Here’s a couple of events going down in the LA (yeah, I know, they get all the cool stuff) and Boston wings of the
Johnny Cupcakes Empire. The best part about these release parties? Johnny Cupcakes will actually be giving out cupcakes for a change!
There’s Something In The Cupcake Mix Series 3
With the recent store opening of Johnny Cupcakes Los Angeles, hundreds of die hard fans flew in from all around the country to sleep on the street of Melrose Ave, awaiting for the grand opening of this coveted brand. Johnny Cupcakes flagship store in Boston is used to this type of excitement from fans.
There’s Something In The Cupcake Mix is a yearly Halloween t-shirt release party. Every year, Johnny Cupcakes releases a series of 4 limited, exclusive, monster-related shirts that sell out quick! This year, they should sell out even quicker. Every shirt is numbered up to 150 — but since we’re splitting them between both shops (Boston + LA) — there will only be 75 shirts of each of the 4 designs. Once they are gone, they are gone forever. All shirts are packaged in cupcake mix boxes, with hidden monster trivia pertaining to each of the monsters, a scratch and sniff sticker on top, as well as sprinkles that you have to dust off of your boxed t-shirt.
Doors don’t open until 9pm, but we suggest you getting there early. Feel free to come days in advance to wait in line with other fans. This year, we’re having all of our customers wear their best costumes to the release. We’re giving out free shirts to the first 100 customers. We’ll also be giving out real cupcakes and other treats throughout the evening. Photos and videos of the events will be posted on JohnnyCupcakes.com.
Doors open at 9pm
Wear your best costume!

From what I’ve been told, the lines will have already started forming for this (crazy!), but maybe if you run down now then you’ll be close enough in line to actually pick up one or two of the limited edition tees.

Another
coupon code, and its for 15%, what a surprise!
I don’t think I’ve ever followed a post with another post that offers exactly the same discount, I’m sure that means nothing to you, but still, I think it’s weird.
This one is a little different in that its an exclusive though. When you’re putting your order through the virtual tills at Lhome’s store just enter the coupon code hideyourarms and you’ll get 15% of all the shirts.
Lhome also have a few new designs up that I’ve been assured are of a higher quality then previous releases (not that I ever heard any complaints about them) in terms of both print and tee quality, which is always good to hear.

I got a chance to meet up with
EIO at
Margin back in February, and it was really great to get hands on with their whole range after reviewing a sample back in October last year. So, with that knowledge in mind, I can tell you with no uncertainty that this latest S/S range is damn fine. The
hoodies were soft and the designs were sharp, and they’ve even started selling some rather nifty looking belts that have their logo stamped onto them. Click on through to see all the new goodies that they’ve got on offer.
Props to EIO for seeming like a great bunch of people, having spoken to them I can really understand the level of passion that they put into what they do, and I think that shows through in this latest collection.

Okay, at the time of writing this posting, there’s no mention of the new line on the
Methods NYC site, but hopefully when this post goes live at 4AM GMT when I’m tucked up in bed dreaming about wonderful t-shirts and
hoodies, it will all be on there for you to get your e-grubby, e-hands on. Hopefully. If not, the totally awesome image above has surely whetted your appetite to check the site out when the new line does become available. If you fancy another tease,
here’s the spring catalogue in jpeg form, but be warned, its a massive image (about 12,000 pixels tall).

So guys, yes or no answer, is it creepy that I spent about 15 minutes making up that collage graphic that includes several pictures of a girl I’ve never met before (there are two pics of Bil in there too)? I’m used to posting pictures of models I’ve never met before, but there was something about making a collage that made me feel slightly stalker-ish.That’s neither here nor there, the important news is that
Divine Clothing released their sixth season, which makes Bill somewhat of a veteran in this industry where new labels pop-up everyday. It’s generally a continuation of his earlier work, no major deviations from the style that he’s become known for. There are also a couple of new interpretations of older designs, such as
this new take on ‘those who love are those who live’, which is pretty damned apt for today.
Tees cost $17, with the new hoody priced at $30, and I think they’re all printed on American Apparel stock.

It feels as if not a month goes by without me mentioning the good work that is being done at Naive Clothing, but after my Star-Wars-nerd blushes were spared by Josh last week over that Pete Wentz
hoodie I figure I owe them one more post.
Something I like about Naive is that everything has a point, the products have a backstory, they have a manifesto/mission statement that they actually actually believe in, and they don’t want to get rich… and they’re literally putting their moeny where their mouth is on that one, by supporting six organisations with their Our Profit for their Profit programme.
There’s a lot of great stuff in their super-fresh Spring/Summer line, lots and lots of new tees, with some great designs in there. If I hadn’t banned myself from buying tees (one of my few addictions) then I’d have quite the shopping basket. But HYA is about the sleeves, so let’s get back on track.
There are 2 new sleeved products available (1 hoodie and 1 track jacket) in the Spring/Summer line, on the left is ‘Extension of Grasp‘ ($33), and has a great red/white contrast. The hoodie on the right, called ‘Outlet‘ ($30), may seem a bit familiar to fans of the O.C., but I guess that any hoodie with an electrical outlet on it will be compared to the Option-G take on the plug-socket, and I prefer Naive’s anyway.
