pokemon t-shirt

I stopped updating the Black Friday t-shirt deal list once it hit 109 items and I got a migraine, but please remember that not all those deals were just for Black Friday, a lot of them carry on until today and a few beyond that too.

Not often that you’ll see a Pokemon x Katamari Damacy shirt, but TeeFury have given us a great one today.

Qwertee have a shirt about The Hulk today.

The dance of the blue footed boobie makes a return at Tilteed.

Nowhere Bad have dropped a shirt about National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, of course.

I don’t know if there’s any significance to XYZ on the shirt, but I like the idea of the zip in the Y. Stupidhurts.us.

This rather magical tee at Shirt.Woot is also available as a long-sleeve tee.

Swiss Army Wolverine, huh, didn’t see that one coming, RIPT.

Very clever shirt from The Yetee, I wouldn’t call myself a massive fans of the Aliens series, but this concept works really well.

A fairly oblique reference to Futurama from TeeMinus24, but it’s always good to see a Futurama t-shirt.

Very interesting Bowser shirt from 24tee today, good style to it.

TeeRaiders are responsible for our Doctor Who shirt today.

GraphicLab have dropped their latest shirt and it’s a delightful mashup or Scott Pilgrim and Back To The Future.

Very nice musical shirt at Loviu today.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what the Japanese (right?) text says on this Back To The Future tee at Shirt Punch?

Tshirt Contest are parodying Game of Thrones with this bacon flavoured t-shirt.

No new shirt from DBH today, but every tee is $15 for Cyber Monday, I think that’s a pretty good deal!

Kissmetrics take a look at whether having your phone number om your website will increase sales. Hint, it usually does.

Honour Over Glory have released their Autumn/Winter Range, so obviously they had to make a promo video featuring hot girls in the woods.

BustedTees Cyber Monday offering is already down to 20% off.

166 Days have knocked theer shirts down to £9.99 for the week.

Social Fabrik are offering 15% off all their shirts today with the coupon code CYBERMONDAY.

Daily Tees and News Roundup for November 16th

by Andy on November 16, 2011

dalek snowman t-shirt

I think that this Doctor Who t-shirt thing may be getting a bit out of hand now. TeeFury.

Very nice Portal shirt from Qwertee, pity that the text isn’t legible though.

That is one majestic looking unicorn, Tilted.

Soooo, is that owl drunk? Stupidhurts.us

Pretty nice tee from Shirt.Woot today.

There is a surprising lack of Transformers shirts around, something RIPT appear to be looking to address, I’d probably prefer to see more of a Megan Fox-esque woman standing next to the car though.

This TeeMinus24 shirt is in honour of it being 37 years since Wolverine’s first appearance in a full issue of a comic book.

More rage face action from 24tee.

I watched Kung Fu Panda 2 last night so this shirt from Loviu is pretty attractive to me right now.

I was going to have a solid Gears of War session on Sunday night, and then my Xbox died again, it’s 6 years old so it’s had a decent run, but no one likes it when their hardware fails and you have to get a new one, that’s £170 I would have rather not spent. Shirt available at Catch of the Day Tee.

Pretty cool Mario concept from Shirt Punch today.

Very nice from DBH, though I think I’d rather have it as a poster than a t-shirt.

604Republic are running a ‘buy 2 get a 3rd shirt free’ sale, which is pretty nice.

Johnny Cupcakes has dropped 3 new shirts.

Wrongwroks have restocked their Monster hoodies.

IAMTHETREND have an interview with 11:11 Apparel.

Karmaloop are giving 30% off and free shipping ($8 off shipping for international users) with the coupon code TEE30, but only on shirts in the ‘dressed to a tee’ section of the sale page.

Retreat have put all their shirts on sale for £10.

Scifen have teamed up with a hip hop artist that I’ve never heard of (which has no reflection upon how well known they are) called eLZhi to create the garments you can see above.

Coty has declared his love for Instagram (I’m a member too, feel free to follow me, my username is hideyourarms, of course.

No Guts No Glory have released a limited edition Christmas jumper that is far more attractive than the ironic one you bought last year.

February Son have a storewide shirt sale going on until the end of the year, all tee are $16. I don’t know what they were before that, but presumably $16 is less.

I will be launching a new website today that will be taking up a lot of my time for the foreseeable future, please be assured that this is actually a good thing for HYA, becuase it means that I can continue to write here and not get a soul crushing job I don’t love.

hunger games t-shirt

Apparently today’s shirt at TeeFury is to do with a series of books called ‘Hunger Games’ that I’ve never read.

