“Undefeatable. Indestructible. Unstoppable.” Those are 3 words that ring ever so clearly in any passion driven dreamer’s mind. It’s a feeling that upcoming California design brand Fitted Life holds quite close. It is a reminder to keep moving forward. It’s a reminder to drive towards your dreams even if the road ahead is a challenging one. We fight to defend the stronghold.

This month of May, Fitted Life continues to defend the stronghold by offering 20% off all apparel using the promo code: “OFFTHETWENTY.” Redeem it at Fitted Life’s online store and keep the drive alive. Stay undefeatable, indestructible, and keep pushing towards your unstoppable dreams.

Andy: Nice submission, thanks guys!

Submit your news to Hide Your Arms!

submit your own post

Over the past few weeks I have been trying to juggle more and more projects whilst still having a ‘life’ that extends beyond sitting in front of a computer screen. I feel like HYA might have been suffering a bit because of that, I absolutely love writing Hide Your Arms, but at the same time there’s only so far it can go and so much time I can spend on it, so I started thinking of ways that I can streamline the submission process and get as much (possibly more) news and brands onto the site without me having to put more time and effort in. My solution is a news submission form.

Brands, designers, and ‘regular’ readers (I know you guys are special!) can now submit information about their latest releases, coupon codes, deals, and pictures via a special form that will automatically be put into a moderation queue, which I will then look at, edit, and post to the site. I know what you’re thinking, “Andy you handsome bastard, I only read HYA for your startling wit, insightful critique of designs, and frequent spelling mistakes, I don’t want brands writing self-promoting garbage!” Well, thanks for the compliment, but have no fear because I’ve realised that this feature could easily be abused.

When I write about coupon codes and sales, it’s pretty rare that I really give much editorial content. I tell you what you’ll save, and when possible when the sale will end, there’s not much more for me to do, so why not let the brands do it, and that way we’re guaranteed to get accurate information. There are guidelines that submitted posts are to be informative, not self-promotional, and I really, really want you guys to be on your game when it comes to comments, if a self-submitted brands sucks, let them know, because they’re literally asking for it. Of course, if I feel a submission is inappropriate, it simply won’t be posted, or I will edit a submitted post to suit the guidelines and add my personality to the posts.

HYA is always a two-way street when it comes to communication, so positiive and negative feedback about this new functionality is encouraged, if after a month or so I don’t feel like it’s working out it will go, but I’d like to give it a good go and see if it adds anything to the site, because for me getting more brands and more deals on here will generally be a positive thing. Please note that in it’s current state the form hasn’t had much testing, so it might be a bit rough around the edges.

Now go to hideyourarms.com/submit and submit to Hide Your Arms!

Mr. Tee Tee

This Threadless submission has been doing the rounds on tee blogs recently, and it’s been receiving a lot of attention, I usually don’t mention Threadless submissions since you guys can’t buy them. It’s a fun design, but I think people may have been going a bit overboard with their praise of it, as surely the only thing Threadless can do with it is a photo print, which would look cool, but I can’t imagine it living up to the concept. Now, if Threadless kicked it up to the next level (and probably a level beyond that too) and made the design out of scraps of tees, that would be epic!

Oh, and it’s a fair bet that it’ll get printed, considering that Shimala seemed pretty impressed by the sub on Flickr (yes, I do have my detective hat on).

Check it out here.
