Prestigious have put out a really strong new line recently, the whole thing is very wearable, but I think that this one is my favourite of the bunch, probably because of my soft spot for photo tees is about as tough as warm butter.

Bunker Designs are a newish tee company that may or may not be a design contest. They certainly have things in place to be a design contest (submit and vote on designs, earn $5 per shirt sold if your design is printed), but it doesn’t seem to be promoted too much on their front page so perhaps it is a sideline and they also work with artists. Their initial 4 designs are by one of my favourite tee artists aliadotony, so clearly they know good design, which bodes well for the future. Of the bunch this is my favourite it’s a really strong, bold design with a great colour palette.

I like it when clothing designers take a well-known phrase and run at it from a previously unknown angle, conjuring up a design that is different from the norm. Obviously this hoodie (also available as a tee) is takes on the old saying “the pen is mightier then the sword” and has fun with it. I imagine that English majors would get a kick out of this, sword-fighting majors too!

It’s always fun to look back in the past and see old school technology. It’s even better when the artists I work with do it for me and then make it an awesome piece of art. This CMYK style design is printed amazingly and is sure to impress when worn out to the bar or that 7am class.
I guess that the concept behind this design is that this is some kind of magical typewriter that can write with colours, perhaps you wrote “elephant” on a piece of paper and the typewriter would magically transform it into some wonderful, colourful animal… or maybe it just looks cool.