I like what Qwertee are going for here, but I think that you’d have to be a Linkin Park fan to want to buy it, and that might cut out a large section of their followers.

Daily Tees & News for November 8th

by Andy on November 8, 2011

mars university futurama t-shirt

Nice to see more Futurama shirts becoming available, even if it’s just for a day at TeeFury.

Great collage shirt from Qwertee today, one for children of the 80s I think.

Another cool design from Tilteed, but of course it is also an old design, I’d love to know what’s happening there and why we haven’t seen new shirts for so long, hopefully this isn’t the beginning of the end for Tilteed.

Whilst I don’t entirely understand the meaning of the bird painting itself, I do like the artwork today at Shirt.Woot.

Quite a few of the RIPT commenters are chiming in to say that they won’t buy this shirt because it will be out of date in a year, fair point.

It’s pretty rare that you get a shirt that draws from Picasso and Star Wars, bravo The Yetee, bravo.

Nope. I’m going to need someone to explain the reference to me on this 24tee shirt.

Gotta say I’m not in love with the Mario artwork at TeeRaiders today, sorry.

Nice to see this design at Loviu again.

Shirt Punch are exploring that oft-neglected crossover of Doctor Who and Wizard of Oz today.

The straightforwardly named Tshirt Contest have opened their first contest with a call for entries of beer designs.

‘War Torn’ is the Shirt Of The Day at DBH.

Delorean Dashboard is the deal of the day at BustedTees. $11 instead of $20.

I don’t want to complain too much about something that’s a 2 year old issue, but I saw it again and it annoyed me again. Total Film published a list of 100 Star Wars t-shirts in 2009 that I feel is clearly heavily inspired by my list of 202 Star Wars t-shirts. That post took me the better part of 25 hours work, work that they haven’t acknowledged in their list (they have picked all the same shirts as I did, and in many cases they’re listed in the same order. I’m of no doubt that Total Film have earned money from that post (they have ads, and they’re on the first page of Google for the search ‘Star Wars t-shirts’), but all I want from them is acknowledgement that I did the research for their article, and an apology for using my work without permission. If any of you would like to leave a comment on their article or tweet them @totalfilm regarding the issue I’d appreciate it.

Mashable have a short list of “4 Essential Facebook Page Apps to Improve Communication With Fans” that I think will be of use to brand owners.

New shirt today from A Better Tomorrow.

Javaboi Industries have a Steve Jobs tribute shirt. Frankly, I don’t care for the shirt, it’s just not for me, but I can understand why people would look up to Steve Jobs, and it’s cool that Javaboi are donating to charity with the sales from the shirt, especially as they are a brand that has unfortunately had far too many experiences with cancer.

RedBubble artist Tom Trager has released the above ‘Dalek Pest Exterminations’ Doctor Who shirt for £15.99, which I’ve now added to the Doctor Who list.

You can get an extra 15% off at PLNDR with the coupon HUSH15 provided you spend $50+.

Use the coupon code TRIPLE11 to get 20% off your order at Karmaloop from now until midnight (EST) on November 11th.

I’ve opened up a couple of new advertising spaces for your perusal (footer & sidebar skyscraper left). Don’t worry, this isn’t yet more ads on HYA, I’ve converted the two ads that had Google AdSense on them to regular ads (that are backfilled with AdSense at the moment, confused?). They’re on a CPM basis, meaning you only pay for what you want and I’ve made it possible to buy just a couple of thousand pageviews at a time, meaning you can dip your toe in the water advertising on HYA for just a couple of dollars. This also means that we could have hundreds of people advertising on HYA, which I think would be pretty cool.

Unestablish has opened for business, they seem to have some pretty cool higher-end looking clothing.

Counter Balance Clothing (who I hadn’t heard of before) released a big new Fall collection a few days ago, with that many new shirts you guys must be able to find something you like in there.

Time for me to feel bad again, Monstros Apparel have been running a Kickstarter Project for the past month, and now that I finally get around to properly checking out their e-mail the Kickstarter has got 3 days to go and still needs about $2,000 to be funded. I know that HYA probably doesn’t have the readership to give this guy $2,000 but I think there are probably a few of you out there that would have pledged for one of his shirts.

