I guess looking at this hoodie you don’t think that there’s anything really special going on, just a guy climbing a ladder on on top of a splash of colour, right?

Wrong. As far as I can tell, nothing on this hoodie is printed, it’s all stitched, which I’m guessing is quite a lot of work considering how much is going on at the back of this hoodie. I can’t decide whether I’d actually wear it, but I am certainly impressed by it.

Thinking Hurts by Yes No Maybe

Yes No Maybe have got a load of new designs out for your purchasing pleasure, and this clever hoodie is part of the new collection. Printing on the hood is always a bit fun and this is a great example of it. Usually the print on the hood is just a bit of an afterthought, a welcome afterthought, but never that integral to the design, but in this case YNM have turned it into the focal point of the hoodie, which is a cool change of pace, although I guess it does mean that you’re going to need to have your hood up more often then you usually would for people to ‘get’ it.

Til death do us part white hoodie by academy printwear

Yet again, we have the position of what appears to be a great looking hoodie, let down by frustratingly small pictures. I really hope that Big Cartel (who power this store and many others) make it possible soon for people to have larger pictures of their products because we’re really missing out on the details in what we can see now.

Very cool, intricate design on this. It isn’t that often that you’d see a design like this on the back of a hoodie, it seems rather more suited to the front, but still, you all know that I love an unusual and unexpected printing position. Speaking of which, the print on the side of the hood (even though it is partially their logo) looks like an absolute beaut with the way that it runs down the hood.

Rope Stripe Hoodie by Sailor Jerry

I could yak on for a couple of paragraphs about this hoodie, but they’ve done a good job with the blurb, so I’ll let them take it from here:

In case you don’t know it, horizontal stripes are an old school sailor thing. Men swabbed decks, shouted out whales, and had on-board barefisted boxing tournaments in these stripes. So we used them on a hoodie along with a Sailor Jerry clipper ship. You could leave your balls at home and still be a man when you wear this hoodie.

“Leave your balls at home and still be a man,” that’s what I like about small brands, they can get away with saying the things that larger brands wouldn’t dare.
