McFly’s Guitar & Amp Repairs

Back to the Future T-shirt

McFly’s Guitar & Amp Repairs
Guitars seem to be a recurring theme through the first BTTF. The guitar in the design is the model Marty uses in the opening scene when he blows up the huge amp (that’s why the volume knob goes up to 11!). He goes on to play a vintage Gibson on stage at the Enchantment Under The Sea Ball, and also plays guitar in High School auditions.

Well, at least we know that Ruby Red has done his research!

movie cars t-shirt

Movie mashup tees are always popular, and I imagine that this one might be too. At the risk of embarrassing myself once again, I’m going to try and identify the famous movie cars hat have been turned into Chuck Taylors for this design from Ruby Red Design (who are a HYA advertiser). From left to right, Dukes of Hazzard,The A-Team, Starsky and Hutch, and Herbie…. nailed it!

The Rat Pack by RubyRed

rat pack las vegas t-shirt

You know what brings out the rats in Las Vegas? Walking down the strip with someone that isn’t your girlfriend. Swarms of drunk guys with luminous drinks slung around their necks converge on you… and then, and I assume this happens to everyone, a midget arrives in a limo to try and convince you to go to a club. Vegas is weird. Pretty cool t-shirt though, I can’t decide whether I’d liked to see it coloured in, or if it would work better in monochrome, thoughts?

Costiness=£16.16 Buy it at RedBubble (they’ve got a deal on at the moment for free shipping when you buy 4 tees)

202 Star Wars T-Shirts [Lists]

by Andy on July 16, 2009

I think that you’d be pretty hard pressed to find a series of movies that have gained as much of a following as Star Wars, and as you’d expect that has resulted in a huge amount of t-shirts being produced that reference the films in one way or another. So, being HYA, I thought that I’d better make an unnecessarily large list of them. As always, the t-shirts are not ranked, the numbers are merely there as an illustration so that we all know which is which, so being #1 or #202 means nothing. Some of these tees will be pretty recognisable as they’ve been featured on HYA before, and some were also in the 101 Robots List from last month, but if you know of any I haven’t featured then please let me know in the comments. The list has also been split up into pages to ensure swift loading times (my server may probably wouldn’t like people loading 202 pictures at a time).

As you would expect these lists take quite a long time (this one took about 30 hours, seriously), so if you deem it worthy, it would be fantastic if you could promote this article in any way. Twitter, Delicious, StumbleUpon, Digg, your own blog, carve the URL onto a tree, anything!
