space invaders

I really like that Space Invaders shirt, but part of me wishes they offered it on a black shirt too, for those of us that ruin white shirts with our sloppy pasta eating habits.

As usual new shirts at Snorg are $5 off this week, making them $14.95 until Sunday.

T-shirt news for January 26th

by Andy on January 26, 2012

star wars argyle t-shirt

Very nice argyle Star Wars t-shirt today at TeeFury.

Seems to me like this is the kind of design that Shirt.Woot should have been selling in the run up to Christmas.

RIPT drop a Milton Glaser-inspired Doctor Who t-shirt.

Harry Potter Muggle Ale shirt at Qwertee.

Those troublesome Tribbles are at Shirt Punch today.

Skyrim is the inspiration for this Nowhere Bad shirt.

I have no idea what the inspiration is for this design at The Yetee.

Star Wars meets Firefly today at OtherTees (who have a snazzy new site).

TeeRaiders have a Doctor Who design as well.

24tee go for the niche with one of the stars of the (surprisingly enthralling) King of Kong coin-op games documentary.

DBH love owls. On that subject, I saw a man walking down the street with an owl yesterday. Owls are great.

Hey look, Tilteed are selling one of their lesser seen designs again.

I have no idea what the kanji (presuming it’s Japanese) on this shirt says, so buyer beware at TeeMinus24.

Tee Gazette have put together their 10 favourite tees from the Storenvy marketplace for January.

Sock Monkee have released their Ampertastic Mr. Fox design as a print.

Adam over at IAMTHETREND busts six commonly held myths about his employer Storenvy.

Wrongwroks have released a parka with a faux fur trim.

Threadless have made some tees available to be put on Xbox avatars, and they cost about $1 each, but here’s the real kicker, if you want a hoodie you have to pay $2. They’re pixels, just because it costs double in real life doesn’t mean that they should cost double on the Xbox marketplace!

Glennz has made some more designs available as hoodies.

Mashable have a guide to building a strong online community around your brand.

Everything is on sale at Myth Clothing.

This Rihanna ‘thug life’ tattoo picture has been doing the rounds, but it’s her John Lennon t-shirt that interests me the most.

Here’s Katy Perry wearing a pretty cool hoodie (and I suspect a cool skull-based all over print t-shirt too).

Buy one get one free (on tees, not hoodies) at Eleven Eleven.

Typography Shop have put all their hoodies on sale.

Sehubabe have released a hoodie and t-shirt for Transardentes 2012 (a Belgian electro rock festival).

TanDan have been added as a brand store at A Better Tomorrow.

Very cool Space Invaders shirt from TeeFury today.

‘The birthplace of inspiration’ is up at Shirt.Woot today.

8-bit Back To The Future? Yes please, RIPT.

Fairly obscure Terminator design at Shirt Punch today.

Nowhere Bad reminds of another badass facet of Lincoln’s character.

TeeMinus24 bring out a pop art inspired Admiral Ackbar shirt.

24tee have a shirt for hipsters.

Shirt with a wolf on it at DBH.

I’m sure that TeeBlitz have sold this design before, and it’s a little odd that the time remaining for the design is “-359 days”, but hopefully that doesn’t mean there’s trouble at TeeBlitz.

Loviu wheel out this older design.

Oldie-but-goodie at Tilteed today.

Get 30% off at Seventh.Ink this weekend with the coupon code NEWYEAR2012. [via TeeGazette]

Labyrinth Clothing have a page on The Fancy, and if you ‘fancy’ (the equivalent of ‘like’ on Facebook) any item in their store you’ll unlock a 20% off coupon code.

Jeff has shared a few teasers of the his design process on Ugmonk‘s next design.

The UTee just launched a new design. Feel free to go and check it out, but don’t forget which is your favourite tee blog!

Mashbale has a post on how to maximize sales with your ecommerce design.

Here’s Miley Cyrus wearing a Pink Floyd t-shirt, I’m sure that will annoy no one.

Tonka Park are selling two of their popular Big Cartel themes at $25 off, making them $50 each for a limited time. Use coupon code THELBL2012 to get $25 off The Label, and DECMBR2012 for $25 off the December theme.

May I suggest that you advertise on HYA? Options available to suit all budgets.

And that’s the news for today!

Daily Tee Roundup October13th

by Andy on October 13, 2011

fight club t-shirt

I see where this ‘I am Jack’ Fight Club-inspired shirt is coming from, but TeeFury‘s shirt of the day just isn’t exciting me, it would probably look better printed so I may not be giving it a fair shake.

Definitely digging what Qwertee have got going on today, really nicely put together.

Lovely shirt by our man Randyotter at Tilteed today.

Well that’s not creepy at all, Stupidhurts.us.

Not something I’d wear from Shirt.Woot today, but if you’re in the mood for a Halloween shirt you could do a lot worse.

I’ve never played Oregon Trail, so this shirt from RIPT is a bit lost on me, but still funny nevertheless.

‘Midnight Howl’ is the insaneetee deal at Uneetee, down to $14.99 from $26.99.

24tee really do like their 8-bit deisgns, huh?

Really nice shirt from Loviu to finish with today.

