Cool new collage tee from FFee Clothing

by Andy on December 10, 2009

FFee have good such a pleasing style, it’s the kind of illustration that I really like to wear and hang on my walls, and those characters are just adorable.

Surrealism by Enso Threads

by Andy on November 18, 2009

It’s funny that I have such a soft spot for Wotto‘s designs, and yet I’m pretty sure I don’t actually own any shirts that he’s created, I should probably dust off my wallet and make a purchase at some point… or I could just wait until a brand gives me one, he’s so prolific that it’s bound to happen at some point.

Apparently 50 silhouettes just wasn’t enough this time around for the Chop Shop team.

King of the Jungle Gym by Made With Awesome

by Andy on November 13, 2009

The fees for this gym are pretty reasonable, just a banana or two a month. Remember to keep off the track from four to five o’clock, that’s when the rhinoceros do their Olympic training.

This might be one of my favourite t-shirts designs I’ve seen in a few months, it’s really well put together and balanced, though perhaps I’d like to see it in a colourway that wasn’t yellow/yellow, so that the print could pop a bit more.

A zombie t-shirt, just in time for November!

by Andy on November 2, 2009

One of the unfortunate issues with me being away was that I missed out on all the fun that comes with posting Halloween-themed tees (and you KNOW I could have written an epic list about them), but this tee from Mediocore Clothing is worth posting at any time of year. I’m not sure if this is still valid (I got the e-mail about this tee a few days ago), but try using the code zombies at the checkout for 15% off, it’s worth a go, right?

Costiness=$20 Available from Mediocore Clothing in silver or white

I know you can’t see the pictures too well from the photoshoot shots, but please trust me when I say that they’re all fine looking tees (design close-ups can be found in the gallery).

They’re €21 each and all available for guys & dolls Allmightys.

At first I thought that this might be a collage of design elements that trun up in lots of shirt designs, but upon closer inspection there’s not a skull amongst the bunch, so I must be wrong. Either way, it’s a cute design.

Battle Royale by Hamburger Disco

by Andy on September 16, 2009

Most of Hamburger Disco’s tees prominently display burgers, and I was going to use that as a platform to discuss how damn good burgers were in America and how disappointing I now find them in the UK, but then I saw the tee above, which is a cool design, with something a little bit special about it:

Just to name a few things on this tee:
– a giraffe with a gas mask, a chicken astronaut, two pieces of toast, a panda pirate, a ghost rockin hamburger disco, a ninja robot, a lucha penguin, a hot girl crying, a heart with it’s own faucet, an owl rockin out, a bank robbing elephant, a sinking sub, a concerned unicorn.

Yes, this tee has everything but a giant squid! Or does it? Fold the shirt from A to B (like a classic MAD fold in) to find out.

This shirt is almost PAST it, sorry

by Andy on September 3, 2009

Remember when I posted about the Springleap competition for P.A.S.T, that Casual Day in South Africa thing?

Well, they announced the winner a few days ago, and whilst there’s no way you’ll be able to buy the tee in time for SA Casual Day (September 5th), you can still get the limited edition tee (only 100 available) in any size. I’d never heard of the designer before (TokyoGoGo), but if this is the quality of their work then I hope that I seem them again, and soon.

Guilty Pleasures by Wotto at Tilteed

by Andy on August 27, 2009

What what? Is that a Wotto? Why yes, yes it is. You’ve got about 18 hours to pick up this collage print at the early price of $12 before it goes up to $18, which is still a pretty good deal (I’ve got a couple of Tilteed tees and I’m impressed by the quality of the in-house printing). Here’s a few words from wotto about the design.

Most people know I have developed a reputation for doodle shirts. I have had quite a few printed and a lot of people ask for them. Well with this design I wanted to do a darker doodle. I actually did three designs based around the same dark idea, (I seem to work in sets for some reason). Anyway, I was working with the idea of death and how if comes to us all. So why not enjoy a guilty pleasure or two before we depart?

202 Star Wars T-Shirts [Lists]

by Andy on July 16, 2009

I think that you’d be pretty hard pressed to find a series of movies that have gained as much of a following as Star Wars, and as you’d expect that has resulted in a huge amount of t-shirts being produced that reference the films in one way or another. So, being HYA, I thought that I’d better make an unnecessarily large list of them. As always, the t-shirts are not ranked, the numbers are merely there as an illustration so that we all know which is which, so being #1 or #202 means nothing. Some of these tees will be pretty recognisable as they’ve been featured on HYA before, and some were also in the 101 Robots List from last month, but if you know of any I haven’t featured then please let me know in the comments. The list has also been split up into pages to ensure swift loading times (my server may probably wouldn’t like people loading 202 pictures at a time).

As you would expect these lists take quite a long time (this one took about 30 hours, seriously), so if you deem it worthy, it would be fantastic if you could promote this article in any way. Twitter, Delicious, StumbleUpon, Digg, your own blog, carve the URL onto a tree, anything!

Just as I started to write this post a cover of Kanye’s ‘Love Lockdown’ started playing, serendipilicious!

This tee reminds me quite a lot of the Chop Shop ‘we’ series, y’know, lots of famous characters silhouetted into a shape. I’m not saying this is a rip, just something I noticed. I like their use of foil print for the heart too, it does a lot for the design as a whole.

zwart by wotto for ktoen

by Andy on July 13, 2009

Wow, that is a low percentage of actual words in a title.

As you can probably tell, ktoen isn’t an English company, they’re actually Dutch, and unfortunately for (most of) us despite seemingly everyone in Holland speaking perfect English their site appears to only be available in their native tongue. I’m sure you’d be able to work out how to navigate the checkout though if you really wanted to get your on yet another top-notch tee from Wotto.

I think that the suspenders are a bit unnecessary in this product picture since they obscure the tee a bit, but it doesn’t stop this tee looking damn cool.

Shinobi Spirit – I like ‘em!

by Andy on January 23, 2009

I got an e-mail about a week ago from someone called Garret that said:

I ran across this site, thought it might be of interest to you:

And you know what, Garret was right, it was of interest to me, because Shinobi Spirit have some pretty cool designs. I think they’re a Spanish brand, who’re putting loads of ridiculously cute characters (like the one in their logo above) onto their tees in a collage. They look good and at €12 a pop (some of the women’s tees are just €9) they good value too.

Gifts from Beautiful/Decay

by Andy on December 29, 2008

I’m fairly used to receiving tees from people, but a magazine is a bit more unusual, and it was really nice to be sent a copy of Beautiful/Decay, as the only way I can usually get a copy is to spend a couple of hours driving to my favourite shop in Manchester. I really like the collage look on this tee, and the ‘eat more’ theme certainly lends itself to the festive season. One thing I’d note, as this isn’t a real review, is that this tee is an XXL but fits like a fairly slim XL, so you’re going to need to carefully check out the size chart if you’ve never made a purchase from B/D before.

Clusterf**k by Draw Limited

by Andy on December 9, 2008

Our friends over at Pop Culture Tees (and their Space Invaders background) found this tee which I think its fair to say is not only a clusterf**k but cluster-awesome!

Oh, and despite the name, I don’t think that there are any adult goings on on the tee, but don’t quote me on that.
