A blog about hoodies & t-shirts

cbr_412w-3-426x640 Deerhunter hoodie by Coardboard Robot at 80s Purple

Whilst we’re browsing the 80s Purple store, I thought I’d point you towards this hoodie. If you’re a really old school reader of HYA then you might remember me posting this hoodie in 2006 and 2007. The posts still get a surprisingly large amount of hits (usually from spammers), but its no longer on sale at the buy links on the old posts, so I thought I’d post this new link as 80s Purple still have stock, and because its still a pretty cool hoodie, the bullet on the zipper is a great touch. Oh, and its fake fur, in case you were wondering. I know that celebritee day has been and gone, but in the gallery there is a picture of Jessica Alba wearing this hoodie, which is, y’know, a thing.

header_2 Plan Your Escape by Sehubabe & Girls in Hawaii [Rumplo Rocks]

As we’ve established in the past, I am not cool, so its totally fine that I’ve never heard of Belgian indie pop band Girls in Hawaii, and whilst I still haven’t checked on their music, I do like what they’ve helped to do to this t-shirt.

I’d actually been sitting on this tee for more than a week, just saving it for when I didn’t have any cool ones left in my bookmarks, when I noticed that its only on sale until April 25th, so you’ve got just 3 days to put an order in if you want one. This tee by Lisa Corbett represents a new release schedule for Tasty tees, instead of the traditional, we print, we put on sale, you buy, when they’re bought they’re gone model, they’re going to be making tees available to be pre-ordered for a few weeks, and if you miss the pre-order you don’t get to buy one, simple as that, all tees will be limited edition (and numbered to that effect). There will be a new design every couple of months, so I think we can expect the quality level to be kept pretty high since when you’re putting out about six designs a year, you’re going to want all killer and no filler (as some Canadian poets might put it).

Why hello my dear

img.php

Today’s item is very much out of the ordinary, and I applaud that whole-heartedly, I’m not going to post something just because it’s different, but there is something unique about this piece so I feel it deserves an airing on my corner of webspace.

Cardboard Robot has been rather bold and added fur to a hoody, not a jacket, it looks like a regular cotton zip-up hoody but then they go an confuse me by adding fur (faux, probably, hopefully?).

The design on the front is is realy nice too, spanning quite a lot of the front but still being quite understated.

I’ve just noticed something esle, is that a rifle bullet on the zipper, if it is then golly-gosh, that’s an excellent item of clothing. Also, it’s for girls, see, I’m trying to get the balance back.
