Looking at this tee I initially thought “that’s just (almost) fives lines in a rectangle on a tri-blend.” It’s a simple tee, but sometimes simple tees, when done well, can be some of my favourites to wear, and I think that this tee from ISO50 would be counted amongst them.

Scott Hansen’s ISO50 is one of those brands that I almost never mention because I just presume that you guys would all know about him, but then I realised that perhaps you don’t maybe all this time you’ve been missing out on his wonderful designs. I’ve got no idea why the year 1976 was picked, but I suppose it’s not all that important, unless you get into one of those awkward conversations when people ask you what your shirt is about and you have to stand there like an idiot saying you don’t know, as if you’re such a moron that you don’t look at things before you buy them (this happens to me quite a lot with the tees that I get sent as samples).

There’s something about the idea of a black-on-black tee that always tickles me, it’s a concept that shouldn’t really work, but in the hands of ISO50 I’m hardly surprised that I like the result.
