A blog about hoodies & t-shirts, with news from the independent clothing world

Tee and Toast, the purveyors of cute and funny tees from Northern Ireland, had their second birthday recently, and in celebration they’re offering a 10% off discount code to everyone who places an order between now and September 6th (this Saturday). All you have to do to qualify for the discount is to enter 2WOOHOO on the basket page (then click ‘apply’) before checking out your order.

Tee and Toast

Rian Hughes, who is so well known in the UK that even I’ve heard of him (and I live in the middle of nowhere), has launched a couple of tee designs through his company, Device.

To be completely honest, the tees don’t actually excite me all that much, the prints look a bit small for my liking, and I don’t really understand the concept behind ‘Good not God’ (beyond it being for atheists), though I do think that the illustration for Chic Geek is pretty cute. The graphic novels listed underneath the tees on the page look awesome though, I think I might need to look into this Rian Hughes fellow a little more.

I really wish I could tell you where this tee came from since its just sooooo cute, but I don’t even know where I’d start, does anyone recognise the artist? I’m sure I’ve seen this style somewhere else before.

Photo credit goes to James Cann, who has all rights reserved on the pic, but hopefully understands that people need to see a talking hot dog wearing a cowboy hat.

*In the comments Andre (of Huzzah Goods fame) tells us that the tee is by Loyal Army, and whilst I can’t find this exact tee in their shop, I have found a French/Mexican one that has a pack of French fries saying “Bonjour” and a taco saying “hola”.

Cute overload! Cute overload!

Congrats to Go Ape on their 2nd birthday. Next week, for a month, Josh (Mr. Go Ape) is going to China (lucky him!), but he is leaving shipping duties in the presumably capable hands of his girlfriend, Caren, so hopefully you won’t be able to notice a difference in service.

qt-pi t-shirt for geek girls at geek bouteek
Here’s my theory on geek t-shirts for girls. The design is pretty irrelevant, simply wearing one will ensure that hordes of geeky guys will flock around the wearer and ensure that they will have someone to spend quiet nights at 127.0.0.1 with playing World of Warcraft until the day they die, presumably of an electric shock after an incident where they “totally knew what they were doing”.

I ain’t raggin’ on this design though, it’s actually pretty ummm… cute?
