I think we can safely file this post under ‘things you won’t buy’ unless you happen to be in Hong Kong, and probably near the front of a long line of streetwear obsessives. Actually, this collaboration between XLarge and the Halo team was released at HK Double Park locations on February 26th, so your best bet is probably eBay by this point.
So, you won’t be buying this collabo pack (tee, hat, USB stick), but are any HYA-ers going to be picking up Halo Wars on Tuesday? Is this going to be the game that makes me regret not dumping half the contents of my suitcase out and replacing it with my Xbox?

One of the reasons why I like streetwear companies is because they seem to really enjoy trying something different and pushing the envelope, and these tees by CLOT are a great example of that. From certain angles, this range of tees look as if they just have a solid pattern on them, but then if you catch them just right a hidden messages is revealed, saying something apparently powerful though actually kind of meaning-less like “Fuck the Paparazzi,” “Only God can Judge Me,” and “Sex is not a crime.”
According to Hypebeast:
The set will launch November 25th, 2008 at the Juice store in Hong Kong and Clotinc.com while the white “Sex is not a crime” version will be exclusively sold at Malaysia’s Playground.
I’m a little annoyed that I’ve just found about about this Juice store in Hong Kong, because it looks really cool and I never went there back in February, despite staying in a hotel that was less than 10 minutes walk from Causeway Bay the shopping Mecca (it was amazing) where the shop is located.

You know what surprised me about Hong Kong? Charlie Brown is huge over there, to the point at which I simply had to check it out and go in one of the
Charlie Brown coffee shops and try some of the
cheesecake (and good grief it was tasty). The place was totally surreal, everything was CB branded and styled, it felt like I was sat in a cartoon.
I guess that the fascination with Charlie Brown might be why Wrongwroks were inspired to create this simple but instantly recognisable design. There’s also a couple of other designs/colourways in the gallery.

I think a sign that t-shirts are taking over my life came in Hong Kong wen I was excited to spot an
Beams T, the much-collaborating Japanese tee label, and one of their famous t-shirt conveyor belts, in a mall on a street in Kowloon (they also have a larger store in Kowloon Tong, but even I won’t travel on 3 trains for 40 minutes for t-shirt conveyor belt). The tees weren’t exactly cheap, but they were nicely designed by names that I actually recognised (although owning the
Beams T book probably has something to do with that), and they’re a really cool brand that can happily sit in any tee junkies closet, so I recommend you check them out if you get a chance.