Coupon code for 21% off in the HYA Store!

by Andy on February 25, 2011

Hide Your Arms Space Invader

I have a problem when it comes to trying to raise the profile of Hide Your Arms. I don’t like spam, and I don’t want to spam you guys. I see brands talking about themselves 24/7 and it can get a little embarrassing, and I don’t want to be that, so when I launched the Facebook Likes Promotion last week I did it with some hesitation. I know this is the nature of the game, you have to tell people things repeatedly to perhaps get them to suggest Hide Your Arms to their friends on Facebook, but it’s not something I’m particularly comfortable with since I rarely do it myself, hell I don’t like to ask my own friends to like HYA on Facebook, so why should I expect people I don’t know to do it?

If you helped HYA gain some new fans I am very, very grateful, thank you for helping this site grow and reach more people, the bigger it gets, the more time I can afford to spend working on HYA and putting together those ridiculous lists that inevitably make the site crash. If you didn’t help by suggesting HYA to your friends, that’s cool too, like I said above, I understand, and I appreciate you taking the time to visit the site regularly.

So the promotion wasn’t hugely successful, though I was pretty proud that we broke the 2,000 likes barrier, it was sitting under that number which gave me the idea to even have this promo push, so at least we achieved that, and I was probably a bit deluded thinking that the amount of fans would jump up by hundreds simply because there aren’t that many fans, though if I keep coming up with articles like the Scott Pilgrim one earlier in the week then I’m sure that the fan base will grow.

Okay, enough teasing, I promised you a coupon code and that’s what I’m going to give you. Use the coupon code HYALOVESYOU to receive a 21% discount in the Hide Your Arms store on any of the items, hoodies, t-shirts (the stock is low though, remember), pin badges and stickers. This coupon code will be live until Sunday at midnight GMT… unless I forget to turn it off, in which it will be some random time after that.

I’m going to a medieval wedding this weekend (you read that right), and them I’m off on another work trip on Monday/Tuesday, so all orders placed using this coupon code in the Hide Your Arms store will be shipped out by 1st class Royal Mail on Wednesday. Next week I expect to finally have the 5th anniversary posters in the store, I did some test prints on a photocopier to test sizes, and even in terrible resolution and in grayscale print they looked good, so I can’t begin to imagine how mindblowingly nice the real thing will be!

Space Invaders + American Flag = Cool T-shirt

by Andy on September 14, 2010

space invaders t-shirt

You’d be the best dressed person at a Tea Party rally wearing this shirt! Am I the only person that sees a political angle to this shirt, it robably wasn’t Headline Shirts intention, but nevertheless I can be seen that way if you wish… or it can just be a cool tee.

space invaders t-shirt

I was happy to see Threadless repirnt this popular design, I like the concept, if only because it means I can daydream about the meeting they’re holding “so guys, just move from side to side and dropping down ever-so slowly, it’s the perfect plan, there’s no way we’ll lose.”

space invaders parody t-shirt

I know this is a little late for Valentines, but restricitng romance to one day a year is ridiculous, I’m not a believer in Valnetine’s Day and all the cliche’s around it, but it does work quite well as an excuse to go over the top showering your loved one with sweet gifts.

Also, Space Invaders parody shirts are always cool.

Space Invader Hoodie(!) by Split Reason

by Andy on January 7, 2010

As you can tell from that exclamation mark, I’m a little bit excited about this hoodie, so clearly my Space Invaders addiction shows no sign of being alleviated.

The big sewn-on Space Invader graphic on the front doesn’t actually do a whole lot for me, it’s rather normal, though as I am a fan I would still probably wear it. For me, the best part of this hoodie can be found inside the hood, where there’s that wonderful patterned lining. There’s also a custom zipper pull that’s cool, I would have preferred to see a cut-out of an invader, though that’s probably not particularly practical.

Costiness=$69.95 Buy the Re-Invaded Zip hoody @ SplitReason.com

Space Invaders Cushions!

by Andy on September 29, 2009

il_430xN.92616161

You obviously can’t wear these, but my head pops up like a meerkat when I hear the words ‘space’ and ‘invaders’ said in very close proximity to one-another, and I know a lot of you are the same so there was no way I wasn’t going to give these cushions a quick mention. What you can’t tell from the picture above (but can see in the gallery), is that the actual aliens are made up of an alien pattern, further increasing the level of Space Invaders awesomeness in these cushions. It is $45 for a single patchwork cushion cover, so they aren’t particularly cheap, but I guess quite a lot of work goes into making a patchwork anything.

Costiness=$45 Available from VoodooRabbit’s Etsy store

Space In Vader by Super Combo

by Andy on August 10, 2009

Star Wars x Space Invaders T-shirt

Ever since finishing that epic Star Wars t-shirt list I keep finding more Star Wars tees, but I’m not inclined to write another huge list about them at the moment (don’t worry, there are more large lists on the way). Anyway, yes, Star Wars and Space Invaders became friends, nervously held hands, then some sexy stuff happened, and 9 months later they had a beautiful t-shirt together.

5 new characters to love at Tolky Monkys

by Andy on December 13, 2008

Tolky Monkys have hit the nail on the head once again with their character-based designs, this time incorporating Space Invaders into one of the tees, which as well all know practically guarantees them a place in my heart, as if they weren’t there already. Catch the rest of the designs in the gallery.
