sloth goonies t-shirt

I’m not too excited by the Sloth & Crossbones Goonies shirt at TeeFury today, you?

Very cute illustration style on this Shirt.Woot tee, maybe this shirt will perk you up to stick with your New Year’s resolutions?

Not the kind of Star Wars t-shirt that I’d wear, but a pretty cool concept from RIPT nonetheless.

Can anyone explain to me why The Yetee are describing this felines as pizzacats?

Very cool Fantastic Mr. Fox inspired t-shirt at Shirt Punch today.

GraphicLab have a shirt that is a little lost on me, it’s a mashup of The Impossible Man from the Marvel universe and Magnitude from Community.

Star Trek inspired visual pun from TeeMinus24 today.

I’m fairly sure that this TeeRaiders design is the first Warehouse 13 shirt that I’ve seen. give this well worn phrase another run out.

Qwertee make a connection between Portal and zombies.

We don’t have Fresca over here in the UK, so this 24tee shirt is wasted on me.

Co-Tee TV Episode 88: Moustardche, Javaboi Industries, and Hot Dogs from Coty Gonzales on Vimeo.

Coty has a new episode of Co-Tee TV up, featuring Moustardache, Javaboi Industries, and Hot Dogs.

Tee Hunter take a look at the A Bathing Ape x Star Wars collection.

Fuel Your Creativity have an article about starting a clothing line with no money. It does make it all seems a little easy in my eyes, but there are worse stepping off points.

2sickbastards have got up to 50% off their art prints until January 13th.

Snapback hats are now in store at Glamour Kills.

ghostbusters t-shirt

My internet connection has been misbehaving recently so don’t be surprised if there are less updates on HYA over the next few days.

I think that the pixelation might be my favourite part of this Ghostbusters shirt at TeeFury.

Why would you get a breakfast buffet at night? Or does the text at the bottom mean that they serve breakfast, a buffet at lunch, and then table service in the evening? I can’t help but feel I’m focusing on the wrong aspect of this RIPT shirt.

The Yetee have dropped a mashup shirt for fans of Pokemon and the Evil Dead.

TeeMinus24 are trying to keep everyone happy.

How have I not seen this Star Trek concept before? 24tee

I really like this collage shirt from Loviu.

I think I remember a not-particularly-memorable fighting game where you did climb a totem pole as to cleared the levels, anyone? Cool Street Fighter design from Bamboota at Shirt Punch, and I’m glad they’re going with that big print otherwise the design would have been dwarfed by the rest of the shirt.

Another nice but hard to describe shirt from DBH.

I think this shirt on BustedTees Deal of the Day for $9 makes a lot of sense at Christmas, since it’s the time of year when your parents force you to stop playing Kinect and dust off board games instead. Busted Tees have also extended their sale, use the coupon code CHEAPTEES to get your shirts for $12.99 or less.

Here’s a first for me from Tee Mashups, a Domino’s x Star Wars mashup, well, somebody had to do it, I guess.

boardwalk empire t-shirt

Hope everyone had a good weekend, I did, during my snowboarding lesson at the dry slope it started to snow!

I can’t be the only person that feels kind of scared when this guy comes on screen during Boardwalk Empire, right? Definitely some fine acting going on there. TeeFury.

RIPT have a shirt that I’m sure will not anger any Star Wars or Star Trek fans.

Daily Tees & News for December 2nd

teefury highlander t-shirt

When I opened all the daily sites today (21 tabs, Firefox doesn’t care for that much) I wondered whether I’d actually get to see the TeeFury site. Thankfully it turned up, so any possible malware that may have existed yesterday appears to have been removed and all is right with the world again. I remain disappointed by the response from TeeFury about the issue, it took them at least 13 hours to acknowledge any kind of problem (done by their Facebook page), and they only wrote about it after the warning message had been removed. They posted this message on Twitter at the same time as the Facebook message: “If you had trouble reaching earlier, try now! We’ve addressed the issue that was causing problems:″ That link now goes to a 404 page. Frankly, that is not good enough, if you might be exposing your fans to malware via your site you have to tell people by every avenue about the issue and warn them as soon as possible, not when you’ve fixed the problem, and you should make some kind of mention of it when you send out a newsletter that day (presumably to thousands of people). I still like TeeFury and will continue to write about them, but I do not like the way they dealt with this situation.

Nerd joke at RIPT today.

Daily Tee & News Roundup for November 23rd

by Andy on November 23, 2011

star trek t-shirt

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s amazing that there aren’t more Star Trek t-shirts around. $10 today at TeeFury.

I like the name of this shirt, ‘Vinyl Frontier,’ almost as much as I like the design. $10 today at Tilteed.

Very nice Doctor Who t-shirt from Nowhere Bad today.

I’m not sure if this shirt at is a Deadmau5 reference or not, but I like it.

