Daily t-shirt news for May 1st

metroid t-shirt teefury

Sorry about the level of disruption to the site at the moment, I’m acting as something of a nightwatchman on a building site for my other job, which does change my schedule around quite a lot as you’d imagine. The other bloggers will hopefully be picking up the slack and I see that Matt & Leah have already posted a couple of great articles.

Metroid gets some attention in the TeeFury shirt above.

Prune juice has never appealed to me, but apparently it appeals to Shirt.Woot.

Four new shirts from DPCTED

by Andy on November 7, 2011

pop punk isn't dead t-shirt

I like the style that DPCTED have got going on, bold phrases saying chubby people are A-OK, but sweet Jesus I wish that they would have put the apostrophes in on these designs. I don’t feel like I’m being too much of a grammar Nazi by asking that something should be spelled correctly. Also, I think that the designs would work better without their URL at the bottom of the screen, but I understand that they feel the need to get their name out there in that way.

There had been quite a lot of talk in the past about DPCTED not sending out orders and having generally poor customer service. I think that was mostly down to the original owner being overwhelmed by orders and then selling the brand, in the transition phase things seem to have gotten a little messy. Hopefully all that is behind them now and that can move onto the important business of pushing the rotund agenda.

All the shirts are $23.95, available now, and you can get 10% off with the coupon code HYA10.

john hughes movies t-shirt

I feel pretty lucky that I grew up at a time when it was possible to watch John Hughes movies and just about be in the age group that they were aimed at, I don’t think that there are any movies for teens nowadays that comes close to being as good.

Costiness=$22 Buy it at DPCTED (I love it whenever I see their ad come up on HYA)

“These trendy tees will make a statement wherever you go—literally.
Artist Scott Hutcheson is the garment god behind the witty and wearable DPCTED Apparel line. This clever clothing line is comprised of a collection of comfortable t-shirts, all which boast minimal, but very memorable, designs. Although Hutcheson only uses two colors on each of his shirts, the witty words color the clothing with cleverness.
Hutcheson’s tees speak for themselves and each sports bold statements. These clothing captions are clever, humorous and charming. Too afraid to tell that preciously pudgy postman how you really feel? Simply pull on the DPCTED Apparel “I Heart Chubby Guys” tee and he’s “guaran-tee’d” to take the hint.
Scott Hutcheson’s DPCTED Apparel t-shirt line is laughable and lovely; this clever clothing makes wit wearable and washable.”
