A new tee from Spitefuls!

by Andy on October 22, 2010

cycling dinosaur t-shirt

I would imagine that quite a large proportion of HYA readers don’t know about Spitefuls, but they were actually one of the brands that really helped me on my way to thinking “hey, this t-shirt stuff is cool, and could be a job” because Marla (from Spitefuls) was one of the first people to take a chance on advertising with me way back in 2006 when this blog was mighty young. Anyway, sh’es got a new shirt out, and I think it’s rather charming and whimsical, which is exactly what I need on a Friday.

Tyrannosaurus Rockstar by Seventh.Ink

by Andy on November 17, 2009

I’m really on the fence about whether I actually like this tee, the design is clearly well done, and I like the colour palette that Seventh.Ink are using, but I’m just not sure if the stereotypical image of a T-Rex with it’s mouth open looking angry, but actually just singing is really all that funny. Still, just because it isn’t for me doesn’t mean you should hate it (unless I’m leading a cult now, am I?), so it’s on pre-order for a few more hours (the pre-sale has actually been running for a week), and then goes on regular sale tomorrow (Nov. 18th), I didn’t realise that it was actually a bit cheaper during the presale otherwise I would have mentioned this earlier, my apologies.. It’s limited to 100 pieces so if you want it you may want to pick it up fairly swiftly.

Costiness=$15 ($17.99 tomorrow and beyond) Available for men, and women from Seventh.Ink

I’m not totally floored by the design on this tee, but it does look like something that would get a good reaction when being worn and it certainly is funny. Doubletake get props for the cool photoshoot too.

The tee is currently on sale for $10, which is pretty decent to start with, but in what seems to be a trend that I have no intention of stopping, HYA has an exclusive coupon code to get 15% off your order, making this American Apparel tee a piffling (yes, piffling!) $8.50. Input the very logical code of HYA15 at the checkout to receive the discount.

Costiness=$10 (y’know, kinda) Available from Doubletake Clothing

coexistence

‘Facts’ and ‘evidence’ be damned, humans and dinosaurs lived on Earth together, and in harmony no less (except for the T-Rex, he was always pissed off because he had all those teeth and no toothbrush).

T-Rex’s Busy Day by Dinosaur Comics

by Andy on March 4, 2009

I could never really get into Dinosaur Comics, I’ve tried a couple of times but it just doesn’t quite work for me, I guess that you need to read it for a long time before you start getting all the long-running jokes, and I think that I already spend enough time reading stuff on the internet. However, this, this I like.

Say Hello to Define Breed

by Andy on December 13, 2008

I don’t really know what to say about this range of sewatshirts from Define Breed, I quite like them, but I have utterly no clue why.

It’s very unusual to see that Define Breed have made a range which only has sweatshirts in it, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.