Starship Troopers t-shirt

When I first saw Starship Troopers I thought it was awesome because of all the guns and explosions, and even a couple of boobs here and there, but now that I’m an adult I realise that it’s actually a bit smarter than it’s often given credit for. $10 today at TeeFury.

Daily Tees and News for November 5th

by Andy on November 5, 2011

coffee-aid t-shirt

Oh yeah! TeeFury

Were Tilteed not selling this design just a couple of weeks ago?

Nice Zelda shirt (right reference?) at Shirt.Woot today.

RIPT bring us a Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure mashup today.

It always amazes me how few Simpsons t-shirts there are out there. The Yetee.

Was someone else selling this Buffy the Vampire Slayer t-shirt recently? No matter, it’s available at OtherTees now.

I don’t know what or if there is a reference on this 24tee shirt, but it’s a pretty cool design either way.

A quick Google tells me that this TeeRaiders ‘Miranda Reavers’ design is something to do with Firefly.

At first I was like, “oh, that’s nice” then I looked at this Loviu design a little closer.

Oh man, I’d just written a whole thing about not getting the reference on this Shirt Punch tee, then it hit me, Marty McFly from Back To The Future?

Coty of CotyGonzales.com fame has a new-ish site called Exploration Hawaii all about hiking around Hawaii. We have some stunning walks around where I live (it may be called the Lake District, but there are hills around all those lakes), but the places he’s going look amazing. He’s running a little competition to win a $25 gift certificate from Threadless that I’m sure you’ll want to enter before November 10th.

Kissmetrics have a viral marketing cheat sheet that brand owners may want to check out.

Cuppa-T have put up their Christmas shipping dates.

PalmerCash are doing their bit for Movember.

Urban Outfitters (in the UK/Europe at least) are offering free shipping this weekend.

Hot Topic have updated their monthly coupon code, you can get 20% off with HTA20NOV providing you spend at least $60. Coupon expires December 2nd.

HYA blogger Sleepy Dan has added some snap back hats to his store, expect a behind the scenes look at how they were printed here in the next day or so.

Threadless have added some gorgeous (and massive) graphics to their partnership with Blik.

Make Believe have released a short but delightful video that really captures the spirit of their brand.

Terratag have got a grab bag offer going on that I think gives really good value. They’re mystery tees or sweats/hoodies, so you’ll have to be a big fan of Terratag, but since they have a fairly cohesive range, I think if you like one of their shirts you’ll probably like most of them.

Shirt designers always need more textures right? Apparently this free texture pack at Mintees is mighty fine.

Looks like Mintees are going to be opening a marketplace, which is going to be another nail in the coffin of ShirtHive (another idea I had but couldn’t find the time for).

There’s a really funny interview with former HYA blogger Randyotter at TheShirtList.

Daily Tees & News Roundup for November 1st

by Andy on November 1, 2011

Zelda t-shirt

Zelda shirt from TeeFury today, nice style and colourway.

Another old design from Tilteed, they don’t seem to have released anything new for a while, I’ll drop them an e-mail to ask what is up.

It’s quite hard to tell from the image above, but the skull in this Stupidhurts.us shirt is made of kisses, thus the name ‘Long Kiss Goodnight.’

This tee from Shirt.Woot is surprisingly Anglo-centric, I didn’t know Americans knew the Guy Fawkes story.

Great Gremlins shirt from RIPT today.

OtherTees have a Portal gun sketch up for the next few days.

As someone who enjoys killing time with Angry Birds, I can appreciate this 24tee shirt.

Once again Barbie is a slut at Loviu.

I feel like the Mario image is a little bit awkward on this Catch of the Day Tee shirt, but I do still like the design overall, and I’m not sure how I’d prefer Mario to look, so it’s a bit of an unfair comment.

Japanese -inspired design from Shirt Punch. Man, I’d love to go back to Japan on another holiday.

Ugmonk have released a premium wooden ampersand (that holds itself to a stainless steel base with a super strong magnet) priced at $299 that makes me wish I knew how to use the very expensive CNC that we have in our workshop (for my other job). As someone who has been around wood for his entire life I feel that it is a bit pricey, but then I’m looking at it as a product rather than art, and with it being a limited first run of 15 pieces I can see how that has pushed up the price.

Neighborhood have released a new expensive t-shirt.

Today only you can get 20% off your order at Glamour Kills with the coupon code TRICKORTREAT.

New blogger on HYA Goodfibres have cut the price of their shirts to £15 until November 7th.

