Before I went to Philly I didn’t have any understanding of why people would watch baseball. It just looked so slow, I would put it on TV in my apartment whilst I was working away and it was as if nothing was happening, it was like white noise on the TV. Yes, there were moments of interest, but otherwise even the commentators didn’t seem that interested.

However, when in Rome, do as the Romans do, so me, my main man Tigg and my BPFF (Best Philly Friend Forever) Hillary headed down to Citizens Bank Park to watch the Phillies play some loser team since it was 2-for-1 tickets. We ate hot dogs and drank overpriced Yeungling beer, and shook hands with the old dude next to me when the Phillies hit a homer. Going to watch baseball is not about watching baseball, it’s about hanging out with your friends and having a good time.
Oh, and then there was the time I was invited tail-gating, but didn’t know it so I turned up with nothing, and people were offering me beers and food at every opportunity and being damn friendly, it was awesome, everyone should try being the British guy hanging out in a car park drinking light beer at least once.
Pretty sweet print, too.
