Maybe it’s getting to the time where I re-write a new epic Star Wars list, there have been an awful lot of shirts released in the past two years since the list list.

When you combine two excellent things like Wotto and Funkrush there was pretty much no way that this design could go wrong.

A couple of nice tees from Funkrush

Post image for A couple of nice tees from Funkrush

If you can trust anyone to put out consistently good designs, it’s Funkrush, and these two are no exception. I like they they don’t confine themselves to a specific design style, they seem happy to bound from one genre to the next, using many different types of artist whilst still retaining a good sense of brand.

Like Heroes? Like t-shirts? Like hot models?

by Andy on January 14, 2010

I liked Heroes during the first and second season, but the third got a bit too much for me (and I’m pretty sure it conflicted with something else on TV when I was in America) so I lost track and eventually gave up watching, which is the inherent problem with these highly involved shows when you don’t have a DVR.

However, I may have lost track of the show, but I still ‘get’ these tees, the style is a little bit of a departure from the usual Funkrush offerings, but I really like the style, especially, the Sylar’s Clock shop one. They’re very wearable, and not too geeky, which is an area that tees like this can easily fall into… and yes, Funkrush do know how to pick their models, don’t they?

101 Robot T-Shirts [Lists]

by Andy on June 19, 2009

100robottees1

With the release of what is almost certain to be the greatest movie of all time today in the UK and across the world over the next week, I thought it would be an excellent opportunity for me to hunt down some robot t-shirts, especially as the previous robot-themed lists have are two of Hide Your Arm’s most popular articles to date. I must admit that I was a total child for the first Transformers live-action movie, even though I realise that in many, many ways it is utterly terrible, but I still smiled throughout the whole thing because it was goddamn awesome. Robots, fighting, and Megan Fox, what more could I possibly want? I’m pretty sure that you could rob my house whilst that film is on TV and I’d only realise you were doing it once you unplugged the Blu-Ray player. I guess you could say I’m a little excited about Revenge of the Fallen being released, which is why I went a little robot crazy and compiled this huge robot tee loving list. Enjoy!

This post took around 15 hours to compile, if you could take a few seconds to tweet about the post, stumble it, bookmark it on delicious, digg it, possibly even mention it in a blog post, I would be incredibly grateful, not only because it would send more visitors to my site, but also because it would help to support the brands featured, many of whom are pretty small and need all the exposure they can get.

I know that we’re makin great strides as an industry with this niche, but all too often clothing aimed at gamers, geeks, nerds, and other people that are a little disappointed when you tell them you don’t use Linux is just a bit terrible. Supercombo (who are something to do with Funkrush, which can only be a good thing) saw that problem, and decided to do their part in fixing it. The result is three tees (so far) that are a bit nerdy, and a bit awesome.

Funkrush want your walls as well as your body

by Andy on September 2, 2008

I know this isn’t even close to being about clothes (although I guess the badges could be attached to clothes), I thought you guys might be interested. Funkrush have released a couple of new very reasonably priced (£5) A3 sized prints based, one of which is based upon a popular and/or awesome tee design, and I think the other is a fresh design that would make a popular and/or awesome tee design. They’ve also released a couple of badge packs that can be purchased for £2.99 each.

Funkrush are selling socks!

by Andy on August 11, 2008

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a small clothing company selling their own range of socks before, so I just had to mention it.
