Again with the Muppets at TeeFury!

Not for me at Shirt.Woot today, but there’s nothing wrong with it.

Not sure if I’d wear this shirt just because it’s on white, but I certainly to like this Walking Dead design at RIPT.

T-shirt News Roundup for January 16th

by Andy on January 16, 2012

mythbusters t-shirt

Dexter’s Laboratory meets Mythbusters in this shirt from Teefury.

Y’know, I’ve never seen Donnie Darko, judging by the amount of shirts about it, including this one from Qwertee, I probably should (lots of shirts usually = a good movie).

Shirt.Woot have a delightful 8-bit Ghostbusters design.

Strangely, RIPT also have a Ghostbusters shirt, though with a Muppets twist.

Glow in the dark shirt from The Yetee.

Nowhere Bad have a Portal inspired shirt.

OtherTees have a nice Sherlock design. Did anyone see the last episode of the current run last night? That show is so damn good.

24Tee are selling a familiar stormtrooper design.

TeeRaiders have a Firefly design that I didn’t need to Google to work out what it was.

Quite a pretty Twitter design from Stupidhurts.us.

GraphicLab have a Portal shirt on sale all this week.

Tee Mashups is closing, which is unfortunate, though at least they are being up front about things and are sending refunds to people that will not receive their shirts.

Star Wars comes to Shirt Punch today.

Not my kind of tee at DBH today, but interesting nevertheless.

Hey look, Tilteed are selling Greg Abbott’s lovely fox design again.

Glennz has turned five of his designs into iPhone wallpapers (may also work with other smartphones, I’m not sure).

Tony over at Wrongwroks has released a parka jacket in five different colours.

Perception Apparel have put three of their tees on sale for $10.

Halfcut Clothing have released a shirt to celebrate their involvement with the Blind Tiger Collective. Use coupon code hcc10 to get 10% off your order in their store.

The official press release for the Boston Tee Party has been released, it doesn’t cover much new ground but it’s nice to have it all be ‘official’.

Big Cartel let us know about some of their milestones in 2012, such as collective store sales of over $100,000,000 from their almost 200,000 stores.

Mighty Fine are running a competition with Marvel to find an amazing Avengers t-shirt design with the winner receiving up to $2,500.

Johnny Cupcakes has a couple of new tees, and a couple of new hats in his stores.

Here’s Rihanna wearing a Celine t-shirt that probably cost more than my whole outfit.

Daily Tees & News for January 5th

by Andy on January 5, 2012

frogger t-shirt

Not often you see a Frogger design, and especially not one this not, good work TeeFury.

One of my favourite designs from RIPT for a while, several pop culture doctors (including a few from Doctor Who) forced into glass jars, Futurama-style.

Cool Muppet design at Shirt.Woot today.

The Yetee have more video game characters than you can shake a stick at on this shirt.

Clever shirt from 24tee today creating the T.A.R.D.I.S out of the names of every companion the Doctor has had.

Slave Leia gets turned into a mudflap girl for this Shirt Punch design. I’m sure there are a lot of people out there that would buy these as actual mudflaps.

Qwertee don’t love New York, but they definitely like it.

I’ll buy this shirt… when pigs fly! Stupidhurts.us.

Who doesn’t like owls? I for one am something of a fan, and apparently DBH are too.

Hmmm, I’m fairly sure that BustedTees didn’t come up with the artwork on this t-shirt… still, it’s $13.99 in their daily deal instead of $20.

It’s nice to see Tilteed rolling out some of their lesser seen designs for a change, things were getting a bit samey.

‘Colourful chords’ makes a reappearance at Loviu.

Catch of the Day Tee haven’t had anything on their site all week, hopefully they’re just taking an extended break for the holidays.

laFraise are offering free shipping when you buy two or more t-shirts with the coupon code SHIPFREE2012 until midnight on Sunday.

I don’t really understand the crossover between My Little Pony and Pokemon, but I’m sure some of you will.

Having never watched Venture Bros I’m not particularly enamored with today’s shirt at RIPT.

