I don’t know why but for some reason I really believe that if they removed their helmets it’d be Luke & Princess Leia. I mean of course that would mean Darth Vader HAD to be their ballroom teacher, right?
For some reason I find the design kind of humorous and a bit nerdy. Regardless, I own one in the turquoise and it’s become one of my go-to t-shirts that I wear weekly. Line of Dance describes it as,
“For the ballroom dancing sci-fi geek in your life, we present: intergalactic! Featuring two “space dancers” floating atop the cosmic dance floor.”

Nerdy Shirts have launched a new initiative that is designed to give us some great t-shirts and also do their bit for charity in the process. They call it the Rule of Thirds; an artist creates a limited edition shirt for Nerdy Shirts, and the profits get spit evenly between them, the artist, and also a charity of the artists’ choice. Naturally, I think this is pretty cool since it’s always good to see an altruistic element to the sale of a t-shirt. Above you can see the first two shirt that have resulted from this programme, the yellow one by Dean Haspiel (benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), and the white Storm Trooper one by Oliver Barrett (benefiting the American Cancer Society).
The shirts are $35 each which is a bit more than usual, but I assume that this extra cost is to do with them having to pay the artist more (since NS don’t usually use named artists) and also putt a couple of dollars on top for the charities.

I think I prefer the version of this that I’ve seen which was 8-bit style, but this design from NerdyShirts is pretty cool too, and knowing them they’ll be legitimately allowed to sell Star Wars t-shirt too.

Okay, remember a couple of days ago when I said I wasn’t an Angry Birds addict? This is how my morning routine went: “wake up, pick up iPhone, look at e-mail, look at Tweetdeck… try to blow up those weird pig things.” I give in, you win Angry Birds, you win. Thankfully they don’t win enough for me to want to order one of these shirts from NerdyShirts, but I’m sure some of you will find it harder to resist.

I’ve got no idea if this sale at NerdyShirts will be lasting beyond just Black Friday or not, so you should probably treat it as being for just today. Naturally, it’s mostly their older designs that are on sale. As I was looking through the designs, I noticed that not all of them have the fll 40% off, I’m not sure if that’s because I’m writing this a few hours before it’s posted (come on, HYA is running at a post an hour today, I have to sleep!), or if that’s how it’s going to be throughout the whole sale. Make your way to the sale section at Nerdy Shirts to see what’s on offer.

Is it just me or should this shirt almost definitely have “Don’t make me go Zelda on your ass” written on it, that’s the saying, right? The only references I can find on Google to this phrase all revolve around this shirt design, maybe NerdyShirts just didn’t want to have a slightly naughty word on their shirt, or is there just a meme here that’s totally passed me by? That said, they have got the style spot on, so I’ve got to give them that.
