Use the coupon code DBHfreedom to get 30% off everything in store at DBH (not just the collective artists, I’m using the image above to show that our very own Mr. Four Fingers are now part of the collective), which amounts to more than 1500 graphic tees, so if you can’t find something that you like in there, well… you must have exceptionally high standards. The code will be live until May 28th, presumably midnight PST. DBH won’t be announcing this code until tomorrow on their site but it is live now (or at least very soon) so you can get a jump start on the hordes.

In November of 2007 this outstanding design “Mine Shaft 4 – Gold Found” was originally printed by Design By Humans and it has been Sold Out for years. Today on the 27th day of February 2013 Design By Humans has brought this classic back as a Limited Edition tee.

This time printed with metallic inks on a heather charcoal blank. Amazingly soft, unique and cool style. Graphic elements collide and make for a graphic designers dream tee. Check out the cool hidden skeleton details and add this classic tee to your wardrobe.

The shirt is about a tragic even of a Gold Miner that finally found his gold but was not able to get out of the mine due to a cave in that buried him alive. The 4 represents the number of the mine shaft and the X represents that the mine shaft was closed due to the horrific events. The gold nugget near the skeleton was the one piece of treasure that this miner had risked his life for and lost. Hidden things in the design – Skeleton, a helmet, broken shovel, pick hammer, 3 sticks of dynamite, the number 13, and the gold nugget.

Andy: This submission was sent in after 10pm yesterday, so there was no chance that I was going to be able to post it on the day (although I’d put it in the daily roundup anyway). Fortunately it is still available at DBH, but at $20 instead of the first-day price of $15.

Design By Hümans is having a HUGE sale for Memorial Day and it lasts an entire week! Use discount code DBHMEM30 for 30% off your entire order placed before June 1st. This is the biggest discount I’ve seen them offer recently, so I would definitely take advantage of it. Especially with all the awesome new prints being released.

Post image for Robots and Koalas and Lightning, oh my!

DBH has been putting out some great prints recently. Check them out!

Scribblebolt is a second win for Tyler Bramer from Wisconsin.

Marsupial Madness was SOTD number six for Mr. Jonah Block, otherwise known as biotwist from New Jersey.

Robot Overload is a great all over print from the always awesome Wotto. I like the guys version as a nice summer tee. definitely picking that up in my next order.

Shark with pixelated teeth!

by Matt on April 28, 2012

Post image for Shark with pixelated teeth!

This was one of the first DBH shirts I ever bought and it definitely helped me fall in love with Design By Hümans. First printed on black for it’s Shirt of the Day win in September 2008, it is now back in it’s original form where it should be. Over the past 3 1/2 years, it’s been reprinted on navy, aqua, and silver
(for kids), but none of them look nearly as good as the original. The design really pops right off the black shirt, as if the shark is coming to bite you with his pixelated teeth.

Available for $20 at Design By Hümans. I definitely recommend picking this up as it probably won’t last long. And who knows what color they’ll print it on next…

Calavera III by Wotto at Design By Hümans

by Matt on April 25, 2012

Post image for Calavera III by Wotto at Design By Hümans

Wotto + Day of the Dead = awesome

I know first hand, cause I wear his beautiful artwork on a daily basis. In the past 15 months, I have been a part of two restaurant openings, both of which are Mexican and Day of the Dead themed. When I got hired to open the first one, Cantina Feliz, I was wearing wotto’s “Dead Head” hoodie from Tilteed and the owners asked me, “Did you wear that on purpose?” I hesitated, said no, then yes. Long story short, I brought on Wotto to design two staff t-shirts for each restaurant which have now become conversation pieces at both locations. La Calaca Feliz, the newer of the two, has been doing very well since it’s opening in January 2012. If you live around Philly and like Mexican, I definitely recommend checking them out. And if you come in, ask for me :)

But what I really wanted to mention was Wotto’s shirt of the day at Design By Hümans. “Calvavera”, which means skull in Spanish, is Mr. Watkins 12th win, putting him up there with the most printed designers at DBH. His doodle style and the Mexican Dia De Los Muertos art go perfect together. This print looks great on the charcoal heather DBH premium blend, as well as the cute blonde model pictured above. (wotto – hook me up!) Only $15 if you buy it today and well worth it.

Post image for Limited Edition at Design By Hümans – “Dye Hard” by Jublin

Friday brought us another Limited Edition DBH print, this time they chose Jublin’s “Dye Hard”. Originally printed on turquoise for guys and girls, you can now wear this awesome design in some new colors. To quote the artist himself, “boyfriends and girlfriends, together you can be watermelons.” Now available on Hot Pink for girls and Kelly Green for guys, this limited edition shirt is still only $15 for the rest of the weekend. And remember that it’s truly limited…the Friday releases are only printed once!