Not my favourite Shirt.Woot design ever but it definitely fits with their style.

I’m fairly sure there are a lot of people that would like this RIPT version of Battlestar Battleship to be a real thing.

Awesome shirt at The Yetee today, who would have thought that “Star Wars x crappy Christmas sweaters” would be such a good concept for a design?

And here I was thinking that all the “people whose names are also a state” had been done, well done 24tee.

TeeRaiders are dropping a Firefly design today.

Loviu really liked The Dark Knight, presumably.

Catch of the Day Tee provide us with our second Doctor Who shirt for Wednesday.

Shirt Punch seem to be the only company that have realised The Muppets are really popular at the moment.

Very pretty design from DBH today.

Let me remind you that Rigu is a thing I launched last week and it would be brilliant if you could check it out.

Glennz has released a desktop calendar for 2012 featuring some of his favourite designs.

80sTees satisfy my thirst for Seinfeld t-shirts with this George Costanza ‘Professional Hand Model’ tee. for $22.

Monsieur Steve is offering 20% off in his store today only with the coupon code onlytoday, though you do have to spend €70 to qualify for the saving.

PLNDR have up to 55% off goods from Mishka NYC.

A few months back on I Am The Trend Monique from Antisparkle featured “3 Affordable and Creative Branded Packaging Ideas” that I’m sure store owners will want to take a look at.

I didn’t mean for this to turn into a daily roundup for store owner resources, but I’ve been finding some good stuff recently, here’s “Five Copywriting Errors That Can Ruin A Company’s Website” from Smashing Magazine.

Mashable have 7 Tips to Make Your Blog Stickier. A lot of shirt brands have a blog that this info can apply to, but it’s important to note that a lot of the tips apply to non-blog content too.

Kissmetrics have a super guide to marketing using Twitter, and also a post with a guy claiming to have a 2% bounce rate which if you know your bounce rates you know is astoundingly low.

I Am The Trend’s Black Friday List is up and it has more than 80 brands on it, crazy! My initial list will be up in a few hours.

Daily Tee & News Roundup for October 31st

by Andy on October 31, 2011

free hugs t-shirt

Hmmm, something seems a little fishy about this offer of free hugs at TeeFury.

Qwertee are giving us a realistic version of Sonic the Hedgehog (with Tails and Knuckles too).

Nowhere Bad have a Blade Runner themed shirt available.

Great image from Shirt.Woot.

Huh, not often that you get one Sonic design in a week, but thanks to The Yetee this is our second of the day.

TeeMinus24 have a Zombieland-themed shirt referencing the different ‘rules’ that Jesse Eisenberg has for surviving a zombie apocalypse.

I’m fairly addicted to Reddit, so I like this shirt from 24tee.

Mario Boos design from TeeRaiders today.

GraphicLab themselves admit that this style of shirt has been done to death, but ‘hopefully evil’ is something I haven’t seen before.

Shirt Punch give us the most explicitly Halloween themed shirt of the day with ‘Monster Mash.’

RIPT have a cool Mario-inspired shirt today. Is he fighting the power? Is Mario the 99%?

Vaughn de Heart have got a new look website and to celebrate they’re offering 30% off from now until November 6th with the coupon code Forza.

Mashable have got 10 reasons why your website could be costing you sales. Some of these things are pretty obvious, but I think all store owenrs should give them a quick look to get them thinking about their site.

TSHIRT STORE released a slew of great new tees, I think I’d wear every single one, which can’t be a bad thing.

As someone who writes for a living a post called ‘SEO for Non-Dicks‘ got my attention, and whilst SEO bores me to tears, it is unfortunately something that we people of the internet need to know about to get ahead, and that includes t-shirt site owners.

Daily Tee Roundup October 6th

by Andy on October 6, 2011

Star Trek red shirts warning

Fun shirt from Ian Leino at TeeFury, but the name of the design “he’s dead, Jim” only conjures up a vision of one man who passed away today, and he’s not called Jim.

Nowhere Bad dig further and bring a design out of the Star Wars mine and out into the fresh air.

I don’t really get why the tanks are in halftone but Gandalf is a solid colour? Nice try,, but it’s just not working for me today.

I’m sure that there is a lot of people that will like today’s Shirt.Woot design, but I can’t count myself amongst them.

I must admit that I’ve never read ‘A light in the Attic’ and thus the reference is somewhat lost on me, but that typework looks awfully awkward to me, which is a pity because the graphic itself is really well done.

I think that The Yetee need an award for the most niche shirt of the week. Locane is a fictional poison used in The Princess Bride by William Goldman.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous t-shirt from Loviu today, and a nice little nod to Beatles fans in there too.

This is the insaneetee deal at Uneetee today, dropping from $26.99 to $14.99, pretty sweet deal.

