me that I realised I might not be all that bad at this clothes blogging malarkey. I could get all emotional on you about how t-shirts have changed my life, because they have, but let’s remember that t-shirt day isn’t actually a international day (June 20th is also International Refugee Day, which puts things into perspective a bit), and that its meant to be lots of fun celebrating t-shirts, I’m not entirely sure how someone is meant to celebrate t-shirts, but I’m sure that you guys will find a way somehow.

T-shirt Day

Just so we’re clear, this isn’t a t-shirt blog, but if you send me a t-shirt, I’m not just gonna be walking around town shouting “hey! look at me and my awesome shirt!” I’m gonna review it, because that’s just the polite thing to do. Hell, you could send me a couple of stickers and I’d joyfully make a post about them.

Beandip clothing were featured a month ago, and James from Beandip liked my write-up so much he sent a tee all the way from Florida to the UK.

I’m not just being nice when I say that it’s a really great tee, it looks even better in real life than on their site (as most tees do). The design is delightfully distressed, well, not distressed, kind of like a photocopy on a t-shirt, I dunno what to call it, as a clothes blogger I’m learning as I go along. Oooh, let’s call it ‘photostressed’.

My one is yellow (duh!), but they have a lot of other colours, and every shirt is made to order, which I guess explains why mine has the two guys on my side rather than further to the front, which I prefer, maybe James decdided that was a better look and hasn’t got round to changing the site yet.

Costiness=$18 URL here.

More shots of me taking pictures of myself in the bathroom after the jump (not quite as seedy or camwhore-y as it seems).

(more…)

I know I’m forgetting something

tee
I like the abstract nature of this hoody, even though I don’t really know what ‘collard greens’ are, must be an American thing… readers?

Anyway, Beandip clothing make every sweater and tee to order. Their hoody range is pretty interesting (as are their hats) so check out what they have to offer. Personally, I just think there’s something kinda cool about wearing a shopping list…

Costiness=$48, only large available and the hoody URL is here.
