When it comes to design, I’m not really a fan of ‘fancy’ typework, I like things to be simple, readable and bold, but that all changes with t-shirts, where I’m happy for there to be curls and embellishments all over the place. If you were wondering, the text is inspired/lifted from Kurt Vonnegut’s book Slaughterhouse 5. Interesting looking tee from The Affair this, with the blue stitching on the shoulders, nice to see them doing something different from the norm.

Novel-T offer t-shirts with American authors on them as if they were part of a softball team with an image from their books on the left breast like a team crest. So… that means that if you were to buy the Vonnegut tee you’d have an asshole on your chest. Nice.
It’s a cool concept, which is why BoingBoing posted them, but I feel like their site is letting them down with it’s dated design. I often complain about a lack of decent product pictures on a site letting down a company after they’ve spent so much printing their tees, the same holds true for websites in general, why spend money on a good product then showcase it in a poor manner? I should point out that there’s nothing particularly wrong with the site, at least you can place an order through it, but I feel like it is a weak point for them.