I had high hopes for 24tee after first showing them yesterday, but even with their hearts in the right place (as I’m sure they are), I find the notion of a Steve Jobs t-shirt to be in poor taste and I assume I’m not alone. That said, I am quite glad that I can feature him on the blog in some way, since I still have a Performa 450 in the attic (turns out my parents were ahead of their time), and I am inseparable from my iPhone.

objects in space t-shirt

Seeing this shirt has made me realise something, why aren’t there more shirts out there about Futurama?

$10 today only at TeeFury

star trek t-shirt

Ha, that dog think’s it’s a member of Starfleet!

From $10 today at RIPT

star wars stormtrooper crossbones t-shirt If I were to link to every shirt up there in the gallery I think I’d be here all night, so I’m just going to point you to the main Mighty Fine site and hunt them down yourself, their navigation is pretty good. Loads of cool shirts in this release, as I’ve said before Mighty Fine seem to be really good with treating their licenses with a lot of respect with the aim of satisfying fans rather than making a quick buck off slapping a logo on a shirt.

star wars vs. star trek t-shirt

It’s surprising how few t-shirts there are dealing with the eternal debate of Star Wars vs. Star Trek. Of course, people are allowed to like both, but it is natural to compare the two most popular sci-fi franchises. “Beam This!” is available at 604Republic for $19.95, you can buy it here.

Did anyone catch the new Doctor Who episode on Saturday (I’m not sure if it has been on in the US yet)? I find myself being pulled more and more towards the DW universe, so I think I’m going to have to put some of the 2005 series on my LoveFilm list and get into it soon. “Intoxicate” is also $19.95 and is available from 604Republic now.

star trek t-shirt

Ha, they made that lady green.

You’ve got about 11 hours (at the time of writing) to pick up this shirt at TeeFury.

star trek hoodie

It feels like the whole internet is going crazy for two things right now (three if you include porn); GaGa’s meat dress, and this Star Trek referencing hoodie from Threadless. It’s one of the cleverest uses of a zipper that I’ve seen for a long time, so hopefully you’ll excuse the hyperbole in the title. Also, because it’s ‘Ziptember’ if you order this hoodie, or any hoodie at Threadless, you’ll get free shipping on your order (anywhere in the world).

Costiness=$40 Buy it at Threadless

I’m sure that when most of you look at this tee from ThinkGeek you’ll probably be reminded of The Big Bang Theory (I may be overestimating the popularity of that show a bit)*, but this addition to rock, paper, scissors can actually be traced back to this dude.

Costiness=$15.99 Available from ThinkGeek [Flickr photo by Earthdog]

*Actually, a lot of people are probably thinking “what? Girls go to Comic Con? Awesome!”

Bar Trekkin’ by Go Ape Shirts [Review]

by Andy on November 24, 2008

Much like my last review, you can’t actually buy this one either (sorry, again), but this time it isn’t because the tee being limited edition, it’s because Go Ape Shirts got a friendly letter from CBS, who own the copyright to Star Trek, asking them to stop selling the tee. To me, this is quite clearly a parody, and there are lots of shirts out there for sale that are far more blatantly ripping the intellectual property of Star Trek, but Goliath tends to beat David in these situations, which is why I ended up receiving one of these tees. Even if you can’t buy this tee, it does serve as a good reminder that Go Ape consistently release some fantastic designs and have the print quality to do them justice.

The headline says it all really, Go Ape are being force to remove their latest design, Bar Trekkin’, which is obviously based upon a rather popular television series, and you have until Wednesday to buy it, after that, its gone.

I was going to go with a whole “he’s not worth it, he’s just not worth it, mate” joke to this post, which is a fairly familiar mantra to anyone else that has stumbled out of a club in England at 3am to be greeted by world-class a-holes trying to prove who is overcompensating the most (…aka, fighting), but then I realised that the phrase might not transfer very well to the majority of the audience since most of you are American. I wouldn’t want you think this tee wasn’t worth $18, because it quite blantantly is.

Other, ideas for this article were: suggesting it was illogical not to buy it, a Captain’s Log-style diary entry, shoehorning in a “we need more power” angle, writing the whole thing in Klingon, or pointing out that since it is a red shirt you’re the person most likely to die at the next Star Trek convention.

Glennz: A starship in a bottle!

Glennz: starship in a bottle

This is one of those designs where I really like the concept, style, and actual image, but I can’t see myself wearing it on a t-shirt. I guess its lucky for me then that this design is also available as a poster, huzzah. I’d be willing to guess that Star Trek fans would think it was pretty cool though. Oh, and since it seems like a Star Trek thing to mention, there was an episode (stardate:46424.1, seriously) of Star Trek: The Next Generation called ‘Ship in a Bottle’, I know that doesn’t mean anything to this discussion, but I thought it was funny that it shows up on the first page of google when you search for ship in a bottle.Costiness=$19.95 Link
