Deals of the Day: Threadless, Hoodiepeople.com, Ugmonk, Your Eyes Lie, Star Wars, and Robots

224090 newemail 480x185 Deals of the Day: Threadless, Hoodiepeople.com, Ugmonk, Your Eyes Lie, Star Wars, and Robots

I’m going to start trying something different with all these deals that are coming in at the moment, instead of posting them all individually I’ll do a roundup. This will mean less posts per day on the site so that content is on the front page for a bit longer, and keep things a bit neater too hopefully.

From 10am CT Threadless will be having another 24hrs of $9 tee madness, so you’ll probably want to get on that. If $9 isn’t cheap enough for you, remember that I’m selling Threadless gift certificates, which would make a good deal better, and I’ve teamed up with Adam Fletcher of The Tee Directory fame, meaning that there are even more Threadless Gift Certificates available (I’d been running pretty low, especially after taking advantage of the sales myself). The price is $17 for a $25 GC, $35 for a $50 GC, and $70 for a $100 GC, and yes, we have done the math on those numbers.

myFavHoodieContest 480x63 Deals of the Day: Threadless, Hoodiepeople.com, Ugmonk, Your Eyes Lie, Star Wars, and Robots

hoodiepeople.com are running a contest from now until December 21st wherein all you have to do is send them a picture of you in your favourite hoodie and tell them why it’s your favourite, and you might win a $100 or $50 gift certificate for their site, which is enough for a hoodie there, so not a bad prize at all.

Jeff from Ugmonk has very kindly offered us a coupon code that will get you 15% off your order from now until December 18th. Enter the coupon code HYA15 at the coupon code to apply the discount. Thanks Jeff!

Like Star Wars? Like the Virgin Mary? Like tattoo artists Jesus Monier? Well then the above tee might be for you, and you can get 20% off it (making the tee $16 rather than $20) by using the coupon code DarthMary2009 at Always Urban.

There’s 25% off loads of stuff at Your Eyes Lie, so enjoy that. Hopefully I’ll be able to give you guys a review of their bricks & mortar store when I head down to London in a couple of weeks.

No deal here, but this popular tee has come back into stock at Cuppa T-Shirts and I couldn’t be bothered making a post just for it.

According to Ugmonk, there’s more to life

theres more blog1 407x640 According to Ugmonk, theres more to life

It almost feels weird posting about a t-shirt rather than a sale after I’ve spent the past week wearing down the percentage symbol on my keyboard, but when Ugmonk release something I’m compelled to write about it, even if last time I wasn’t all that enthused by their offerings. Fortunately, I can be happy when I press publish on this post (I really don’t like writing negative posts) because I wish that me and this design could hold hands walking through a park and throwing bits of bread at ducks in a pond… which means I like it. I also really like that Jeff posted on the Ugmonk blog about the process behind creating the design. You can also get 10% off by using the coupon code GIVEBACK09, and from now until Christmas, for every item you order Ugmonk with make a donation to Samaritan’s purse that will give a hot meal to a child that otherwise would be going hungry.

In a fit of what might be irony (to be honest, like a lot of people, I could be calling a lot of things ironic when the word I’m actually looking for is ‘coincidence’), I like these tees, they’re very wearable and I think they’d go well as part of an outfit, but I’m not excited by them. Perhaps I’ve come to expect too much of Ugmonk, who in my mind are one of the best type tee labels out there, because I’ve wanted to wear basically everything they’ve put out before, but these two designs seem to be lacking a certain something compared to a great design like ‘& then I woke up‘. That said, there is definitely an ‘Ugmonk style’ to previous releases, and whilst there’s a case for sticking with with what works, you’ve also got to respect Jeff (Sheldon, the brands founder) for doing what he wants and trying something different.

Please note that these shirts only come as a pair, you cannot purchase them separately.

Ugmonk turns 1 and releases a tee to celebrate the occasion!

01.09.2009

If you asked me how old Ugmonk was I wouldn’t have said one, I thought they were wayyyyy older, like 2 or something. They’ve certainly come a long way, I’m pretty sure I remember seeing one of their designs in the Urban Outfitters on Walnut in Philly, and I doubt many small brands get their [...]

Here’s a couple of tees that Ugmonk realeased last month

13.07.2009

How on earth did I miss this? Ugmonk, who are impressively consistent when it comes to releasing great designs, released a pair of not-mind-blowing-but-really-good tees last month. Both are $21 and can be picked up from the Ugmonk shop. [via Coty]

U Can’t Handle the Truth by Random Objects

04.06.2009

When I first saw this tee (on Rumplo) I presumed that it would be by Ugmonk, since ‘character with short message written in it’ is kind of their thing (I even saw an Ugmonk tee on sale in the Philly branch of Urban Outfitters), but I know that no one owns that style, so Random [...]

‘And then I woke up’… wearing an Ugmonk hoodie

27.03.2009

Hey Andy,
Wanted to let you know about the new Ugmonk hoody ($52) that I just released. It based on Ugmonk’s best-seller “And Then I Woke Up” and is printed on zinc* AA zip-up fleece. I have also added an extra touch with custom Ugmonk woven hem tags.
Thanks in advance!

Ugmonk stick to their formula for coolness

10.02.2009

You may have noticed that Ugmonk do one thing and they do it well. They put characters and numbers on tee in pleasing colourways and people like them for it. I guess that it might get a bit same-y somewhere down the line, but I’ve been impressed with all their releases so far.
Also, they’re re-releasing [...]

Ugmonk are busy: new tee, exclusive coupon code, & a charity drive

27.11.2008

1. Ugmonk have a new tee which follows on in their usual enjoyable typographical style. They’re well on the way to cornering the “big number, small message” market.
2. From today (well, yesterday, sorry), until December 10th, you can get 12% off your order at Ugmonk by using the coupon code HYAGIVE.
3. I know I’ve put [...]
