Viesign Fan Shirts [Submitted]

by Andy on January 18, 2013

minimal mario t-shirt

I’m Randy Verschueren, and I create T-Shirts about stuff that i like, sometimes people get why i like something, other times I’m all alone in my fandom. None of the less I try and make cool shirts that people like to wear.

I also create private commission shirts, so if there is anything at all that you would like on a shirt, you can commission Viesign to illustrate it.

Andy: I’m a touch uncomfortable with just how short that Power Ranger’s skirt is, but I do like the minimalist video game characters (there;s more on the site).

Three new shirts from Sehubabe

by Andy on July 6, 2012

sehubabe t-shirts

Is it just me or is it a little strange for Sehubabe to release a t-shirt with three celebrities on it who died whilst in the bath? The flowers are nice though.

Each shirt is available now for €24 a piece.

8-bit skull t-shirt

Beligum’s finest continue to set high standards for themselves. Really impressive release, they seem to manage to have a certain style but still manage to appeal to different niches with their looks, which I assume is no mean feat. I’ve already got too many pictures in this post but it’s worth mentioning that some of the designs are available on different colour blanks and also as tank tops.

free your mind

I like the style of the graphic on this sweater & hoodie from Dawn Clothing (a Belgian brand), there’s a kind of graphic novel feel to it that lends itself to the design. Here’s some info about the item from Dawn themselves:

- The hoodie/sweater itself is made of 100% organic fair trade cotton, so it’s good for both man and earth.
– it is printed with environmental friendly water-based inks.
– I really focused on getting the best blanks I could this time, ensuring that they would be super soft,
warm and fit nicely. And at the same time not only carry a message of change with the brand
and it’s designs, but actually have an impact myself by using organic and fair trade products.
– The design is about having a close-minded or limited view on the world/life. I thought that a person
wearing blinkers would be a cool metaphor for this message. If you look a bit closer you will
see that this character is holding a pair of scissors, trying to cut the blinkers and freeing himself
from his own narrow mind.

Death, Shred Fall/Winter 2011 Collection

by Andy on November 18, 2011

death shred winter release

Generally, I wouldn’t consider myself a fan of the style of Death,Shred, but they are just so good at what they do, and so good at presenting it, that I can’t help but love almost everything that they release. Some of these shirts are available in different colourways, and for the first time they’ve also printed shirts in size XL, so my chunky brothers and sisters can also enjoy one of Beligum’s finest brands.

death shred coupon code

Fresh from their name switch of Dead, Serious! to Death, Shred! the DS! team need to clear out the old stock, and as so many other have worked out, the best way to do that is by dropping your prices. If you were really attached to the Dead,Serious! name then this will be your last chance to pick up goods with them on. They’ve set up the coupon code HIDEYOURARMS which is good for 35% off your order from now (actually, before now, but I took the weekend off) until October 27th, enjoy!

death shred

While working hard on their European distribution network, DS! unfortunately bumped into someone who also used ‘dead serious’ for his own company.

To make a long story short. They didn’t want to face any legal charges against them & stay independent as before, so they moved on with another name. And that new name is Death, Shred!
They felt this was the best decision, especially with their plans in expanding the brand worldwide.

Along with the new name comes a brand new website (www.deathshred.com), made by the lovely people from The Black Axe.

They also introduce their team to the outside world. One of the newest team members is William Spencer, skateboarder extraordinaire with a great sense of style, creativity & originality.

Within a month there will also be a new collection but until then you can get a 20% discount on their online store by using the code ‘deathshred1981‘ which is valid until October 20th.

Go & pick one up before they’re all gone.

[Andy: I like how they’ve changed the name, but it’s still pretty close to being the same, hopefully it won’t impact on them too much. Also, I believe this is our first submission from a brand whose native tongue isn’t English, which is cool, and I’m glad that this bunch of Belgians didn’t submit in Flemmish, I wouldn’t have known what was going on.]

sehubabe x dour festival t-shirt and hoodie

I had heard of the Dour Festival before, as it occurs in Belgium I’d never really given it much thought, but then I got an e-mail from Sehubabe, who are selling the official tee and hoodie of the festival, so I gave it a closer look. I wish I hadn’t, because there are a lot of cool acts playing, and if I were the kind of person that could handle drinking and dancing for a whole weekend I’d want to go, but I think I’ll leave all that nonsense to the young folks. Thankfully though, the clothing doesn’t seem to have anything on it that screams ‘I was at Dour Festival 2010′ , which means you don’t need to hang out in Belgium for 3 days to justify owning it (well, it has ‘dour’ written on it, but I think you can get away with that). Tees are €12, and the hoodie is €25, which is a damn good deal by European standards.

Incidentally, I’ll be hanging out in Belgium for 3 days in a couple of weeks, anyone got any tips for me in Brussels?

I know it’s a bit random to post that a fellow tee blog is selling stickers, but we tee bloggers gotta stick together, and there’s no denying that those are some nice looking stickers.

Toykyo S/S09 [Preview]

by Andy on April 17, 2009

toykyo1

Okay, they’ve technically released these tees, but you can’t buy them because the online shop isn’t quite ready yet, so this is a preview of tees that don’t need to be previewed because I’ve been given the opportunity to review them (but with the end of my tenure in Philly not that far off I’m not accepting any new review tees at the moment).

I don’t like to point out previews too often, but these three tees look cool enough that they’ll go from “hey, they’re cool” when I tell you they’re available to “hey, that was worth waiting for.”

*UPDATE* I have been informed that you can, in fact, buy the tees, you just have to e-mail info@toykyo.be to place your order, a process that will be unnecessary when the webshop is opened.

Mad Girl Nancy

by Andy on October 23, 2008

Who would have though that such a cool clothing line could have come from Belgium? Well, it does and it is, check out the gallery for some great designs, especially that grey hoodie. Oh, and sorry guys, this one is for the ladies.

I don’t think you can order anything off their website, but they are carried at a long list of stockists all over Europe.

As we’ve established in the past, I am not cool, so its totally fine that I’ve never heard of Belgian indie pop band Girls in Hawaii, and whilst I still haven’t checked on their music, I do like what they’ve helped to do to this t-shirt.

Costiness=€24 Buy it link/Rumplo Link

When I took my mini break earlier this week it was because I headed down to London to wave goodbye to this guy since he moved to Brussels yesterday. In the interests of maintaining a decent segue I thought it would be appropriate to post Toykyo, a Belgian-based production and design company that also sell art/clothing/plush dolls and urban vinyl. They’ve got a cute and fun style and really know their way around t-shirts, so hopefully this first run of three designs (limited to 200 pieces each) will lead to more releases in the future.
