Post image for Time Won’t Wait – Eerie Devil T-shirt and New Line, I’ve Fallen in Love!

Time Won’t Wait – I don’t know much about you, (not yet anyway), but I couldn’t help but notice this tee from the new line – designed by Gavin McGregor, this tee is creepy and of course that intrigues me, but not only that, the nice contrast plus the eerie composition really pull me in even more. Appropriately titled, Devil, this tee lives amongst a nice selection of other designs from Time Won’t Wait, so go take a peek.

garbage pail kids t-shirt by yes no maybe

I’m pretty sure that as a 26 year old person I should be old enough to remember who/what the Garbage Pail Kids are/were, but to be honest I have no recollection beyond the actual name. Still, that doesn’t stop me from being impressed that Yes No Maybe got John Pound (who did the original Garbage Pail Kids artwork) to create this t-shirt design for them. Like I said, I have no recollection of GPK, but I would assume that this shirt is going to bring out a lot of nostalgia in the over-25 section of the readership.

Snowflake hoodie by Rainy Day Prints

snowflake hoodie

I can’t really think of much more to say about this hoodie other than that it looks nice and I would like to wear it, which should be enough for clothing, but when you’re someone that write about clothing for a living it doesn’t quite cut the mustard.

Take Care by Simplified Clothing

by Andy on July 31, 2009

simplified_clothing_take_care_t-shirt

[If you’re wondering why this post has come up just a few hours after this one for a 20% off coupon at Simplified Clothing, I actually wrote this post about two weeks ago and forgot to publish it, so here it is!]

When I was in Philly, I actually kind of looked forward to doing my laundry down in the depths of my building, there was something about the domesticity of it that made me feel more like I was living in America rather than just on an extended holiday. But, and here’s the thing, whilst I enjoyed it in one way, there was no way that I was going to do more than 1 washing session a week, so I’d load up two machines set them off on cold, and if I owned anything that didn’t get clean on that cycle, well, it was just going to have to wait until next week when I’d give it another go (well, in extreme circumstances I might soak something in the sink, but that was as far as I was willing to go). Basically, I took as little care over my garments as is possible, a situation that probably came from the attitude of “meh, if I ruin it I’m sure someone will send me a new tee at some point.”* Internet, you’ve made me lazy! (but please don’t stop sending tees)

Costiness=$25 Available from Simplified Clothing

*As I was typing that sentence my brother walked in and handed me a new t-shirt, seriously. [well, at the time it happened, but as I said, this post is a couple of weeks old now, so it’s kind of not true now]

I realised that I hadn’t taken a look at Oddica for quite some time, so I popped over to the land of Odd and had this beauty staring me right in the face. Beautiful colourway, beautiful image.

We Robot by Chop Shop

Robot overload! Robot overload!

This is a great idea from the gang over at Chop Shop, a tee with silhouettes of 51 robots from “film, television, books and even one from a classic rock album cover”, which is sure to get a few conversations going where you try and work out how many of them you recognise (me? disappointingly few).

Also, Chop Shop are still running a few coupons on a few of their other tees:

Use “bushed” to get BUSH BRAINS for only $5 plus shipping.

Use “seenfor6” to get AS SEEN ON WWW for only $6 plus shipping.

Use “TENDA” to get NATIONAL DESIGN ASSOCIATION for only $10 plus shipping.

Enjoy!

right_on_good_cause.jpg

I know that some people think that $25 is a lot for a shirt, I don’t because I’m British and our pound laughs at your puny dollar. But I think that even the stingiest Shirt.Woot forum poster couldn’t be annoyed at paying $25 for this tee since 100% of sales is going to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as part of The Quiet Life’s Good Cause t-shirt design competition. I’ll let them explain what exactly that is:

This design is the winner of our online “DESIGN A T-SHIRT FOR A GOOD CAUSE CONTEST” and is the first t-shirt design in our new GOOD CAUSE project. The idea behind GOOD CAUSE is to help raise funds and awareness for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The cost of these shirts, the screen printing cost, and all other costs were donated to us by our vendors so that 100% of the proceeds from the sales of this design could go directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. To find out more about the Cystic Firbrosis Foundation please visit cff.org

It’s a… nice graphic, not exaclty anything spectacular, but I like it because of the simplicity and use of space, in fact, I feel as if it needs this kind of simplicity for the graphic to work, and of course I like the way that the arm goes all the way to the side of the body.

Costiness=$25 Link [thanks, Cool Hunting!]