PalmerCash have 20 new shirts in stock, presumably these are two of them.

Storenvy are giving away two signed copies of the Thread’s Not Dead book. IATT have all the details, be sure to enter before November 4th.

Wrongwroks have had a big release in their webstore, not many tees so I didn’t think I should give them their own post.

And lastly, your daily reading for t-shirt store owners from Mashable, “How to Time Your Facebook Posts to Reach the Most Fans“.

Post image for Epic Daily Tee Roundup for October 24th: 15 shirts!

Lots and lots of shirts to mention today, and the daily offering will grow tomorrow when another site joins the fray.

Very cool Shaun of the Dead (right?) shirt from TeeFury today.

Wait, is Supernatural really popular? There certainly seems to be a lot of related shirt for it, such as this one at Qwertee.

Last few hours to pick up ‘Get a Job’ at Tilteed.

Ahhh Dr. Mario, that series didn’t last too long, did it? Shirt $12 at Nowhere Bad.

Nice work from Stupidhurts.us, they’ve been impressing me recently.

I suppose that this Shirt.Woot tee will suffice for those days when you don’t want to wear your $35 Johnny Cupcakes shirt in the kitchen.

I think that this is probably one of my favourite Zelda designs, good work RIPT.

Yeah, that works, nice stuff, The Yetee.

It’s funny the Fry & Leela romance storyline causes me to feel more than just about any other show or movie, and it’s on a cartoon, and one of them is a mutant. TeeMinus24.

Oooh, this is timely, what with the Iraq war ‘ending’. $14.99 down from $21.99 at Uneetee.

I don’t watch House, so I don’t get this, but maybe you will. OtherTees.

This shirt from 24tee misses the mark for me, perhaps they and I are just on different wavelengths, but I will keep posting them anyway since I’m sure some of you will like their stuff.

Interesting Mario shirt from TeeRadiers today.

Timely shirt from GraphicLab this week, you won’t get it in time for Halloween, but I think you can wear this all year round. Well, maybe not on Christmas day.

I don’t like the way that the 4 eyes are exactly the same, but this Loviu shirt is interesting nevertheless.

Catch of the Day Tee have nothing on their site today.

doctor who portal t-shirt at teefury

‘Portal Who’ gotta love it when two popular geeky things collide on a t-shirt design. $10 today at TeeFury.

Definitely one of the better Shroedinger’s Cat t-shirts I’ve seen, well done Qwertee.

‘White Stripes’ is not a new design at Tilteed, but it’s good and it’s only $10 today, so that’s pretty cool.

Nice try, Shirt.Woot, but I’m still not going to wear Comic Sans.

Cool shirt from RIPT today, one for the Nintendo fans out there.

Vegetarian zombies, whatever next? TeeMinus24

‘Murder of Crows’ is on insaneetee at Uneetee, $14.99 instead of $24.99 today.

I didn’t understand this shirt originally (I think it must be an American phrase), but the back story is actually fairly interesting (it comes from slaves only working when their masters were around), check it out at 24tee.

I can’t decide if I’ve seen this Loviu shirt before, or if they’ve used the artist before and he has a consistent style, either way, nice shirt.

Daily Tee Roundup October 14th

by Andy on October 14, 2011

teefury hunt for red october

The Hunt for Red October gets the tee treatment by Matt Dearden today at TeeFury.

I can’t remember the last time that I wrote about a shirt from a.mar.illo, but I’m glad that this Tilteed shirt gives me that opportunity.

Scott Pilgrim x Doctor Who? Seeing at my Scott Pilgrim & Doctor Who posts are two of the most popular on HYA, I assume that this Nowhere Bad shirt may do quite well.

It’s cool that Stupidhurts.us print out their new shirts before making them available so we can see the shirt in reality rather than a mockup.

Not a massive fan of this Shirt.Woot design, there’s nothing wrong with it, it’s just a style that doesn’t appeal to me.

Haha! Simple and effective. RIPT

My original Game Boy is still within arms reach right now. I don’t actually play it, I’m just messy. TeeMinus24.

Now this is a classic by Olechka on insaneetee at Uneetee today. $14.99 as usual, down from $24.99.

Cool shirt from 24tee, the reference isn’t immediately apparent, so here’s their description for a little help: “Jerry Garcia, lead guitarist of The Grateful Dead, lost part of his finger as a child in a wood-chopping accident with his brother. That didn’t stop him from becoming one of the greatest guitar players that has ever lived.”

