For me, this result is a bit of a surprise. Let’s be quite clear, I like csj89′s work, but I didn’t think it was the strongest design in the final four (and I would have happily swapped it for some of the designs that made it through to the top 10), but clearly all of his promotional efforts (including
creating a site dedicated to the design) paid off and I’m sure he’ll be enjoying that $10,000 prize.
The winning shirt (along with the other final four designs) are in the Design by Humans shop now.

Is it me or does the voting process for this Design By Humans competition seem to have started when time began, in fact, I’m pretty sure that Cleopatra put an entry in at some point. Still, there’s just one more week to go, what I find interesting about the final quartet of hopeful entrants is that despite there being a “
DBH style” that is well-formed in my head, all of these designs are very different, they’re all good in their own ways, though I feel that some work better as artwork than tees, but it’s nice to see such a level of diversity in the competition.

For no particular reason, I realised today that I almost never mention individual tees from Design By Humans here on HYA, even though I would call myself a fan of
DBH. With that in mind I looked through the back catalogue and found this sssssweet design, which of course it would be since it was designed by csj89 (with a little help from epidemic!… who I’ve never heard of before), who definitely knows how to make a good tee.

Cute overload! Cute overload!
Congrats to Go Ape on their 2nd birthday. Next week, for a month, Josh (Mr. Go Ape) is going to China (lucky him!), but he is leaving shipping duties in the presumably capable hands of his girlfriend, Caren, so hopefully you won’t be able to notice a difference in service.
