hersh347 The Quiet Life: Sale & New Design

See I told you I might have to start copy/pasting!

1. SALE!
We’re having a major “end of summer”/ “back to school” / “economic bailout”
sale to help make some room before our next batch of designs show up.
Take a look. Sizes are limited. http://www.thequietlife.com

2. GOOD CAUSE CHARITY T-SHIRT - NEW DESIGN!
A new “Good Cause” charity t-shirt is now available in our online web store.
This season we decided to dedicate our best-selling Fall 08 design - “Sphinx”-
to the cause. http://www.thequietlife.com/ql_store2.htm

“Good Cause” is a continuing program of The Quiet Life’s,
where 100% of our profits from the sales of “Good Cause” shirts will
be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation ( http://www.cff.org ).
So it’s a win-win. You get a good design and at the same time help
generate a donation for the CF Foundation. Last season we were able
to donate $6,800 to the foundation - thanks to your support.

Keep an eye out for our entire Fall/Holiday 08 line coming soon…

Happy planet, sad planet, happy planet, sad planet…

Straight from their mailout:

We wanted to let you all know that we just posted our Spring/Summer 2008 collection! Check out all the new items at www.thequietlife.com. This line includes 10 new T-shirt designs ( including one by guest artist Christian Morin ), several new cut-n-sew pieces and a few new accessories. We’ve also added a new section to our shop for hand pulled silk-screen prints / posters, so be sure to look for that link.

That rather odd looking gif above is available (in its smiling mode) in the new line, but I would actually say its one of the weaker pieces in the collection, click on through to their store to check them out.

The Quiet Life: Spring Sale

Just like it says in the title, The Quiet Life, who I mentioned yesterday, are having a sale across all sections of their store to clear out room for their incoming Spring/Summer ‘08 range. There looks to be some decent savings available, though stocks are limited, so check it out.

I know that some people think that $25 is a lot for a shirt, I don’t because I’m British and our pound laughs at your puny dollar. But I think that even the stingiest Shirt.Woot forum poster couldn’t be annoyed at paying $25 for this tee since 100% of sales is going to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as part of The Quiet Life’s Good Cause t-shirt design competition. I’ll let them explain what exactly that is:

This design is the winner of our online “DESIGN A T-SHIRT FOR A GOOD CAUSE CONTEST” and is the first t-shirt design in our new GOOD CAUSE project. The idea behind GOOD CAUSE is to help raise funds and awareness for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The cost of these shirts, the screen printing cost, and all other costs were donated to us by our vendors so that 100% of the proceeds from the sales of this design could go directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. To find out more about the Cystic Firbrosis Foundation please visit cff.org

It’s a… nice graphic, not exaclty anything spectacular, but I like it because of the simplicity and use of space, in fact, I feel as if it needs this kind of simplicity for the graphic to work, and of course I like the way that the arm goes all the way to the side of the body.

Costiness=$25 Link [thanks, Cool Hunting!]

Shout it out loud!

Andy over at the Quiet Life e-mailed me about their latest goings on in LaLa Land (I’m sure only people who aren’t from there call it that) and I thought it was worth a post since I like what they’re doing as a group.

They’ve got a spring sale running until the 17th of March (this Friday) with money off everything in store, and they’ve got countdowns on how many of each hoody is left just to get you in even more of a spending frenzy!

They’ve also had a major update on their camera club section, it’s jam packed with excellent shots by photographers from around the world (what else would you expect? This is the internet, after all). If you like the pictures then I encourage you to get a copy of the book they published, which also has a few dollars off its usual price until Friday.

They also recently ran a competition asking people to draw cameras in exchange for glamourous prizes, check out the winning drawings here.

In the country

ql079_blockstitch_navyIt might be a silly thing to say, but I have a feeling that there is a kind of retro/robot/disco thing going on here?

The Quiet Life is a creative project based in Los Angeles, I can’t quite work out if they’re an apparel company that does art, or an art company with an apparel sideline, but they definitely have a camera club, which seems to have made rather a nice looking book.

But this is HYA, and I love pictures, but here, I prefer hoodies, and luckily they some rather nice looking stuff. The logo hoody to the right is one of my preferred items that is available from their store but don’t let that fool you into thinking that’s all I like, we may well be returning to TQL next week for a look at another item.

Costiness= $50 (just under £30 to the Anglophiles), two colours to pick from, and the regular selection of sizes.