Only when I read that this shirt was called ‘treenagers’ did I warm to it. Loviu.

doctor who costume t-shirt

As far as costume shirts go I think this one could do with more… stuff, it’s a little subtle (even if that subtlety is due to accuracy), but you guys seem to love Doctor Who, so TeeFury are probably onto a winner here.

Mario x Banksy? Shirt.Woot you glorious bastards! I give it a week until this gets stenciled onto a wall.

Hahaha, “The Screamer”, very good work RIPT.

I really like the white on purple colourway from Stupidhurts.us today, looks good.

I’ve decided to add Uneetee into the mix on my daily posts, they don’t release new shirt every day, but they do put a shirt on special offer, and today’s insaneetee is ‘Sacrifice’. Thinking about it, this gorgeous shirt is $19.99 down from $24.99, which is a saving of 20%, but all this week at Uneetee they’re offering 20% off all regularly-priced tees (so this one isn’t included), so there are tees in their store available cheaper.

Nice Dexter/Scream mashup design here from OtherTees.

It’s funny, but who would buy this Loviu shirt?

Daily Tee Roundup September 21st

by Andy on September 21, 2011

nintendo miyamoto t-shirt

I like the idea behind TeeFury‘s offering today, but the artwork isn’t quite there for me. I suppose that’s a harsh critique because they are recreating a TV show logo, but there just seems to be something missing for me.

I get the feeling that this “Stark Industries” t-shirt will look a lot better on a t-shirt rather than in mockup form, as the way that the design has been distressed doesn’t work particularly well in mockup form, but otherwise a solid shirt at RIPT today.

Don’t bother, I’ve already tried, there isn’t really a QR code on this tee from Shirt.Woot, which renders it fairly pointless for me since I think that QR codes are ugly. If you’re in need of blank shirts, or just don’t like designs, in which case I can’t imagine why you’re on this site, the main deal on Woot today is 5 t-shirts of random colour for $7.99 ($12.99 including shipping).

Every time I see Pope Benedict he looks sinister. Pope John Paul II seemed like a good guy, which I feel is pretty much the minimum to be Pope, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard a story about Benedict where I’ve stopped and thought “huh, he seems alright.” £8 today at Qwertee.

Ahhh, TeeMinus24, I may not like your shirt today, but I love the poem you’ve used to describe it:

Sir mix-a-lot like big butts
and he cannot lie
you facebook users can’t deny
when a friend sends you a very funny link
and you want others to know what you think
you click like

OUTSTANDING

I forgot to include Loviu yesterday, whoops! You guys should be on my ass when I make mistakes like that, force me to be a better blogger.

donkey kong t-shirt

Very cool design from RIPT today, it’s surprising that Donkey Kong isn’t featured in more t-shirts considering that he is one of the classic video game characters, and has a name that I think would be just as well-known as Mario and Sonic.

T-shirt from $10, more for a hoodie, onesie, or kids sizes.

{ 0 comments }

zelda t-shirt

It’s *quite* pricey, but cripes is this a great design, and that’s coming from someone who I think has only ever played one Zelda game (the N64 one). King of Games have a license from Nintendo too, so this shirt is 100% sanctioned and 100% wearable. Oh, and a cool product picture too.

Costiness= 4900 yen Buy it at King of Games (various colourways)

ijustine wearing a mario t-shirt

I’m probably not using the word ‘nerdgasm’ right in the title, but then again it’s not really a word, so hopefully you’ll get the gist. Anyway, how amazing is that shirt, looks like something a 10 year-old would wear, but I felt compelled to wear it after spotting it on Hot Girls Wearing T-shirts, a blog which posts exactly what you think it does. I’ve got no idea where the shirt can be bought, anyone?

Mario Brother Plumbing Services

by Andy on January 5, 2010

Naturally, I’d like to see what this tee looks like on an actaul person, or even just the printed tee, especially since they do have the real thing on hand, but the concept is funny enough for me to not let that stand in the way of sharing it with you, because really, who doesn’t love Mario?

The tee comes from Gamerprint who are a new British company who’re making gamer tees that do that thing I like, staying in the in-game universe and presenting it as real, which goes beyond the usual offerings of “game logo on a t-shirt” or “lame slogan about l33t speak on a t-shirt” and gives you something far more wearable. Also, the tees aren’t too expensive for Americans, which is a definite plus for the majority of HYA readers.
