I was recently introduced to the world of Mc Bess when visiting a friend who had a print of his on their wall. Afterwards I looked more into this French artist and found a world that seemed familiar and yet so new at the same time.
McBess sells his his t-shirts through, Berlin based, Dudes Factory where you can pick up t-shirt for €29 and they are all printed on American Apparel. There is also some hoodies (€55), custom t-shirt design builder and loads of original art if you are interested. His website does state that the t-shirt are €35, but I have a feeling that this is incorrect.
The Dudes Factory website itself has a load of other great designers, it’s slick and kinda makes me feel jealous that I’m not a part if it! I recommend a visit.

I think it’s fair to say that this is one of the greatest product pictures ever to grace the pages of HYA!
The t-shirt probably won’t make a lot of sense to non-Americans (and non-Mexicans), but the design is a parody of the logo for a beer called Dos Equis, which has gained popularity (or at least is now recognised, I’m not sure if people actually drink it) due to an TV ad featuring “the most interesting man in the world.” It’s a good ad, and whilst beer is nice, it’s clearly no bacon, so Rizzo Tees have probably improved on the original.
Stay hungry… my friends.

The execution is a bit more utilitarian than I’d like to wear, but I would assume that was the look that FAD was going for, and it is appropriate for the concept.

My apologies for accidentally turning Sunday on HYA into ‘
you can’t buy this‘ day, but
Pop Culture Tees spotted this cool packaging that
Salad Design who created this packaging…
for the purpose of a collaboration of Mooks and WWF to raise money for local zoo’s. The Packaging and design were created to complement each other. The meat tray was chosen to represent the obvious meat styled text as were the labels and other stickers around the package.
Nice, huh?

What I like so much about this tee is that it reminded me that its pretty rare to ever see a butchers that has brached out beyond the white/red/blue colour palette, at least that’s the case around where I live. Now that I think about it, I think they all use the same fonts as well! Perhaps all butchers in rural Britain are actually just one big chain and they’ve managed to keep it a well hidden secret.
