Rockscalibur got in touch to say hello and asked me to check out their stuff. At the moment there’s only one design in stock (unsurprisingly, it’s the t-shirt above), I think they’ve had more designs on sale in the past, but they only produce 25 shirts for every design so it’s fairly likely that they’ve sold out of the older designs. It looks as if new stuff will be in soon though as there are a few pixelated teasers for other designs in the shop. If those new designs are as good as the tee above then I think we’ll be checking out Rockscalibur more often in the future.

I really like the idea of the collage within this logo from streetwear store Krudmart, and the way that there’s a lot going on within the letters but otherwise the crewneck is quite simple and not overbearing.

Clearly, A Better Tomorrow have released nicer shirts in the past, but their logo shirt is pretty cool, I do think it may be a little overpriced since they charge €22 for shirts with loads of colours on them and this is the same price for a relatively simple white print on a black shirt. Presumably having prices the same across the board means that you get better value some days more than others.

Whilst I’m not really a fan of either Doctor Who (though I have learned a lot about it via the medium of t-shirts), or Hoover, this design by Cuffy at RedBubble does look pretty cool, almost like merchandise for an indie band. Can someone more in the know than me explain if there is a link between Dr. Who and Hoover? The only thing I can think of is that K-9 looked like a Hoover, and I know that in the early days of the show they would use household appliances as props, so maybe that is a link?

I got a lovely e-mail from Andrew, the guy behind this new line out of New York, and when I clicked through to the website I found tees that were just as lovely. Very cool logo shirt, and the packaging looks nice too. I always have a tendency to trust a brand that does something different with their packaging, because if they’re considerate enough to put thought into a relatively small element of the purchasing experience (if the packaging is standard you don’t even think about it), then they’ve probably put a lot of thought into the quality of their shirts. We should have a review coming up soon, so we’ll be able to judge that quality first-hand.