Nice 8-bit tee at Shirt.Woot today.

night of the living dead t-shirt

Very cool Night of the Living Dead shirt from TeeFury today.

Here’s another Firefly design I don’t understand at Qwertee, and I’m all the more confused because it is a Jurassic Park mashup too.

Song Bird makes another appearance at Tilteed.

Good use of negative space from Stupidhurts.us today.

Nice take on the old proverb from Shirt.Woot.

I guess that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles must be popular again since there is a definite rise in the amount of TMNT shirts I’ve been seeing recently, and I’m not exactly hunting them out. From $10 at RIPT.

I previously featured this shirt a couple of weeks ago when it was on RedBubble, but now it has made it’s way over to The Yetee for the next few days.

I haven’t seen Machete but this parody shirt from OtherTees still makes me laugh.

How depressed does Snuffaluffagus look? 24tee.

As a big Community fan I am very pleased to see this ‘Troy & Abed in the morning’ shirt up at TeeRaiders.

The infinite Swiss army knife makes a return to Loviu.

Nice to see a Zoidberg/Futurama shirt on Shirt Punch today.

I think I’d probably like this latest DBH shirt if it didn’t have the sea turtle on it, but it’s still wearable nevertheless.

Don’t worry, it’s cool to be a nerd now! $11 down from $20 at BustedTees today.

The Cool Hunting gift guide is now live.

beaker muppets t-shirt

I think that of all these new Muppets shirts at Mighty Fine the Beaker Beaker design is my favourite, which means I’m not in line with the general public because that shirt was actually a mere runner up in the competition. The winner was the black collage shirt, which is perfectly nice and definitely wearable, but I think that the Beaker shirt is just that little bit more clever.

All the shirts are $25 and available at Mighty Fine now.

muppets design contest

To be honest, I’m not sure whether I should be calling these guys WeLoveFine.com, We Love Fine, or Mighty Fine, they seem to use all three fairly interchangeably, but I am sure that they’re producing some of the finest licensed tees right now, so they can call themselves whatever they want as long as they keep up the quality.

Yesterday they launched a couple of big design contests for The Muppets and Steampunk (with total grand prizes of up to $3,000 and $2,000, respectively), and I know that a lot of HYA readers are designers, so I thought I’d pass the information on since that amount of cash will probably be pretty tempting. Submissions are open from now until early in October, after which the voting period begins.

star wars stormtrooper crossbones t-shirt If I were to link to every shirt up there in the gallery I think I’d be here all night, so I’m just going to point you to the main Mighty Fine site and hunt them down yourself, their navigation is pretty good. Loads of cool shirts in this release, as I’ve said before Mighty Fine seem to be really good with treating their licenses with a lot of respect with the aim of satisfying fans rather than making a quick buck off slapping a logo on a shirt.

muppets E.T. t-shirt

One of the few things I remember about a childhood holiday my family had in Florida was that the E.T. ride at Universal Studios was so amazing that as soon as we got off it we went straight back on. I’m sure that if we went back it wouldn’t nearly be as magical (presuming it is still running). Ahhh, childhood.

From $10 today at RIPT.

PBS muppet t-shirt

I haven’t been taking much notice of the PBS situation in the US. I’m used to having ad-free TV (in the form of the BBC, which you do pay for as part of the yearly TV license fee), but it is something of a novelty in the US where sports seem to be built around ad-breaks. To help raise awareness of those darned Republicans trying to take funding away from PBS (and support PBS too, as some proceed from the shirt go to a ‘local PBS broadcaster’), Mighty Fine have produced this shirt featuring the arms and fists of some of the more well known Muppets.

Costiness=$25 Buy it at Mighty Fine (also available in white and heather grey)

What was Kermit the Frog before he was famous? Cynics would probably say that he was a pile of fabric, plastic and possibly wood, or whatever it is that you use to make a puppet. I prefer to live in a ridiculous world of make believe where I’m famous, spinach is poison (if you get the reference then bravo), and there actually are talking frogs which horny pigs are attracted to.

Costiness=$19.95 Buy it here
