Usually I’m not all that excited by the designs that are on Shirt.Woot, they’re always technically well produced and they have good artists, but the style doesn’t always appeal to me, and the style doesn’t seem to vary all that much, although I don’t check in with Shirt.Woot everyday so I could easily be wrong about that. It might also be the case that I’m not in line with the average wooter as well, since I think this tee is brilliant, yet it hasn’t sold out yet. Usually good shirts on Woot sell out pretty quickly.

I really like this shirt, but I think I’d like it even more if there was one little change. The coloured part is meant to be the characters finding colours as if they’d struck oil right? Wouldn’t it be cool if there were drops of colour landing on the characters and landscape slowly turning them into their coloured versions? Maybe that would be really hard to print, I dunno, but that was where my mind went when I saw this design.

Do you ever get kind of depressed that there are just so many issues nowadays that need people’s help? It sometimes feels like if something exists then there is a high likelihood that something is trying to kill it, and that there are some people trying to save it. Can’t we just have something that is good that isn’t in danger?

I don’t know if that’s what 1Soul Designs were going for with this design, but that was what I thought of, and I really like the doodle-style hand-drawn text that they’ve written ‘Rebel With Too Much Cause’ in, it helps to keep things a bit light-hearted in the face of social responsibility overload.

Remember those protests last week when people put Guy Fawkes masks on and had funny signs protesting Scientology (ha, as if you need that link)? Yeah, it was kinda weird, but I did think it was about damn time that someone finally took a stand… and copied V for Vendetta when protesting, seriously, how did it take this long?

This tee has no political or religious statement to make, as far as I can tell, its ‘just’ a well designed and executed tee with a slightly trippy concept behind it. I know which of the two I’d rather have in my wardrobe, but they’ve both got their attractive qualities.
