Daily Tees & News for December 1st

by Andy on December 1, 2011

teefury reported attack page

Welcome to December. Naturally a lot of brands will be focusing on making sales during the run up to Christmas, and I suspect we’ll see a lot of coupon codes and discounts revolving around that, so the news portion of these roundups will likely grow. These roundups do take quite a lot of time, so if you like it, share it please!

When I try to visit TeeFury Firefox comes up with this. Now, I am 100% confident that Teefury has not been an elaborate phishing scam from the beginning, but after checking out their Facebook page it seems a lot of people have also had this message come up, so I feel that their site may have been compromised in some way. This happened to HYA once and it was hell getting it fixed as someone that doesn’t have much technical expertise, hopefully they will have it sorted soon and it doesn’t cause too many headaches, but I recommend anyone who has visited in the past few days to run a virus scan. There has been no response that I can see from Teefury as of yet.

Quite a clever shirt from Qwertee today, showing fictional books based on movies such as Ghostbusters and Back To The Future.

There’s a lot of excitement over at RIPT for this Star Wars x Transformers mashup.

T-world 7: New York tee-ser from T-world on Vimeo.

Long-time readers will be well aware that I am a fan of T-World magazine (no point linking to the website, it’s literally a black page), even though I haven’t been able to pick up an issue for years now, since they seem to be stocked in 2 stores in the UK for about 1 week a year and if I want to get it online I’d have to pay £20. Twenty quid for a magazine is a bit much even if it is being sent from Australia.

This video is a teaser for their 7th issue which will be all about New York. It is also going to be a new format for the magazine and a new direction, and I think that it’s going to be available as a hardcover edition, which sounds an awful lot like a book to me.

So, I know that the 7th issue will be released a some point in the near-ish future, which means the hunt will soon be on to find a copy. If you know of any stockists let me know!

Oh yeah, HYA was in Digital Arts Magazine!

Post image for Oh yeah, HYA was in Digital Arts Magazine!

I actually got this magazine last week (after it took more than a month to be delivered by Digital Arts, which is pretty poor) and shared it on Twitter and Facebook, but somehow forgot to mention it here. It’s only a small mention, seeing as it is literally just the URL and tagline of the site, but it’s very cool to see my site in print for a second time.

And yes, they mis-spelled Emptees.

Gifts from Beautiful/Decay

by Andy on December 29, 2008

I’m fairly used to receiving tees from people, but a magazine is a bit more unusual, and it was really nice to be sent a copy of Beautiful/Decay, as the only way I can usually get a copy is to spend a couple of hours driving to my favourite shop in Manchester. I really like the collage look on this tee, and the ‘eat more’ theme certainly lends itself to the festive season. One thing I’d note, as this isn’t a real review, is that this tee is an XXL but fits like a fairly slim XL, so you’re going to need to carefully check out the size chart if you’ve never made a purchase from B/D before.
