Post image for “Mitt Romney Hates Puppies” T-shirt from Urban Outfitters

You know what I find most interesting about this shirt? It comes from Urban Outfitters, a company whose CEO and co-founder Richard Hayne is an ardent Republican. I know that business is business, but you’d have thought that having shirts that are against ‘your guy’ would be a bit of a no-no for him.

I suppose that I should have as much disdain for this shirt as all the other election shirts out there which will look dated next year (presuming we’ve all forgotten about Mittens by then), but it’s ridiculousness made me smile.

Post image for “This place is beautiful” t-shirt by Not Naked For A Reason

Isn’t that just lovely? Really nice design with a positive message that has just made my day feel that little bit better, and if a t-shirt can manage that then it’s doing something right.

sexy and i know it t-shirt

I actually quite like the LMFAO-themed ‘sexy and I know it’ shirt from Goodie Two Sleeves, it but only if it were being worn by someone that wasn’t sexy and was well aware of that fact (aka not girls who think they’re hot but really aren’t). I get the feeling that’s what goodie are aiming for since they’re trying so hard to de-hottify their model.

Wrongworks say hello to Mr. Wrong

by Andy on May 11, 2012

mr. wrong t-shirt

By their own admission, this Wrongwroks shirt based on a song written by someone who is presumably very famous in Hong Kong (Wyman Wong) is pretty simple, but I still like it.

tshirt laundry may 7th releases

I had to look it up, but the Capitol City t-shirt is apparently a Hunger Games reference, I still haven’t seen the film, so I guess I’ll have to catch it on DVD now. The magnets shirt will appeal to science fans, but my favourite of the week is “let’s get weird” which sounds like a failed catchphrase from a late-90s sitcom. Pretty nice bunch from Tshirt Laundry this week.

felix t-shirt

These shirts from Goodie Two Sleeves were actually released on Friday, but they’re all still available and if you haven’t seen them before they might as well be new, so enjoy! My personal favourite is the green reptile shirt, it’s just cute.

build bridges not walls t-shirt

I like the new ‘Build Bridges‘ design from Random Objects, it may be simple, restrained, and just a one-colour print, but it’s the kind of shirt that I really like to wear. Good to see Origami Pigeon make a return too, even if it’s just for a short time as when it sells out it won’t be making a return, and that bag looks pretty nifty too, though not the kind of thing that I’d buy.

New at Local Celebrity

by Andy on April 12, 2012

new t-shirts at Local Celebrity

The designs that Local Celebrity sell, especially this latest batch, aren’t the typical HYA style, but I feel compelled to post them since the quality of the shirts is fantastic, the samples I was sent a few years ago still look and feel great, and that has to be respected.

T-shirt news for March 26th

by Andy on March 26, 2012

I find it kind of odd that people would want to wear the mascot for an operating system, but this shirt from TeeFury ain’t too bad.

Shirt.Woot revamp the original cute cat poster.

I like The IT Crowd, I have a NES under my TV, and I like t-shirts. I like this from RIPT. Pretty sure I’ve written about this design in the past…

Three new funny designs at SnorgTees

by Andy on March 16, 2012

funny snorgtees

I’m sure I’ve seen that Star Wars x Skyrim design somewhere before, or something similar at least. My favourite tee of the week at snorgtees is the “Every Day I’m Trufflin'” design, as someone that will put truffle oil on my pasta whether it needs it or not (…it always needs it) I wholeheartedly approve of that little piggy’s mission.

snorgtees new releases

Favourite of the new releases at Snorg this week for me is the ‘One Smart Cookie’ design, I just really like the little guys glasses.

harlan t-shirt

Glarkware seem to be a bit random in when they release their shirts, or at least they’re a bit random when they send out their newsletters. They’re going to start running something called ‘Now or Never’ in which shirt designs are only available for a month after which they will be “shot into the very sun itself using our very expensive shirt cannon.” The two shirts above are the two tees that will only be available in March.

You can also get the rather unusual figure of 17% off your order (provided you spend $25 or more) using the coupon code STP1712 from now until March 19th.

Two excellent new tees from Random Objects

by Andy on February 27, 2012

we must sail and not drift t-shirt

‘Jack of All Trades Masters of None’ is the latest design from the ever-excellent Random Objects, and the fun part about this tee is that it actually comes with two #2 pencils which I think is a really neat touch that does add to the experience. The anchor shirt has previously been seen on a crew-neck jumper and now makes it’s debut as a tee, and mighty fine it looks too. You can pick it up for $24, or $26 for the Jack of All Trades tee (I guess that the pencils push the price up a little).

“State of Mind” t-shirt by Higgins & Ith

by Andy on February 10, 2012

higgins & ith t-shirt

Can anybody help me decipher what on earth this is meant to say. Please explain it as if I am a child that can be easily distracted. I kind of like the design, the company of quotes on tees works pretty well for me, I just don’t understand it!

Four new shirts from DPCTED

by Andy on November 7, 2011

pop punk isn't dead t-shirt

I like the style that DPCTED have got going on, bold phrases saying chubby people are A-OK, but sweet Jesus I wish that they would have put the apostrophes in on these designs. I don’t feel like I’m being too much of a grammar Nazi by asking that something should be spelled correctly. Also, I think that the designs would work better without their URL at the bottom of the screen, but I understand that they feel the need to get their name out there in that way.

There had been quite a lot of talk in the past about DPCTED not sending out orders and having generally poor customer service. I think that was mostly down to the original owner being overwhelmed by orders and then selling the brand, in the transition phase things seem to have gotten a little messy. Hopefully all that is behind them now and that can move onto the important business of pushing the rotund agenda.

All the shirts are $23.95, available now, and you can get 10% off with the coupon code HYA10.
