From the Imagination Foundation website: “This sublimated T shirt is printed on a specially developed fabric to maximize colour and resolution, yet still have a comfy organic feel on the inside. The exterior face is polyester and the interior is cotton. The print is on both the front and back making the entire shirt our canvas. The fidelity of the image on this garment surpasses even the definition of our screen printed shirts.”
Now this, this I’d like to see, sounds like it might even be worth the $45.

They’ve also restocked the popular Flying Colours tee, and in a few more colourways too.

Beyond that news, they’ve also changed their shipping method to a flat rate of $7 in the US, and $20 for us international people. I know that I should have probably put one of their latest designs as the picture to go with this post, but I really liked the image they made to showcase the new shipping policy.

I think that this tee is from their latest batch of designs, I really like the way that the perspective is set so that it actually looks like you’re moving into the future the further along the line you go. Without having seen the title and if the colours were a little more dour I would have presumed that this tee was a commentary upon the monotonous routine that a lot of white collar workers endure on a daily basis, but that just wouldn’t be very Imaginary Foundation-like now, would it?

Embroidery on clothing does seem to make it feel a bit more luxurious than regular screen-printing, even if excessive stitchery has a tendency to render the fabric less flexible.
The Imaginary Foundation is a think-tank of free-thinkers who wanted to “eliminate set conventions in favor [sic for Brits] of the humorous,
the abstract and the visionary”. Frankly, I don’t care what they do as long as the merch is nice. It is!
As I alluded (sp?) to earlier, this track jacket has an embroidered logo, which has a pretty funky font, which I assume is abstract and humorous. Its hard to make out from the picture but the there are two colours in the logo, my favourite light blue for ‘the’ and ‘foundation’ and some classic white for ‘imaginary’.

*Early post today because my classmates and I are going out to celebrate the completion of our dissertations (10,000 words, 1 years research and work) and I don’t trust myself to post after an evenings revelry.*
