metroid t-shirt teefury

Sorry about the level of disruption to the site at the moment, I’m acting as something of a nightwatchman on a building site for my other job, which does change my schedule around quite a lot as you’d imagine. The other bloggers will hopefully be picking up the slack and I see that Matt & Leah have already posted a couple of great articles.

Metroid gets some attention in the TeeFury shirt above.

Prune juice has never appealed to me, but apparently it appeals to Shirt.Woot.

8-bit Pac Man/Pizza Man t-shirt from Super7

by Andy on February 27, 2012

8 bit pizza man t-shirt

My parents aren’t really into computer games, but I do remember back in the early 90s when we had an Acorn A2000 (yes, I am that old school) that they would obsessively play Pac-Man after I went to bed, I wonder if that has anything to do with how I spend 12+ hours a day with some kind of LCD screen a few feet from my face?

Anyway, Pac Man is still fun and pizza just seems to get better and better, so I like this shirt.

pizza is a vegetable t-shirt

The whole thing about pizza being classed as a vegetable in American school cafeterias really boggles my mind, it’s one of those things that I think gives people more ammo to perpetuate negative stereotypes about Americans when I know that they aren’t true for the vast majority of Americans who are well are that just because something has some tomato sauce on it doesn’t mean it’s a vegetable.

The other two new releases at Snorg this week aren’t bad, but the pizza one is the stand out for me. As usual the shirts are $14.95 from now until the end of the week when they will hit $19.95.

Daily tees & News for December 21st

by Andy on December 21, 2011

star wars firefly t-shirt

Star Wars meets Firefly in this design at TeeFury.

Trust Qwertee to bring out a shirt that is so British.

Shirt Punch put Darth Vader on a playing card and hot damn it looks good.

RIPT have a Star Wars x Wizard of Oz mashup.

Tuxedo Tees do have a bit of retro charm to them, and with this 8-bit version Shirt.Woot have given it an entirely different kind of retro charm.

Nowhere Bad have a fairly generic looking Mario shirt.

DBH really like lions, don’t they?

Loviu have laid a golden egg.

24tee have a slightly depressing meme shirt.

Tilteed give their ‘Joy Ride’ design another release.

RedBubble are offering 20% off all gift certificates for people that may have left it a little late with their Christmas gifts. Use the coupon code WEAREMAD20 to receive the discount.

PalmerCash still have 50% off their gift cards with the coupon code GIFTCARD, but their cut off point for delivering physical things is “12pm Eastern” today. I’m going to take that to mean midday, not midnight.

Threadbird think that now is a great time for store owners to restock their inventory for the New Year, and are offering 35c off per garment. Not a massive amount, but I’m sure no one would say know to a $35 saving on 100 tees.

ghostbusters t-shirt

My internet connection has been misbehaving recently so don’t be surprised if there are less updates on HYA over the next few days.

I think that the pixelation might be my favourite part of this Ghostbusters shirt at TeeFury.

Why would you get a breakfast buffet at night? Or does the text at the bottom mean that they serve breakfast, a buffet at lunch, and then table service in the evening? I can’t help but feel I’m focusing on the wrong aspect of this RIPT shirt.

The Yetee have dropped a mashup shirt for fans of Pokemon and the Evil Dead.

TeeMinus24 are trying to keep everyone happy.

How have I not seen this Star Trek concept before? 24tee

I really like this collage shirt from Loviu.

I think I remember a not-particularly-memorable fighting game where you did climb a totem pole as to cleared the levels, anyone? Cool Street Fighter design from Bamboota at Shirt Punch, and I’m glad they’re going with that big print otherwise the design would have been dwarfed by the rest of the shirt.

Another nice but hard to describe shirt from DBH.

I think this shirt on BustedTees Deal of the Day for $9 makes a lot of sense at Christmas, since it’s the time of year when your parents force you to stop playing Kinect and dust off board games instead. Busted Tees have also extended their sale, use the coupon code CHEAPTEES to get your shirts for $12.99 or less.

Here’s a first for me from Tee Mashups, a Domino’s x Star Wars mashup, well, somebody had to do it, I guess.

Internal Error is the £10 festivitee at origin68.

Shirt.Woot have a depressing t-shirt on sale today.

Stupidhurts.us have a Charlie Chaplin design that I don’t understand, possible explanations in the comments please.

A classic Greg Abbott design is back on sale at Tilteed.

PalmerCash have lots of new t-shirts and yes, that is the guy from breaking Bad.

Sneaky Studio are offering free shipping until the New Year with the coupon code SANTA.

Get 25% off your order at Dephect this month with the coupon code DEC11.

UK XFactor winners Little Mix tweeted a picture of themselves wearing shirts from Truffle Shuffle when they were interviewed by Chris Moyles on Radio 1.

Boing Boing are selling this cool half-knit zombie ski-mask that might confuse a few people on the slopes.

80sTees are giving away this Griswald Family Christmas shirt when you spend $50 or more. [via Rude Retro]

Monster Press are showing off their printing prowess by selling this sample shirt designed by Craig Robson for £5. Monster printed the grey shirt in the HYA store if you’d like to see what their printing is like on a tri-blend.

Among Villains are giving away $150 of goods, check out this Mintees post to see how you can be in the running.

Terratag are offering 25% off until Christmas day, no coupon needed, discount applied automatically at the checkout.

The Pizza Shirt – Dumb or Awesome?

by Andy on November 28, 2011

pizza shirt

I don’t know what to make of a shirt that looks like it’s made of pizza toppings. I definitely wouldn’t wear it, and that makes me think that it’s probably a slice (oh yes I did just say that!) of ironic anti-fashion, but on the other they seem to be fairly serious about this project, soliciting suggestions for the next shirt/flavour to be printed.

Starship Troopers t-shirt

When I first saw Starship Troopers I thought it was awesome because of all the guns and explosions, and even a couple of boobs here and there, but now that I’m an adult I realise that it’s actually a bit smarter than it’s often given credit for. $10 today at TeeFury.

3 new shirts at BustedTees

by Andy on September 3, 2011

I can’t say that I’m massively excited about any of the latest offerings from BustedTees, but if there’s one thing we can say, they do exist.

eternal pizza party

I’ve neglected to mention that my buddy David over at Seibei is trying something new, weekly designs. Alongside the regular catalogue of designs he going to put up something a bit more experimental, such as Eternal Pizza Party, let it pre-sale for a week, then print and ship the orders the week after that. If people like it, that’s great, if they really like it, then the design may well find itself become a bona fide design in the store on a more long-term basis. It’s a way to test out new designs, as well as treat old fans of Seibei shirts that were sent to the farm upstate (where they can play with other old t-shit designs) a long time ago, by offering those designs again, possibly in different colourways.

Frankly, I’m not in love with this weeks design, despite my love of pizza, but maybe some of you guys will like it. It’s $18, and I’m pretty sure that the coupon code HIDEYOURARMS will yield some kind of saving.

There’s no such thing as bad publicity

by Andy on March 21, 2009

delfinatee

This is a bit of an old story, but I still want to mention it. A pizzeria in San Fransisco has printed up some (actually quite cool looking) t-shirts that display all their 1 star reviews from one of my new favourite sites, Yelp. It’s been a great guide for me trying to find places to eat in the city (amongst other things), including, funnily enough, a good pizza place just a couple of blocks from my apartment.

I don’t know what I’d think if I walked into a pizza place and saw the employees wearing tees that said their pies sucked, but I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t inspire me with confidence. Maybe their angle is that by pointing out the bad reviews, they’re pointing out how wrong they are when people eat the pizza?
