Cool kids t-shirts by Antonio Ladrillo

Post image for Cool kids t-shirts by Antonio Ladrillo

You may remember me mentioning the lo-fi zombie tees by Antonio Ladrillo earlier this year, well he’s back and this time he’s gone a bit friendlier with a couple of t-shirts designed for kids. They’re available in sizes for kids that are 2/4/6 years old and available now on his site.

Post image for Darth Vader hits Dr. UEEE as a tee and sweatshirt

I like Dr. UEEE, but their latest design is just too close for me to be comfortable with in terms of copyright, I know I can be hypocritical when it comes to intellectual property on HYA (posting things I know I shouldn’t simply because I like them) but that was the first thing I thought when I saw this shirt (also, available as a sweatshirt, which I believe is a first for them).

Pweye Slim-fit tees for women [Submitted]

Eco-friendly duo from Cadiz, Pweye have added two more slimfit t-shirts to the range. The brand was released in January this year and features unique original designs on EarthPositive tees.

Andy: Cool looking tees printed on t-shirts that are actually good for the planet? I’m in! Important to note that they do sell t-shirts for guys too, but that the two tees pictured are newly available on slim-fit lady-shaped shirts.

batman t-shirt

So, The Dark Knight Rises has been out for just under 6 hours here in the UK, and that means that we are 6 hours into a very tense week of my life as I try to avoid spoilers and discussion about the film until July 28th when I get to the IMAX for the full experience. Frankly, I think I will fail, not because I am week but because I spend 8+ hours a day on the internet working and it’s hard for me to avoid any pop culture stuff. Hell, my entire knowledge of Doctor Who comes from t-shirts and I can just about pass as a fan now.

spain euro 2012 t-shirt

I’m actually getting pretty excited for Euro 2012, not because I think England will win (let’s be honest, that isn’t going to happen), but because it’s been about 3 weeks since there was football on TV and I think I’m getting withdrawal symptoms. I can understand why Dr. UEEE are excited about the Euros, because they will likely be enjoying the sweet taste of success when Spain lift the cup in a few weeks time.

I’m not really sure where this one sits regarding copyright, anyone?

mazinger t-shirt

Can’t decide if I like this new shirt from Dr. UEEE, I’m sure that if I saw the real thing I’d think it was cool but in this mockup form it’s hard to tell. Available now for 19€. Thoughts?

Bender from Futurama hits Dr. UEEE

by Andy on March 13, 2012

bender futurama t-shirt

I think that Dr. UEEE have changed Bender’s features significantly enough for me to have any copyright fears quashed, though I’m not a lawyer I’m just going with my gut. I’m surprised that more brands don’t do Futurama t-shirts since it’s such a popular show, but then I do wonder why there are so few Family Guy shirts out there too when that’s a show that has a lot of in-jokes and people love putting interpretations of in-jokes onto tees.

Malgusto, the Spanish brand which makes movie based T-shirts, releases two new designs based on “Apocalypse Now” and the Peter Jackson masterpiece: “Bad Taste”. Both include an exclusive pinback button for free.

Andy: Very nice as usual from Malgusto.

cheshire cat t-shirt

I know it’s a few years ago, but it’s worth mentioning, that Alice In Wonderland movie a few years ago was pretty neat, much like this t-shirt.

Lo-fi zombie t-shirts from Antonio Ladrillo

by Andy on January 4, 2012

zombie t-shirts

I don’t think that I’ve ever seen zombie t-shirts like this before. Antonio Ladrillo is an illustrator from Barcelona, Spain, that recently released this interesting mini-collection of tees featuring simple and colourful faces of zombies. Each is available for 29€ in his store, which is more than I’d usually pay for a t-shirt, but then again I rarely buy t-shirts so my view of the value of a shirt is fairly distorted by now.

zombie school t-shirt

Even though the text on this shirt is in Spanish I think that it looks cool enough to transcend language barriers.

“Flash Camera! t-shirt by Dr. UEEE

by Andy on November 10, 2011

polaroid camera t-shirt

I like the design on this shirt by Spanish company Dr. UEEE, but I feel that they’ve tarnished the experience somewhat with the edition of that large registered symbol (I wonder whether their designs are actually registered trademarks) and also putting their name and a tagline underneath it. It cheapens the tee for me, if people like your shirt they will ask where you got it from, the name doesn’t need to be written on for all to see. It’s disappointing because I really do like the design (and the rest of their designs too), but it’s a total turn off for me.

“New Job?” t-shirt from Lola Camisetas

by Andy on October 14, 2011

magician t-shirt

I can’t decide if this is meant to be a commentary on the economic situation in the EU, or just a cute deisgn, I’m leaning towards the latter.

Lola Camisetas apparently love the Bee Gees

by Andy on September 16, 2011

bee gees t-shirt

Whilst I can’t see myself ever wearing a shirt with a Bee Gees song on it, this style of shirt and the white print on red do look pretty cool.

Costiness=€11.95 Buy it at LolaCamisetas

laminimal t-shirt

To be honest I don’t really get the meaning behind this shirt, perhaps it’s a play on ‘thinking outside the box’, but I don’t mind, I like the look of the shirt and like the pale yellow being the backdrop to that big black square.

Mister Black Tee

Good shirts at a good price (€10 off the regular cost). No ide how long this one will be lasting so it would be a good idea to get yourself off to Mister Black Tee sooner rather than later.
