I was wondering to myself who I should finish the big celebrity marathon with, and decided that
Avril Lavigne was probably the best choice since I still had a few pictures of her left, and because she has been such a frequent subject of celebrity posts in the past.
The “Little Miss VIP” tee at the top is by Public Library, and I’ve managed to find it on sale, but its a Japanese site, so your mileage may vary. In the gallery there is also a few pics of Avril wearing a “Boys Like Girls” hoodie, they’re a band, so I guess you’d only buy that if you liked the band. There’s also two fairly non-descript grey hoodies with little stars on (one hoodie with red stars, the other with blue), which I doubt is anything really special and similar items can be found in a lot of high street shops, a t-shirt that I can’t quite make out the wording on, and lastly there is a black and white hoodie from her own clothing line, Abbey Dawn.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my sojourn into the world of celebrity blogging with a HYA slant, I enjoyed doing something a little bit different. Hopefully these posts will attract a whole new slew of readers who find the site through these celebrity posts, and then hopefully stick around for a little while and end up learning more about the wonderful world of independent clothing that is covered (… I still love that pun) on a daily basis here on Hide Your Arms.

Its a little sad that on my day of celebritees I’ve been able to find so few of the tees for you guys to buy if you so wished, but this one I definitely know the source of. This t-shirt, being oh-so kindly modeled by Hayden Panettiere, says “This Girl’s A Genius”, and is available from Local Celebrity.

Yeah, I bet you didn’t think that it looked anything like a chandelier from the 70s until you read the title, and it kinda doesn’t, but at the same time… it kinda does.
I think this is a really cool tee, which is why, once again, its disappointing that I can’t find a place for you guys to buy it, but where would you really start googling that kind of a design?

I know I shouldn’t, I really know, that but I do think there is something about the micro-celebrity of The Hills ‘stars’ Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag that is somewhat intriguing. They’re two people who have gained their fame, as I understand it, by pretending to be themselves on TV, and have then furthered that fame by turning up to events and staged photo opportunities. Incredible.
Also incredible. The director of the photoshoot that thought it was a great idea for Spencer and Heidi to show their support for Sarah Palin and John McCain by carrying around beer and a shotgun (what great role models for kids!). Whilst the very thought of Sarah Palin as Vice President scares the hell out of me, I must admit that Spencer’s “Palin for VP: God, Guns & Glory” tee is actually one of the best designed that I’ve seen supporting the Republican cause, which isn’t saying much to be perfectly honest.

You know what’s crazy about music nowadays, Katy Perry has had one popular song (right?), and now she’s this huge star that everyone recognises and knows about, but its not like a one-hit wonder kind of fame, she seems to be absolutely everywhere, and not in a novelty way, which is what you’d expect for someone singing a song about lipstick lesbianism. Still, its a fun song, her blog is powered by Tumblr (so she must be cool), and she wears cool tees in photoshoots, so I’m happy.
