Two new shirts at laFraise this week

by Andy on July 2, 2013

Looks like laFraise have cut back a bit this week, for the past few months they’ve been doing four new shirts a week but as is pretty obvious from the title of the post, and the images above, they’re doing a couple this week. However, the quality is still really high (I love that Paris design even though I’ve never been), so we’ve got nothing to complain about, I’m probably just being greedy expecting too much from them.

laFraise have also introduced cheaper pricing for the first 4 days after release, so until Thursday you can pick up these new designs for €19 instead of €23, nice!

T-shirt news for January 26th

by Andy on January 26, 2012

star wars argyle t-shirt

Very nice argyle Star Wars t-shirt today at TeeFury.

Seems to me like this is the kind of design that Shirt.Woot should have been selling in the run up to Christmas.

RIPT drop a Milton Glaser-inspired Doctor Who t-shirt.

Harry Potter Muggle Ale shirt at Qwertee.

Those troublesome Tribbles are at Shirt Punch today.

Skyrim is the inspiration for this Nowhere Bad shirt.

I have no idea what the inspiration is for this design at The Yetee.

Star Wars meets Firefly today at OtherTees (who have a snazzy new site).

TeeRaiders have a Doctor Who design as well.

24tee go for the niche with one of the stars of the (surprisingly enthralling) King of Kong coin-op games documentary.

DBH love owls. On that subject, I saw a man walking down the street with an owl yesterday. Owls are great.

Hey look, Tilteed are selling one of their lesser seen designs again.

I have no idea what the kanji (presuming it’s Japanese) on this shirt says, so buyer beware at TeeMinus24.

Tee Gazette have put together their 10 favourite tees from the Storenvy marketplace for January.

Sock Monkee have released their Ampertastic Mr. Fox design as a print.

Adam over at IAMTHETREND busts six commonly held myths about his employer Storenvy.

Wrongwroks have released a parka with a faux fur trim.

Threadless have made some tees available to be put on Xbox avatars, and they cost about $1 each, but here’s the real kicker, if you want a hoodie you have to pay $2. They’re pixels, just because it costs double in real life doesn’t mean that they should cost double on the Xbox marketplace!

Glennz has made some more designs available as hoodies.

Mashable have a guide to building a strong online community around your brand.

Everything is on sale at Myth Clothing.

This Rihanna ‘thug life’ tattoo picture has been doing the rounds, but it’s her John Lennon t-shirt that interests me the most.

Here’s Katy Perry wearing a pretty cool hoodie (and I suspect a cool skull-based all over print t-shirt too).

Buy one get one free (on tees, not hoodies) at Eleven Eleven.

Typography Shop have put all their hoodies on sale.

Sehubabe have released a hoodie and t-shirt for Transardentes 2012 (a Belgian electro rock festival).

TanDan have been added as a brand store at A Better Tomorrow.

fab.com poptee pop up shop

The term ‘pop-up shop’ is one of my most hated in retail, it’s a fairly irrational hatred, granted, but I think it’s a bit pretentious when you’re just opening a shop. The idea of a pop-up shop online however, that’s utterly ridiculous, it means nothing, especially on a site like Fab.com that only ever sells things in a time limited fashion. I know I’m going overboard, but it’s a pet peeve of mine so I’m cool with being peeved. At Fab.com, a pop-up shop is a sale that last a bit longer, usually items are on the site for 3 days or a week, but this t-shirt pop-up shop will be around another 44 days, which gives you plenty of time to pick up any shirts you’d like.

There are some really good t-shirts in the collection that you can see above, exclusive designs created by an impressive array of designers, which is of course far more important than me being pedantic about semantics. Another pedantic point, if these shirts are exclusive to this Fab.com pop-up shop, how come their retail price is $35 and they’ve been lowered to $19.50 for Fab, surely that means they aren’t exclusive?

I’m annoyed with myself for writing negative things in this post, because I like the shirts, and I like the price, which is the most important thing to consider, but it wouldn’t be HYA if I didn’t complain about meaningless things.

Big Love by Fishgun at MySoti

by Andy on February 13, 2010

Post image for Big Love by Fishgun at MySoti

It’s clearly too late to pick this up for your loved one for tomorrow, but I’m the kind of guy that believes you should be romantic all year round, not just because it’s a specific date, but you end up doing something anyway just because you don’t want to be un-romantic on a day when everyone else is getting flowers and chocolates for their girlfriends.

Also, my apologies to people that saw this post title and expected a tee about the TV show, but hey, at least you got to see a cool looking tee, right?

Costiness=$14.50 Buy it at MySoti

109 I love NY style t-shirts for you to love

by Andy on December 14, 2009

109

After the success and popularity of my previous list posts such at the 202 Star Wars t-shirts and robot lists (and of course the ridiculously meta list of t-shirt lists), I started saving up links of tees that fit into various categories, but there’s no point me just saving them up indefinitely, so it’s about time I started posting all these lists, most of them don’t quite breach the lofty barrier of more than 100 items in a list, but as they say, it’s not the size, it’s the amount of time Andy spent thinking up the metaphor.

As fasr as t-shirts go, few are more iconic than the design Milton Glaser created to help promote New York (the state, not just the city) back in the 70s. That design has gone on to be used in hundreds of different ways and become part of American pop culture, so it’s hardly surprising that the style has found it’s way onto more than a few t-shirts.

As ever with my list posts, THEY ARE NOT IN ANY RANKED ORDER, the numbers are merely there to keep track of the amount of tees in the list. I say this every time and no one seems to listen, it’s as if you skip the intro and move straight on to all the tees! Also, there are some affiliate linked shirts in there, so it’s possible I will earn money from people buying certain t-shirts on this list, but as I’ve listed just about as many as I could find, it’s hardly surprising that some of the companies have affiliate programmes. Some of the tees in the list are sold out already, and depending upon the success of this post some of them could become sold out in the future, but they could also be reprinted, so in many ways these tees are like Schroedinger’s cat before you click on the link. The list has been split into two pages to make things a little bit easier on my server, but please click through to the second page, because some of my favourites are on there and I think the list finishes pretty strongly, so they’re all worth checking out.

As ever, any exposure you can give to the list (stumble, tweet, delicious bookmark, blog post, digg, ill-considered full-back tattoo) will be greatly appreciated, and I’ll write up a thank you post with links back to everyone that helped in a couple of weeks. Now let’s go love some t-shirts!
