Looking at this shirt, you wouldn’t necessarily think of Fullbleed, Dobi’s regular creative outlet (as far as tees go), it would probably be more likely that Imaginary Foundation came to mind for most of you when looking at this tee that he subbed to Design By Humans. The man has raaaaange!

I’m going to be straight up with you, I have no idea who Alvaro Ilizarbe is, and when I got an e-mail from Fabulous Nobodies (FABNOB, who I also hadn’t encountered before, though they count me as a friend in their sidebar, so they must be good people) asking if it was ‘worthy of a mention on HYA’ I figured it wouldn’t be, because why would I point you towards an interview with someone I’d never heard of? But I was putting the cart before the horse, and I
actually enjoyed the interview, and finding out about Alvaro’s clothing line,
Freegums.
FABNOB, who apart from having a name that makes us Brits titter, seem to be trying to bring good non-Aussie brands to Australians, kind of like
Electric Press are doing in the UK. At the moment they’ve got Dance Party Massacre,
Seibei, Glamour Kills, Imaginary Foundation and
Local Celebrity on their roster, amongst others, so if you’re Australian and sick of paying exorbitant shipping fees when buying from non-native brands, FABNOB would probably be worth a look.

The only time I went to Helsinki when I was walking around I felt as if I was still on the cruise ship rocking from port to starboard, which was very unpleasant, so I don’t really have fond memories of the place. I’m not going to hold it against the Finns behind
Grey Market, because from the looks of things, they know a thing or two about making
hoodies that are both good-looking and functional.
Apparently the new range is available from their store, Grey Market Supply, but I can’t find it, although I can find lots of other great brands there, such as Sixpack, Upper Playground, & Imaginary Foundation. Hopefully the hoodie above, and the ones in the gallery below, will turn up in the store soon, because they look great.

From the IF:
From the Imagination Foundation website: “This sublimated T shirt is printed on a specially developed fabric to maximize colour and resolution, yet still have a comfy organic feel on the inside. The exterior face is polyester and the interior is cotton. The print is on both the front and back making the entire shirt our canvas. The fidelity of the image on this garment surpasses even the definition of our screen printed shirts.”
Now this, this I’d like to see, sounds like it might even be worth the $45.

Turn Nocturnal have seem to have, ummm, turned direction with their latest release,
Smoking, which has seem them leave behind the strong and bold lines for something that is in a style reminiscent of the
Imaginary Foundation, with the black and white hand being contrasted by some very colourful smoke.
They’ve also restocked the popular Flying Colours tee, and in a few more colourways too.

Big thanks to Pokeadot, who I presume is a HYA reader, for letting me know that
Imaginary Foundation released some new designs from their presumably Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory-esque headquarters in Switzerland.
Beyond that news, they’ve also changed their shipping method to a flat rate of $7 in the US, and $20 for us international people. I know that I should have probably put one of their latest designs as the picture to go with this post, but I really liked the image they made to showcase the new shipping policy.
