I don’t really know why the Strawberry are rocking this goth look in their product pics today, but I’m all for a bit of imagination when it comes to promo pics, so all power too them… even if they are obscuring the view of the design.

The design, for me, is classic La Fraise, its amazing how all of the different t-shirt design competitions manage to carve out their own style, and I think that La Fraise have accomplished that more than most other sites, and their brand is all the stronger for it. A cat and a fox DJing… only in France!

If you’ve got a date for Valentine’s Day (not me… sigh) then you’ve got to be very careful about what you wear. I guess if you guys are taking your girl to a fancy restaurant then t-shirts might not necessarily be part of your dress code, but some of you might be taking the more casual approach, in which case one of these tees might be right up your alley. As usual for my lists, they aren’t in any particular order, and I know there’s a lot more romantic tees out there but I really thought it would be best to keep this list to the appropriate figure of 14 items. 6. This is probably the best use of glow-in-the-dark ink that I’ve ever seen, a heart shaped speech-bubble during the day, a not-as-cheesy-as-you’d-expect line at night. $18 Link

8. Great idea from the La Fraise team, and they’d probably look pretty good as single tees too (more designs for couples are in their shop). €22 Mens/Womens

12. A really great idea from the ThinkGeek crew, the closer the two tees are the more hearts light up. Unfortunately these are sold out until about March/April, but I just had to put them on the list. $24.99 (each) Link

13. Simple, but pretty funny, it could do with some ThinkGeek trickery to make it change depending on your mood though. $12 Link

14. It just wouldn’t be a decent list if I didn’t give the emo kids some love with this design from Rob Dobi’s Fullbleed. $16 Link

I don’t get the joke on this design (something about equality maybe?), as is oft-discussed on these pages my French can get me, food, drink, directions and and pretty much anything in a builder’s merchants, but I don’t really understand the much else. Still, a very timely release from the La Fraise team since Lego turned 50 recently. And if you want to see what people do with Lego nowadays, check out this post from BoingBoing.

Y’know, I’m pretty sick of how being ecologically sound and environmentally conscientious is now just another buzzword for cranking up prices. Sure, put your shopping in an organic cotton tote bag rather than using plastic bags, but doesn’t it seem a bit silly to pay $60 for that bag?I guess that’s what this tee is all about, challenging people to stop being so damned smug about how eco-friendly they are… and, trying to stop people from eating pandas? My French isn’t great, but I’m pretty sure that’s what it means. For the record, I will never stop eating panda until they stop tasting so finger ling ling good!

Yes, this post is pretty much just an excuse for me to post this tee model again, because she’s cute and I’m a smitten kitten (pun not intended, but left in the post because it was so terrible).

In fairness to Laurent, this is actually an excellently composed design, which I;m sure will suit those of you that want to goth up from time to time without having to go to all that trouble of actually looking like a goth.

It’s been too long:

La Fraise + Spreadshirt: Interesting noises coming from HipHipUK (new UK based tee blog) that the popular French submission-competition tee company La Fraise has been bought out by Spreadshirt. I can’t find any corroboration on this at the moment, but it’s an interesting move on the part of Spreadshirt since they already have a design competition running in the form of Derbz.

Yabbos: May I predict that these guys will receive a level of Oddica-esque love from bloggers for the next month or so? They’ve got some good designs (sometimes in the Threadless style), and more importantly, they’ve got a name that you like to say, and will remember. I’m not too hot for their site design and layout though (aren’t they using the same font as That 70s Show?).

Chateauroux: As mentioned in this weeks gossiptastic mailout of Popbitch, so they don’t exactly need my promotion, but they do have some hot tees, even though they’re a bit pricey for my tastes.

Rokko: Limited to a maximum of 15 pieces per design, so exclusive that if you ever see someone else wearing one you’ll do a double-take so fast you may well break your neck.
