The folks over at Mishka NYC must have had a really tough time deciding on the theme for their latest lookbook, because they took the revolutionary step of taking pictures of attractive women wearing the clothes, and also a few pictures of them barely wearing the clothes. I guess that having women model the mens collection is somewhat original, but having the women so scantily clad means that you don’t really get to see much of the clothing, so it’s actually pretty hard to pass comment on the new range.

This t-shirt seems to be causing a fuss because its apparently insulting to Carrie Underwood, because she is vegetarian and used to date Tony Romo, who Jessica Simpson now dates. I almost hate myself for writing that last sentence since its so ridiculously Us Magazine, but it does allow me to ask the question; how come no one has pointed out that this t-shirt is probably the kind of thing that you get given when Joe Francis turns you into a Girls Gone Wild ’star’?

Also, I’ve noticed that behind her, Tony Romo is wearing a t-shirt that has ‘hickory’ written on it (see thumbnail if you don’t believe me). Now, I might be just looking at the bright side of this, but is it possible that Tony and Jessica are just really, really big fans of barbeque food?

I really like it when people send me things that aren’t tees. Let’s be clear, I love it when people send me tees and really appreciate people taking the time to package stuff up for me, but being sent stuff that isn’t tees or hoodies is a real novelty for me. Wrongwroks, who I think its fair to say I’m a fan of, sent over a couple of hats and a couple of sticker sets to HYA central, and after a hard day digging up a cobbled road (no, really) I sat in the garden and took some pictures of the goods. I’m no expert on hats (though I am rather partial to them), so I’m just going to let the pictures do the talking. So if you want to find out what’s in that box (and see me rocking some seriously hot modeling looks) then click on through… unless you’re reading the RSS feed, in which case you’ve just got to scroll down (possibly, it’s feed reader dependent apparently).

To go along with the last few releases from Wrongwroks that I’ve blogged about, here is the third design to go in the first part of their summer collection. It features their dorabob character reimagined as a heart, so I guess this tee is Spongebob x Doraemon x a heart. I guess that they’re sticking with Zoe as the model for the time being, I wonder if Nat will ever be coming back?All the new tees and new hats are available in their store.

I’ve mentioned on HYA before that I’m something of a fan of Justice, the rather excellent purveyors of electronic music. I’d noticed that there was a few tees around referencing them and their music, so I thought I’d whip together a post about them. A couple of these are from the infamous video for D.A.N.C.E, but I realise that there a lot more of the tees from that vid can be found on these Daily Tee and Tcritic posts.

1. Teelovers described the tee at the top of this post as the ultimate t-shirt for lovers of Justice. I like the idea of random people in the street not knowing who it is and just thinking you’ve got some weird guys face on your tee (hey, that might be a good idea for a line…). No link since I don’t have a clue where this one if from or if it can even be bought.

2. I think it’s cool that someone would like a song so much that they’d design a tee that references it, especially when the song in question has loads of tees in its video. Link
3. This tee is a totally unofficial homage to one of my favourite tees in the d.a.n.c.e video. I think it would look nice paired with a shirt. Link
4. This tee is also from the d.a.n.c.e video, and tickles the part of me that likes fake clothes, by which I mean t-shirts that aren’t meant to look like t-shirts (the fake tuxedo tee is probably the most famous example). If you go to The Kid America Club store, then put in your region, then click on t-shirts, and you’ll find this beast staring you in the face. I’d give you a link straight the the tee, but KAC are rather particular about how you reach it.
5. Ok, fair enough, this design is from the same collection as number 2, but why mess with something that works? For those of you that aren’t up on your Justice, this tee has the main lyrics to the breakout remix they did (Justice vs Simian - We Are Your Friends) for a radio remix contest that was so good it led to them signing to Ed Banger records, who they’ve been with since 2003. I never really know what to write in these celeb posts because I’m not a celeb blogger, and I only really write them because I like to change things up around here in terms of content (and celebrities are traffic gold), but I’ve been a fan of Mila’s since the That 70s Show days (by which I mean I’ve thought she was hot since then), and she is wearing a Nightmare Before Christmas hoodie, so I thought I’d give her a bit of HYA love.

I haven’t managed to find an exact replica of the hoodie that she is wearing, but I have managed to find the same design as a zip-up hoodie at three different UK based stores for the same price, here, here, and here, may I recommend that if you want to pick it up then see how much shipping is at each shop and then you’ll be able to find the cheapest of the lot.

I think I managed to go without blogging Wrongwroks for a few weeks, what a terrible situation!

The reason for the lack in WR pop culture mashup designs is that their summer releases have been delayed, but I thought I’d give you a bit of a tease in the form of these pics from the WR blog. I’m afraid there’s no NAT in this update, but to be fair to her, new model Zoe isn’t exactly an uggo.

I wouldn’t usually mention a t-shirt that has sold out (especially as the last post was something that didn’t have a ‘buy’ link), but I spotted this on in my bookmarks and I’m really annoyed that I didn’t mention it to you before. In my defence, on the French blog post about it (yep, I even subscribe to the blog I can barely read) a couple of months ago they didn’t provide a link to the sale page, so I guess I was probably waiting for a shop link to come up before posting it, and then just forgot entirely.