Journey at Design By Hümans

by Matt on April 10, 2012

Post image for Journey at Design By Hümans

Today’s Shirt of the Day at Design By Hümans combines two of my favorite things (in life and on tees), cityscapes and trees. The intricate workings of the busy city stem up from a firmly rooted tree trunk. Simple and complex while beautiful, all at the same time. The only criticism I have is that he could have left out the Statue of Liberty, making the city more general/universal, but I still love this design. Congrats to Dandingeroz for his 8th DBH win. I will definitely be picking this up in my next order.

Post image for Collisiontheory’s 16th print at Design By Hümans – Cosmic Garden

Known for his cosmic and surreal designs, “Cosmic Garden” fits right into AJ Dimarucot’s (otherwise known as Collisiontheory) style. This is technically his 17th DBH print, cause “Twilight Rain” was recently reprinted on black for a Friday limited edition shirt (which looks great by the way), but it’s his 16th win. Now that I think about it though, “Black Hole Sun” was printed on different colors before they started doing the Friday limited edition prints…so do those previous ones count? Anyway, according to Wotto‘s post in the DBH forums, nicebleed holds the record as most printed at Design By Hümans with 16.5 prints. I forget where the half came from, but I think it’s somewhere in that thread. Point being, this brings Collisiontheory quite close to being THE top most printed artist at DBH.

Pick up his newest print for only $15 for the next 24 hours at Design By Hümans. I love his style and use of reality in dreamlike ways.

A slightly abstract Mario design at Shirt Punch, very wearable though.

The Yetee have a Mega Man x Evil Dead/Army of Darkenss t-shirt.

Shirt Punch put Darth Vader on a playing card and hot damn it looks good.

Threadbird think that now is a great time for store owners to restock their inventory for the New Year, and are offering 35c off per garment. Not a massive amount, but I’m sure no one would say know to a $35 saving on 100 tees.

80s movies t-shirt

Sorry about the intermittent service on HYA recently, our wireless router failed last week, I ordered another on rush delivery from Amazon and when it arrived it wouldn’t work, and our backup router is quite old and a little flakey which doesn’t help things. There is another router on the way from Amazon though, so hopefully all of this will be sorted out before I go on my traditional Christmas break.

Wow, there really were a lot of iconic movies released in 1985, cool shirt from TeeFury.

Harry Potter shirt at Qwertee.

ghostbusters t-shirt

My internet connection has been misbehaving recently so don’t be surprised if there are less updates on HYA over the next few days.

I think that the pixelation might be my favourite part of this Ghostbusters shirt at TeeFury.

Why would you get a breakfast buffet at night? Or does the text at the bottom mean that they serve breakfast, a buffet at lunch, and then table service in the evening? I can’t help but feel I’m focusing on the wrong aspect of this RIPT shirt.

The Yetee have dropped a mashup shirt for fans of Pokemon and the Evil Dead.

TeeMinus24 are trying to keep everyone happy.

How have I not seen this Star Trek concept before? 24tee

I really like this collage shirt from Loviu.

I think I remember a not-particularly-memorable fighting game where you did climb a totem pole as to cleared the levels, anyone? Cool Street Fighter design from Bamboota at Shirt Punch, and I’m glad they’re going with that big print otherwise the design would have been dwarfed by the rest of the shirt.

Another nice but hard to describe shirt from DBH.

I think this shirt on BustedTees Deal of the Day for $9 makes a lot of sense at Christmas, since it’s the time of year when your parents force you to stop playing Kinect and dust off board games instead. Busted Tees have also extended their sale, use the coupon code CHEAPTEES to get your shirts for $12.99 or less.

Here’s a first for me from Tee Mashups, a Domino’s x Star Wars mashup, well, somebody had to do it, I guess.

Internal Error is the £10 festivitee at origin68.

eternal sunshine of the spotless mind t-shirt

Sorry that the news is a bit late today, I couldn’t get home from my girlfriend’s house this morning due to local flooding, I was in puddles of water over the lights on my car at one point, but there was no getting through.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen an Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind t-shirt before, I’ve also haven’t seen the film, this shirt is one of those things fixed, thanks to TeeFury.

I recognised the Hunter S. Thompson side of this RIPT design, but had to check the comments to know that the rest of it was about Pokemon.

Usually I’m fairly apathetic about the designs at Stupidhurts.us, but I really like this lion design.

teefury grab bag

Usually I think that mystery tees/grab bags are a bit of a waste of time, but in this instance I’m willing to be less cynical and accept that it’s a great way to pick up some shirts for friends & family at Christmas, pick up a couple of shirts in each size (you can order up to 12 per size) and if something turns up you like keep it for yourself, if not give it to a family member!

I really, really like this Hokkusai-based t-shirt design at RIPT today, absolutely fantastic.

Hope everyone had a good weekend, I did, during my snowboarding lesson at the dry slope it started to snow!

I can’t be the only person that feels kind of scared when this guy comes on screen during Boardwalk Empire, right? Definitely some fine acting going on there. TeeFury.

RIPT have a shirt that I’m sure will not anger any Star Wars or Star Trek fans.

Qwertee have dropped a Shining/Joker shirt for Jack Nicholson fans.
