Here’s the thing, if Kim Kardashian wears a t-shirt that says “this is not a photo opportunity” in big bold letters, surely she’s only wearing it because she knows (or her publicist has organised) that the paparazzi are going to see her and take pictures of the supposed non-photo opportunity. I guess that in a way she’s right, a woman going shopping isn’t really a photo op, but making a fuss about how you don’t want to be made a fuss of doesn’t seem like sound logic to me.

Or perhaps, just perhaps, Kim is a big Banksy fan?

I guess that chucking what appears to be a naked Kate Moss onto a t-shirt is a sure fire way to get some interest in your product, but to be fair to Veece, they’ve actually made something really innovative with this tee, with a surprisingly effective print to create the curtain effect. Hurrah for optical illusions!They’ve slapped their logo on the back of the tee though… so I’m taking off points!

Isn’t it kind of sad that a 16 year-old girl can confirm that she’s engaged simply by wearing a t-shirt because she knows that the paparazzi will be following her every move? I guess I’m just as bad for reposting it, but my interest was with the tee being used to push a story, not with the latest dramatic twist in the Spears family saga.

I’ve got no idea where you can buy it, and frankly, I don’t want to know.

Well, apparently, they’re both going to have their own celebrity clothing lines. Yep, because if there’s anyone that I’d like to design my clothes, its a guy that wears an orange sheet!

Fashionista blog reports that street fashion brand Tonic will launch a personally-branded t-shirt line with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, with proceeds benefiting charities of his choosing.

I’m a little bit skeptical about this story to say the least, I first came across it via Boing Boing (where the above quote comes from), who said that Fashionista were reporting it, but the BB link lead to a dead end, and I can’t find a trace of it on the Fashionista site, and no one else seems to have reported it on Google News (obviously there are rather more pressing issues in Tibet for him to be concerned with at the moment which might be affecting my searches). I’m not saying its untrue since it doesn’t seem that crazy for him to have some tees designed (presumably for him, not by him) with a large chunk of the sales going to charities selected by his holiness, but it does seem like the kind of thing that would have more than one source.

Well, I guess now we definitely know who the Democratic nominee is going to be, people who were on the fence before will have surely been swung to the Obama camp now that they know Kim Kardashian, a woman who is famous for very little reason (no ‘two big reasons’ jokes in the comments please), has officially come out in support of Barack Obama.

I’ve googled around and can’t find the specific tee, which is a pity because I like the style and as you are well aware I practically live for gold print on tees, but if you’re after something a bit more artistically minded No Star Clothing offer a tee with the same message but with an image of Obama on it.

I know that a lot of people find their way to HYA by searching for what celebrities wear, even though celebrity-based posts account for less than 1% of all the posts written, so I’m sure that quite a lot of people will be interested in Spoiled Brat. SB is a site that sources clothing that celebrities have been spotted wearing, and lets you buy them, simple as that. You can even search through the clothing by celebrity; lets say you’re a fan of Lindsay Lohan’s style, you can just click on her page and a selection of items she’s been seen wearing pops up. For some of the celebrities the selection is rather lacking, just one item for Avril Lavigne and Scarlett Johansson, but then for someone like Paris Hilton there’s three pages of items. It’s not just for women either, men can get in on the action too, admit it dudes, you want to look like David Beckham. Since its a British site there is obviously a skew towards British celebrities, so you Americans might be a bit confused as to who some of the people are, and the prices are definitely British too (=high).

I’m going to make you work for this, instead of posting all the pics here and making it easy, I’m going to do the right thing and just link to the slideshow (that favourite inflater of pageviews of the mainstream media) provided by Entertainment Weekly of 15 famous people, most of which are actually famous which is somewhat of a rarity these days, wearing their favourite t-shirts. If you want to know which celebs are in the slideshow, I’ve listed them all in the tags to this post, I picked Tina Fey for the post pic over the others because I utterly love 30 Rock… and because I think shes kinda hot…

I wouldn’t know where to start in trying to find these tees for purchase, but hey, it’s Friday, have some fun with it!

Readers from back in the early days know I’m a big fan of The O.C., so when Toby from PDC dropped me a line to show off some pictures of Mischa ‘hey, isn’t she kind of English?’ Barton throwing some admiring glances towards their designs at the Sundance Film Festival, I couldn’t help but let you guys check her out too, even if Marissa Cooper was pretty much my least favourite character. Also, did you know she was in Notting Hill? As a child, playing a child actor, I guess that must have really stretched her talents!*I forgot to mention that for a short period only, if you buy one tee from their store they will pick out a second one and send it too you for free!*

If there was ever two things that I wouldn’t put together, it’s innocent-looking Mandy Moore and mixed martial arts fighting. But I guess you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, because here she is, wearing a UFC hoodie.My cyber-sleuthing skills have made me wonder though. She’s wearing what I believe is the mens version of that hoodie since the official UFC store doesn’t carry that design for women, so maybe she’s doing that typical girlie thing of wearing her boyfriend’s clothes. I’m just presuming she has a boyfriend, because, well, look at her!
