This video is the best part of a year old now, but I’m sure that it will still be of interest to people looking to see how an accomplished designer like Derek Deal gets his work done. If you’d like some words to go with the video, and a bit of a walkthrough written by Derek, check out this post on How To Start A Clothing Company.

Underneath the TV in my office where I’m writing this blog post there is a NES, an original one, it must be about 20 years old and plays just like the day my parents bought it, how’s that for build quality?
To be honest I don’t play on it much/at all, I only got it out because I was going to put some games on eBay, but they just have too much charm for me to part with them, I’m not really into retro games, but I do have a certain amount of nostalgia for that era, and I think that has something to do with why I like this shirt from Doctor Hazmat. If I remember correctly this shirt (designed by Derek Deal) is an homage of the original Mario game that launched with the NES, and mighty fine it looks too.

This Is Prestigious just released their latest line, and damn it looks good. I guess that if you were to look at the text and think about it, you’d realise that the subject matter is kinda depressing (especially since one of the designs shows blood coming out of someone’s eyes), but I’m having a good day so I’m just going to enjoy the colorways.

If you were running a clothing line that sells designs that are based around zombies, gore, skulls, and pretty much everything else that the
Emptees regulars like, when would you release your latest collection?
Halloween of course! Well, slightly before Halloween I guess, since people might actually want to wear this stuff on Halloween, which I’d assume is exactly why Electric Zombie latest range of designs came staggering slowly towards us calling out for brains a couple of days ago.
As well as the totally-terrifying-tees, there are also a couple of hoodies in the range, a fresh belt design, and also a poster package featuring artists Derek Deal, Horsebites, Kyle Crawford (Mr. Electric Zombie), Chris Rushing, and Chad Lenjer.

I can’t decide whether I’d actually wear this tee, I’m not that into wearing tees with illustrated puke on them, but I must admit that it is a beast of a design. It’s a collaboration between
Horsebites Design,
Derek Deal and
Team Doom, a group who, I’m sure you’ll agree, all have rather respectable design chops.

On account of this 6 colour t-shirt being a bit of a beast to print up,
Mustache and Friends have taken the unusual (for them) approach of putting it up for pre-order. If you place an order for it now you’ll receive $5 off the regular price, and a free 4-button pack, and free shipping in the US, and a soothing back massage from a team of squirrels (which item in this list isn’t true? The answer might surprise you).Costiness=$20
