The Totally Radical white t-shirt by Obey @ Karmaloop

I once tried to bring back some words from the 80s into the regular chatter of my circle friends a while back, but it turns out that saying ‘radical’ when you mean that something was ‘good’ wasn’t a radical idea back then and it still isn’t particularly radical. Needless to say, I failed in my mission.

Now this, this looks pretty badass. Kinda looks like leather (actually ‘coated cotton’), has a rock ‘n roll side-zip, and a big flared collar that gives it a bit of a hard-boiled private detective vibe. Tying the straps at the bottom into a bow do bring back a sense of femininity to the occasion though!

Mujer Fatale by Obey @ Karmaloop

Again with the black and white prints, I guess that since they’re starting to fill up my wardrobe it just makes sense that they’d start to fill up the blog!I don’t speak much Spanish (un cerveza, por favor!), but i think that ‘mujer fatale’ might be the Spanish equivalent of ‘femme fatale’ (or not, something to do with context apparently), which kinda explains the image… a hot woman that would probably rip your nuts off if you looked at her wrong.

I’m not to keen on the ‘peace’ text, it seems as if its just been chucked in there for little reason, but I do really like the way that they’ve worked the Obey logo into the scarf.

We all know that Obey are on top of the tree when it comes to streetwear (well, hanging out in the top branches at the very least), and this all-over print is a good example of that. There’s a lot going on, and yet it doesn’t feel all that jarring on the eye, which is something I often find with all-over prints. The three repeating emblems look pretty badass, too.Costiness=$43.99 Link

Rewind track jacket by Obey @ Karmaloop
Just a thought; does anyone make mixtapes for anyone nowadays? Mixtapes on cassettes? Everyone did that. CDs? Yup, and you could even make your own album art too. MP3s? Not so much. Does anyone remember romance?

Obey have a pretty good view from the top of the mountain when it comes to the streetwear world, and with good reason. I like the way that the print happily bounds across the zipper, and the black sits well on top of the heather grey, and I’m always a fan of a funnel neck on a track jacket. I’m not so sure about the bits on top of the shoulders though, what are they called? I get the feeling its something to do with flying or pilots?
