Nicky Hilton goes Vogue

nickyhiltonvoguet-shirt-480x629 Nicky Hilton goes Vogue

Wondering why there are so many celebrity posts on HYA today? Look here for an explanation.

I like Nicky Hilton, she usually wears cool clothes, she doesn’t get in as much trouble as her sister, and she actually seems to have a job (a clothing line?). Even though its pretty simple, I think this this tee might be one of my favourites of the day so far.

Ahhh, there’s no better way to start your day than with a supermodel wearing a t-shirt with a smiley face on it. I’d bet that if I were draped all over her then I’d probably have a smiley face too.

If you want one then google is your friend, my friend.

Holy 80s Batman!Seriously, have you ever seen a tee design that wasn’t made in the 80s that looked more 80s than this? I do have a little knit to pick though, the eye on the left (as we look at it) does seem to be a bit too far on the left, although I guess there could be a case of model boob distortion changing the way that the design appears.

Smile Big Hoodie by Touma @ eno

I’ve clearly gone a bit Asian with today’s product picks, first a tee from Hong Kong, and now a hoodie from a store in mainland China. This hoodie totally reminds me of the infamous Shark hoodie by A Bathing Ape, except happy rather than angry, and not a shark… so basically the only connection is that these two hoodies have a zip which goes all the way over your face, and a printed face on it. Meh, that’s still a connection!

Of Horror I by Akumu Ink

So, ever wanted to wear a horror movie poster on your chest?

Admittedly, this design doesn’t commit seppuku (italicised to make me feel smart) by going the whole hog and putting in words and other movie promo staples, but the image really reminded me of the style of horror movie posters. I’m annoyed at myself for not coming up with a decent description of this tee, because it is quite clearly amazing, but I refuse to go down that line of ‘this tee is so good I don’t need to write about it’ since that’s just lazy blogging. Luckily, writing about my inability to articulate myself counts as writing in my book, so this post is done baby!

Tanks For the Memories

Thermalbrn

I was just checking out El Mercado today, and I saw this cool top by Tank Theory.

It looks like pretty thin material, so it would probably suit going over a tee for those times when it’s not that cold, but a bit too hot to be wearing a full on sweater.

The face on the shoulder is screen printed on and looks fairly anguished, but still very interesting, and you could say clever stuff at parties like “yeah, I’ve always been a shoulder to cry on!” But pick your moment because you can only use a line like that once.

Costiness=$30 (people like me rejoice, they’ve sold out of most of the smaller sizes) URL for the el Mercado page here.
