Rope Stripe Hoodie by Sailor Jerry

I could yak on for a couple of paragraphs about this hoodie, but they’ve done a good job with the blurb, so I’ll let them take it from here:

In case you don’t know it, horizontal stripes are an old school sailor thing. Men swabbed decks, shouted out whales, and had on-board barefisted boxing tournaments in these stripes. So we used them on a hoodie along with a Sailor Jerry clipper ship. You could leave your balls at home and still be a man when you wear this hoodie.

“Leave your balls at home and still be a man,” that’s what I like about small brands, they can get away with saying the things that larger brands wouldn’t dare.

Alcott Hoodie by Mike & chris @ Rare Chic

Despite being incredibly simple, I like this hoodie, although not enough to justify the the high price tag:

Another phenomenal hoodie by Mike & Chris. Incredibly soft grey fleece with a contrasting sulfur green stripe across the chest. Welt pockets and gold tone hardware. 80% Cotton, 20% Polyester. Running true to size.

Whilst I don’t really have any particular reason to believe it, looking at the hoodie closely I get the feeling that this is a pretty high-quality piece (hey, they describe it as both ‘phenomenal’ and ‘incredible’, so it must be good!). Oh, and I wonder if they realise that ’sulfur green’ actually just looks ‘kinda yellow’.
